"After weeks of searching, police say they've now made a break in the case. The Fulton County Medical Examiners Office on Monday identified a set of remains discovered in Chattahoochee Hills as being 39-year-old Salter. A second set of remains found in the area have not been identified at this time.

Police say they are investigating the case as a homicide.

Salter's family is expected to hold a press conference Tuesday at 3 p.m. to address the discovery."

On Monday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner told Channel 2′s Matt Johnson that remains found on a farm in the Chattahoochee Hills area on March 11 have been identified as Salter, who was 39. Guerra has not been identified.

The farm where the bodies were found is about 25 miles away from East Point.

“Scientists are conducting DNA processing on the second set of remains to get an identification,” the GBI said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said they are investigating Salter’s death as a homicide, but they have not released his cause of death.

It took over a month to make an ID with dental records? Very strange.
From the video of the family speaking after confirmation of Jason’s body. A family spokesperson said, of Kenny’s family:

“…the only difference between where they stand and where we stand now is that we were able to track down some dental records…”

So, interpreting that statement, and just a guess on why it maybe took so long for positive ID: perhaps it took a while for the family to locate/obtain Jason’s dental records? And maybe the Guerra family haven’t been able to find dental records for Kenny? JMO

How awful for these two men’s loved ones. :(

Wow, this is unfortunate. The areas may be 22 miles apart, but I'm not surprised. The car with both cell phones was found at 3901 Campbellton Road. Campbellton Road runs right into Chattahooche-Palmetto Highway, the road where the farm is off of. If the bodies belong to the missing men, imo whoever did this is someone who lives or is very familiar with the southside area.
I agree,The is where t south Fulton and the westside kind of converge doing over

i thought the same when I initially heard about the bodies.I work in this area where south Fulton and the westside going into douglasville converge.I had hoped it wasn’t them but I assumed it would be.Sad strange case nonetheless. They for sure will catch the peeps, and we will soon find out the who and why.

I wish I could say more that wouldn't violate site rules but a hornet's nest DEFINITELY seems to have been poked. I share around 200 mutual friends with one of them and the amount of death around them is eery, no other way to say it. Most of the deaths were accidents and don't indicate foul play but mind boggling how CLOSE that many of them were to each other. Literally one death after the other. Also, being very clear that I don't know either of them personally.

MOO
My sentiments exactly…super eerie

Not strange at all actually. The family will provide the death investigators with the name of the latest dentist. Sometimes they don't know who the person's dentist was. You'd be surprised how often that happens. ( For example, I have been married 11 years and I have no idea who my husband's dentist is - it's someone he sees near his workplace which is an hour from our home). So sometimes getting THAT can information can take a week or more. The investigators then normally phone the dentist, then fax them a release- where they request x-rays, charting, and a legend. Some dentists don't provide this immediately if they are short-staffed and/or really busy, some ask for a subpoena, depending on their personal practices. Then when the investigators receive that they have to contact a forensic dentist to come and compare - if the county is small they may have to bring one in from another area and it doesn't happen immediately.

In other cases similar to this, it's drug related and there is usually an investigation that was ongoing, before they ended up deceased. It won't surprise me if it's similar circumstances.
Along the same lines as drug related....I was thinking of G-related. I've noticed three of these type of investigations being kept under wraps.moo
