Paris attacks 'mastermind' Abdelhamid Abaaoud 'killed' during raid on flat in French capital

Snip

intelligence officials confirmed the prominent Isis militant had been killed during the confrontation.

French prosecutor Francois Molins, overseeing the investigation, told a press conference this evening that due to the "state of the bodies" they were unable to confirm their identities.

"I am not able to give you precise information about the identitiy of the people who have died," he told reporters.

Two people inside the flat - speculated as Abaaoud and possibly Salah Abdeslam - died after a female suicide bomber reportedly detonated her explosive belt.

Momof4, FoxNews says that WAPO is reporting so many are believing it to be true...I'm still waiting for more confirmation than just WAPO

Obama offers to work with Russia against ISIS under one condition

The Russian prime minister said that the best way to combat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is to unite with the West, and Russia is already coordinating airstrikes with France.

While President Obama seems to agree, he said there is a catch: Russia must first help end the Syrian war. Just days after Russia launched its first significant strikes against the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, President Obama extended an offer.

I saw it too on my MSM page. Waiting to do the dance. Ding Dong the Witch is dead. Sadly another will step up. Sigh....

I think all these raids and stuff are great, but, I wish all governments would do this stuff before attacks happen. There shouldn't be room for a step up of targeting Isis members and locations, it should have been going full steam already. IMO of course.

Sorry if this was posted. This is too much.

http://www.ibtimes.co.in/turkey-8-s...trying-enter-germany-refugees-arrested-655395

Turkey has arrested 8 suspected Islamic State (Isis) militants at Islanbul's Ataturk Airport after investigations revealed that the suspects were planning to enter Germany posing as refugees.

According to state-run Anadolu Agency, the eight men claimed that they had come on a visit to Istanbul from Casablanca (Morocco) as "tourists." The police, however, were suspicious of the group and asked them where they were staying.

I am all for accepting the % of Refugees slated to come to my Province of Ontario. I just want to know the vetting process. We do have a small Muslim Community here and I know some folks were uncomfortable when that happened a few years back. Me not so much. Then.
ETA-this influx has me concerned since it's being accelerated

Are they going to run the vetting process by the citizens? What happens if the process has loopholes? What if there's a mistake?

Then what?

Tennessee lawmaker wants Guard to round up Syrian refugees

"We need to activate the Tennessee National Guard and stop them from coming in to the state by whatever means we can," House Republican Caucus Chairman Glen Casada of the Nashville suburb of Franklin told The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/1HXp3HJ ) for Wednesday's editions. He said the Guard should "politely" take the Syrian refugees already in the state to federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement centers and tell the officials there, "They're not coming to Tennessee, they're yours."

But Casada argued: "Tennessee is a sovereign state. If the federal government is forsaking the obligation to protect our citizens, we need to act."

This is just the beginning......I think we can expect lawsuits to start being filed somewhere around Black Friday and beyond.

Just heard on radio we're not putting troops on the ground .. does that mean air strikes? They're worried about what happens afterwards.

...and the Saudi's funded ISIS in the beginning didn't they?

Sucks doesn't it? I feel like our leaders will happily leap off any cliff the US suggests without even taking a look first.

.....and believe me, many of us US citizens don't like the leap our leaders push us off of! We don't have much say; contrary to popular belief!

I believe you, none of us do. Makes me wonder why we bother voting, seems whoever gets in has this same basic notion that we wish to be involved in perpetual war?

ATasteofHoney, you are absolutely right!!!! We practically live under a dictator that has zero respect for Congress, the Senate, and most importantly the People. It is absolutely stunning because no matter what your affiliation is, we have separate branches of government for a reason, and the Executive branch is not the judge, jury and executioner in a democratic society JMO

https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...l?hpid=hp_hp-banner-high_paris:homepage/story

FWIW Elly Mae, Foxnews reports (live) that the raid did "target" the Paris Attack "mastermind" and that there are reports that he was among the dead but they (fox) cannot confirm this.
