encrypted messenger App company succumbs to public pressure

This is the Russian based one, not the ten Western companies, bowing to pressure

Telegram, a privacy-minded messaging app that has been taken up by Isis militants, has blocked dozens of “Isis-related channels”, the company has announced.

The startup has been criticized in recent weeks for its use by extremists, and on Tuesday its founder, exile Russian tech mogul Pavel Durov, said: “I think the French government is as responsible as Isis for this, because it is their policies and carelessness which eventually led to the tragedy.”

Now that is frightening. It has been pretty common for illegals to come into the US from there. They simply cross borders.

Thank You so much Montjoy for your post way back. I went out today to spread the love and give back to my own Community. Donation to the Food Bank. Donations to A Childs Christmas. Then I stopped at our local animal shelter to donate Money and big bags of food. I said to the girl this donation is in honor of Diesel. Gawd for some reason I started to cry. She said I am so sorry you lost your pet Diesel. I could not get the words out so i left it at that. Part way home I started to chuckle after drying my tears. They think my pet died as I was so emotional LOL. So thanks too terrorists for reminding me as well I can do something. The very thing you hate!!!! I feel so much better taking some small action.

From looking at all the pics and video it is mostly young muslim men as refugees.

The numbers of Syrian refugees since 2011 show that it has been 51% male. The number of males age 18-50 has been 22% of all refugees.

I chuckled at the story, as well. :grouphug:

You know what worries me, any ISIS member could get a fake passport and travel to any country they like as tourists and how would our officials even know it?

Couple of terrorism fund workers, incl. British hate preaching imam, who are BARRED from leaving UK are found on a train heading for Romania - and UK is not even part of Schengen agreement - convicts come and go as they like here.

A British hate preacher who is banned from leaving the UK after being convicted for terrorism offences has been arrested in Hungary - where he tried to use the Koran as his ID.
Trevor Brooks, also known as Abu Izzadeen, an infamous Islamist extremist who was jailed in 2008 for financing terrorism, was stopped by officers on Saturday at Lokoshaza - a crossing point on the Hungarian border - while bound for Romania on a train.
When the 44-year-old was stopped Saturday, he reportedly presented officers with Islam's Holy Book as his form of identification.Police said the pair were both were barred from leaving Britain without permission when they were released in 2009 from prison. It only emerged that they were subject to a European arrest warrant after they were detained, police spokeswoman Viktoria Csiszer-Kovacs told AFP

OMG, LMAO, apparently one of the "subjects", arrested during the French raid in Saint Denis this morning, lost his pants and was taken into custody in only his shirt.

The ones taking him into custody almost certainly stripped him of his clothes to "clear" him to be removed and transported, to make sure he had no weapons or explosives on him.

No dignity for terrorists. I'm okay with that.

Interesting and very lengthy article.

"What ISIS Really Wants

The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse. Here’s what that means for its strategy—and for how to stop it."

"There is a temptation to rehearse this observation—that jihadists are modern secular people, with modern political concerns, wearing medieval religious disguise—and make it fit the Islamic State. In fact, much of what the group does looks nonsensical except in light of a sincere, carefully considered commitment to returning civilization to a seventh-century legal environment, and ultimately to bringing about the apocalypse.

The most-articulate spokesmen for that position are the Islamic State’s officials and supporters themselves. They refer derisively to “moderns.” In conversation, they insist that they will not—cannot—waver from governing precepts that were embedded in Islam by the Prophet Muhammad and his earliest followers. They often speak in codes and allusions that sound odd or old-fashioned to non-Muslims, but refer to specific traditions and texts of early Islam.

To take one example: In September, Sheikh Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the Islamic State’s chief spokesman, called on Muslims in Western countries such as France and Canada to find an infidel and “smash his head with a rock,” poison him, run him over with a car, or “destroy his crops.” To Western ears, the biblical-sounding punishments—the stoning and crop destruction—juxtaposed strangely with his more modern-sounding call to vehicular homicide. (As if to show that he could terrorize by imagery alone, Adnani also referred to Secretary of State John Kerry as an “uncircumcised geezer.”)

But Adnani was not merely talking trash. His speech was laced with theological and legal discussion, and his exhortation to attack crops directly echoed orders from Muhammad to leave well water and crops alone—unless the armies of Islam were in a defensive position, in which case Muslims in the lands of kuffar, or infidels, should be unmerciful, and poison away.

The reality is that the Islamic State is Islamic. Very Islamic. Yes, it has attracted psychopaths and adventure seekers, drawn largely from the disaffected populations of the Middle East and Europe. But the religion preached by its most ardent followers derives from coherent and even learned interpretations of Islam."

Syrians with stolen passports caught trying to enter US, police say

Police in Honduras caught five Syrians who were trying to make their way to the United States with stolen and doctored passports, a police spokesman in Tegucigalpa told Reuters Wednesday.

The Syrians had no apparent link to the attackers in Paris, police said. The stolen passports were reportedly Greek.

At least one suspect in Friday's massacre had reportedly entered Europe with a fake Syrian passport.

Thanks so much. We all are here. It felt good to turn my frustration, heartache, some anger (I try not to go there-anger) To something positive. I urge you all to do some small gesture of kindness toward another. We are all in this together. Hugs back sweets.

what did i post yesterday? Do ISIS want to fake hoaxes for media and disruption value?

breaking report
Hannover and Air France false alarms could signal Isil hoax campaign
Colin Freeman reports that security experts have warned a spate of hoax security threats that grounded two French airliners and sparked alerts at a Germany-Holland football match on Tuesday night could signal the start of a concerted campaign of disruption by Isil.
As police and intelligence officials remain on peak alert in the wake of Friday night's terror attacks in Paris, fears have emerged that Isil supporters could try to wreak extra havoc by flooding emergency services with fake calls.

The warnings came after two Air France jets bound for Paris from the US were diverted on Tuesday evening because of anonymous threats received after they had taken off. US officials later found no evidence of bombs on board.
Meanwhile, German police found a fake bomb on a train in the city of Hanover on Tuesday night, where a Germany-Holland friendly was cancelled because of a separate earlier threat passed on to them by an intelligence source.

Source SkyNews as reported by Foxnews: Prosecutors in France say Jewish Teacher stabbed (expected to be ok) by 3 people claiming to support ISIS. Attackers are reported to have made anti-semitic remarks during the attack.

Ha! The brothers couldn't see the link .....as ex cons with drug raps, converting to suicide bombing jobs ...

As we speak ISIS in Raqqa are forcing young residents and those with found guilty of "misdemeanours" onto the front line to die as allied assaults advance ie. cannon fodder

The sooner that we outline to the young and vulnerable that this is a mugs game, not a hero's mission , we might get somewhere.
Mug = naive, taken advantage of type
