I am still wondering about the timeline.
At 02.45 hrs the grandmother speaks with Maëlys.
At 03.00 hrs her mother cannot find her.
At 03.10 hrs the dj makes an announcement and the search starts.
At some moment after 03.00 hrs the mother goes outside and sees Nordahl.
Assuming the times are right, and the grandmother did speak with her, there was hardly any opportunity for NL to abduct Maëlys. He did NOT take her during the time he was absent and went home to change his short, because when he returned, she was still there. Between 02.45 and 03.00 hrs the girl somehow vanished from the room where the children were sleeping to the entrance of the parking lot where she got into a car and her trail ends.
All without being seen.
I would like to see a floorplan of the hall. It was said that the parking had only one entrance, but what about the building? Could she have gone to the bathroom? Did she have to pass through the room where the adults were dancing?
I keep on wondering about the timeline.
The grandmother is the last one to speak with Maëlys, at 02.45 hrs.
The mother notices that Maëlys is missing at 03.00 hrs.
At 03.10 hrs the entire party is alerted.
Mother goes outside and sees Nordahl Lelandais who does not seem interested in the search.
The Gendarmerie arrives shortly before 04.00 hrs, Nordahl Lelaqndais has left the venue shortly before that.
So how did he do it (assuming that he did)?
Did he abduct Maëlys between 02.45 and 03.00 hrs and keep her in his car while everybody was looking for her?
If he did, that would have been very risky. Someone might decide to search the cars. If Maëlys was only subdued, she might wake up and start making noises. Or if they were playing a game like hide and seek, she might answer her mother when she heard her mother calling her name.
It was said that he left before the Gendarmerie arrived. He could not possibly know WHEN they would be arriving. They could have been there within 5 minutes if they had been nearby.
IMHO it is hardly possible that Maëlys disappeared between 02.45 hrs and 03.00 hrs and that Nordahl Lelandais was involved as the sole perpetrator.
I see 3 alternative scenarios:
1. the statement of the grandmother is not correct
2. Nordahl Lelandais had an accomplice who took Maëlys away in a car at the entrance of the parking lot
3. Someone else took Maëlys
