He's classified as an ‘Endangered Missing Adult’ – the police and FBI will reclassify as a homicide...once Billy's body is found (several unsuccessful searches have been conducted for his body). Date/Time Missing: August 24, 2004 (Age 31). 2nd to last sighting - 2:59PM at McDonald's and then at his residence in the vicinty of 100 block of Holly St. in Waterbury, CT later in the day. All of his personal belongings were left behind (truck, keys, wallet).
Missing persons report filed at Waterbury, PD on August 27, 2004 - exact time not sure - late evening.

Not sure if this is helpful or not. Just thinking numbers help so here's a time-specific placing of Billy since we're only able to say he was last seen later in the day at his residence...he placed a 2:59 p.m. order for a Whopper, cheeseburger, medium fries and Coke.

I've recently met Jan and Bill Smolinski who's son Billy went missing 5 years ago. Since that day they've worked tirelessly to find him. I wanted to add that Billy Smolinski's truck was at his house but not parked the way he always parked it which raised eyebrows.

Additionally, detectives found Billy's wallet and keys stuffed underneath the driver's seat of his truck - also unusual.

And P.S. LE didn't seize the truck to review for evidence until Oct. 2008. I know, I know! The family took the truck and stored it knowing that it may hold clues.

The 2:59 pm purchase at McDonald's is not the event that triggered the subsequent disappearance and does not produce a helpful chart.

I understand that later that day Billy made a threatening phone call to his ex-girlfriend's secret lover. The detectives should have the time that phone call was made and a chart cast for that time/date/location may prove helpful.

Additionally, the actual time Billy was reported missing on 8/27/04 certainly must be recorded on the Missing Person Report and that time/date/location may also produce a helpful chart.

Billy's mother should have access to this information.

I’m hoping someone will be able to offer assistance in the case of Sierra Hess, age 11, and Keara Hess, age 12 and pregnant, both missing from Mooreshead, NC and believed to be abducted by their adoptive father, Matthew Hess, age40. The girls were last seen by their (adoptive?) mother, Janette Hess, at approximately 9PM on Wednesday, Sep. 23, 2009 before she left the home to go to work. Janette Hess left work for home at approximately 4AM, awakened at 8AM to find a note from her husband indicating that he was taking the girls to purchase school supplies, then on to school. Keara, who is at least 8 1/2 months pregnant (baby’s father unknown), missed a scheduled doctor’s appointment on the morning of Sep. 24, 2009 (Thursday) and the girls never made it to school that day. An Amber alert has been issued.

Calls were made earlier in the day:
Aug. 24, 2004, 3 calls made to ex gf's long time boy friend;, CS.
11:44am, 11:44am, 11:58am
First 2 calls, no answer or no message left. 11:45am, message left,
'C---, you better watch your back.'

Also, police would have time that Billy asked neighbor to watch his dog.
Neighbor said around 5:30pm, but that could be off.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing infant from Nashville, TN.

Yair Anthony Carillo was born on 9/25/2009. They aren't releasing the hospital of birth, and I'm not talented enough to find it, but it appears that it was in Nashville, TN also.

The 911 call was made at 2:40 pm on 9/29/2009.


Tennessee Police Search for Newborn Allegedly Snatched by Fake Agent

Investigators said a woman pretending to be an immigration officer showed up at Maria Gurolla's home in south Nashville Tuesday afternoon and demanded she hand over her newborn son.

When Gurolla would not comply, the woman allegedly stabbed her eight times and took off with the baby.

I share your frustration. None of these cases seem to ever be close to being solved, do they? Even going as far back as Kathy Wilson. There was never a resolve in that case, just a bunch of BS. I recently found out that my husband's cousin is closely related by marriage to a POI in the Yolanda Bindics case and I talked to her about this forum and wondered if I could perhaps get timed and dated info from her for the astro's here that might help in the case. The problem is she does not want to have anything to do with them,.... ever....

Anyway, I share your frustration....

The POLICE REPORT indicates ... On 07-28-2009 at approximatey 0022 hours (PDST), I was dispatched to the PPD front counter to investigate a possible missing adult.

Upon arrival, I contacted dispatch, who told me the RP, "FH", called from Kansas City, Kansas to report her husband Robert Harrod, missing ...

Real sad day ... again ... disappointment ... let's hope the person found wasn't a victim of homicide. Maybe a heart attack or a seizure - but please not another murdered woman in this region.

Karamjit was born in India on 5 August 1993. She has been in the US about a year, speaks hardly any English, has few friends (sounds a lot like Mariam's case doesn't it?)..

Her family had a new silver mountain bike. Karamjit was learning to ride it. At 6:30 pm on 30 September she was hot and went outside to ride her bike the poor girl even had her pajamas on... (she usually rode right in front of the house). Her family noticed her missing within a HALF HOUR and called police. (estimate reported missing time as seven pm). Her bike was found a quarter mile away at a skate park. LE says:

Whan said it's unknown whether Kaur left the bike at the park, or if someone else found it elsewhere and then left it there. There was no sign the bike had been damaged by a car.
But he said knowing how the bike got there, and where it was when Kaur was last with it, is key to their investigation.
"If we knew where the bike had been left when she left it, we would be concentrating our search in that area instead," he said.

Lost Hills deputies arrested Richardson at Geoffrey’s Restaurant in Malibu at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 16 for allegedly failing to pay her tab and being in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, both misdemeanor charges.
Richardson had no car when she was released from the Lost Hills station on Agoura Road because it had been impounded at the restaurant. The 24-year-old Los Angeles resident went missing after she walked away from the station shortly after 1 a.m. the following day.
