In the same article, Sabrina tells the court "Sir, I was going to school in May to be a doctor."

What University starts in May?

Makes me wonder what type of video LE were referring to in their statements. Since there is not much news coming out at the moment I may amuse myself by looking around the neighborhood where DE SHOT A BABY IN THE FACE and see if I can pick out stores and businesses that may have video surveillance. Maybe take a google earth walk round the area on my lunch hour today.

Just for kicks.

Well, she doesn't need to go to a university to learn how to lie with a straight face, because she's got a PhD in THAT already! From the above article, her response to her brother's arrest after she helped dispose of the gun but before she was arrested:

On March 22, Sabrina Elkins told us, "My brother is locked up for no reason, and it's hurting my heart because he's locked up for no reason, period!"

Or possibly she doesn't consider SHOOTING A BABY IN THE FACE as a reason to look someone up. With that family, it could be possible.

P.S. ticya, thumbs up!

Wonder if the video is what the poster below the story linked (below) is talking about also.

"In another new development, the state filed an order requesting the attorneys working on this case to no longer speak to the media. The judge approved that request, saying media coverage could make it difficult for the defendants to get a fair trial."

I was wondering when this would happen in regard to the statements being made by DE's public defenders. This also probably means that the district attorney no longer thinks they need to make requests for more information from the public.

"Several days after the shooting last month, Elkins’ mother, Karimah Elkins, 36, and sister, 19, were jailed on charges of tampering with evidence for allegedly discarding the handgun used in the shooting into a pond. Elkins’ aunt, Katrina Elkins, 33, and his mother are also charged with making a false statement for allegedly providing a false alibi for Elkins.

Karimah Elkins has been jailed 51 times since 1994 for mostly misdemeanors, including criminal trespass, simple battery, shoplifting and theft, according to the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office. His aunt has been jailed 37 times."

I'm just astounded at the amount of times that these 2 have been arrested. Not exactly upstanding members of society, now are they?

The closest convenience stores in the area would be on Gloucester Street, which is the same street the Post Office is on. There are no convenience stores South of the location, several North though.

From that latest article Hickory Born linked above, this quote:

But his attorney, Kimberly Copeland, says police have painted the wrong picture of her young client. She describes the 8th-grader as passive, a kid with no prior criminal history. "He's not a monster at all," she said. "Anyone you talk to, he's a good kid. He don't have any gang affiliation. He was not a child who was into fights."

...makes me hope this was a typo. BBM.

Otherwise, bless her heart.

There's a convenience store south of the location on the corner of 1st and Norwich St. It's a little closer than the ones on Gloucester St.

The Mckinnon House Bed and Breakfast is right at the location and very likely to have video surveillance for insurance purposes. Glynn Academy (our high school) is also very close and likely to have video. I wouldn't be surprised to find that there are residences in the area with video surveiliance as well.

BRUNSWICK, GA. — Prosecutors are asking a judge to impose a gag order in the case of a Brunswick teenager charged with fatally shooting a baby in the face.

The Brunswick News reports ( http://bit.ly/17t3s9Y) that District Attorney Jackie Johnson filed the request Wednesday, saying attorneys on both sides should be prohibited from talking to the news media to ensure a fair trial for 17-year-old De'Marquise (day-mahr-KEESE) Elkins.

The prosecutor's gag order request doesn't mention a second suspect, 15-year-old Dominique Lang, who is charged with felony murder. Lang's attorney is asking for him to be tried separately from Elkins.

Well don't forget, she also said,

“He couldn't have done that to a little baby”...“My brother has a good heart.”

That's why he *held up that pastor a few weeks earlier, and that's why she and momma *had to ditch his gun in that salt-water pond. Because of his good heart. And her med school plans.

There has been a suggestion that there is a convenience store video showing DE and DL together, which would be evidence they DID know each other. (Long, involved comment under Hickory's news article above.) No telling if that's true or not at this point, but it's something else to consider rather than just the exterior surveillance video idea (eg. local B&B, etc.).

yes PIM. I saw that comment beneath the article with the allegation that LE has surviellence video from a convenience store showing both DE and DL getting beverages TOGETHER shortly before the shooting. That was the reason I am trying to figure out which store that might be and map it compared to where DL lives and alleges he was taken at gunpoint, threatened with death and forced to participate in the SHOOTING of a BABY in the FACE (nod to my dear Minette there not yelling at you)
