Thanks for all the updates on tge bench and memorial, BW. I'm grateful her family is getting support from the community.
So what about McD? No news at all? I wish Agent Frank would sign in with an update. I know it's going to be quite awhile before a trial commences, but it would be nice to know if there is e some movement in the case.
I've been glad to provide the updates on the bench, etc. -- seems like the media folks around here have been all over that, at least -- but I'm sorry that, nope, as far as anything else, seems mum has been the word.
There is barely a mention of anything about SM or the trial in the coverage of the memorial events -- but that doesn't surprise me, and, in fact, I think that was a good thing -- just feel like those were to focus on Lauren and the imprint she left.
But the
overall silence since that last bond hearing, that does surprise me a little. I guess maybe there just hasn't been too much to report. Also, an upcoming election -- that could be some degree of influence on sort of a moratorium, possibly. Like you, I'd like to hear from AgentFrank or someone with similar "insights", bessie.
I have been thinking, though -- OK, let's review (and once again, sorry for the ALL CAPS below; it's that way in the source, but
bbm):
DEFENSE ATTORNEY FRANK HOGUE SAYS THEY LIKE WON'T HAVE ANY MORE HEARINGS THIS SUMMER.... BUT RATHER, THEY'LL SPEND THE MONTHS COMBING THROUGH EVIDENCE AND PREPARING FOR TRIAL.
MOTIONS IN THE CASE ARE DUE AUGUST 31... BUT HOGUE SAYS AFTER LOOKING AT THE BODY OF EVIDENCE... THE DEFENSE TEAM WILL PROBABLY NEED MORE TIME.

As we talked a little about before, maybe a local media outlet will seek an update around the time of those first motions originally being due, Aug. 31, even though it looks as though those may be delayed.
I did have a stray thought: It's been so QUIET. Then, what with the memorials being scheduled so close to that Aug. 31 date -- and with members of Lauren's family being in town ... I got to thinking, Hmmm, wondering if a plea could be in the works... . I really think not, but -- after following Mickey Shunick's case (as you know I have, bessie), I'm reminded that anything can happen.
I do hope to hear something soon. I'm on the lookout, MSM-wise -- unfortunately, not placed too well in my current life activities to hear much from elsewhere.
