I am also talking about this "evidence." If there is no medical proof he can't smell and they only have his word, no one is buying it. Hearing loss in one ear is a desperate and pathetic defense that will not work and be entirely laughable. JMO.

He would not love CFA if he could not smell ;)

his lawyer reminds me of jose baez. he'll do/say whatever he wants in an attempt to put doubt in the jury's mind.

That's his job.
I'd expect no less.

Then we're having a major mind meld. The last sentence of your post is exactly what I "said," right down to the ellipses. Great minds and all that lol

What you said:
"We don't know if there's any medical proof, but it sure sounds like there will be. Especially about the hearing loss. Desperate and pathetic are your opinions, to which you're certainly entitled, but they may not be shared by a jury in the event there is medical evidence of both those conditions -- especially if it's corroborated by other witnesses who only have their reputation to lose by confirming it on the witness stand. jmo"

What I said:

"And the jury is absolutely free to see a defense tactic as desperate and pathetic...even with medical evidence."

Unless I traveled back to preschool and can't read, I never quoted you.

People say AZ doesn't feel hot because it's a DRY heat... I say "whatever" ...115 in the shade sounds like hell on earth to me!

Oh, it does! That particular trip, my tires blew out, radiator overheated, and spark plugs needed replacing too. Alll because of the heat- about every 30 miles we were having car problems.

That is amazing that the congregation member didn't see anything in the hearing! That is a scary Thought! JMO

Makes me wonder what he's got going on in HIS head....just saying...IMO

Don't bicker please. Agree to disagree. Remember that everyone gets their own opinion and the differences you see here are likely to show up in a jury of peers. It's good to know, ahead of time, what you are up against.

Be respectful.

Thanks,

Salem

Waiting for Linda and Lina to catch up :waiting:

I also wonder what tomorrow's search warrants will bring. I'm hoping it's something new and not just the stuff we learned from the hearing.

Okay. I'll stand corrected. Nonetheless, I agree with the statement that "the jury is absolutely free to see a defense tactic as desperate and pathetic...even with medical evidence" so the GMTA statement still applies :) Not sure that's a positive statement about juries, though. It may be.

There was talk in court by Stoddard that another of Harris' sexting partners was also interviewed. Then there was also the talk about an affair that Leanna knew about. All it takes it to have sworn testimony from the female partner about the sex between she and Harris and then they have what they need for the adultery.

By the way, adultery is also an easy and quick way for Leanna to divorce him.

Yet she hasn't filed and he hasn't been charged. Maybe that will happen shortly. It's soon.

MOO

true and that's fine as long as they don't lie to put doubt into the jury's mind. i've been watching trials since old betty broderick and some lawyers lie like rugs, they're so crooked when they die they're going to have to be screwed into their graves.

They are not lying. If they are, they'd be disbarred.
They can and do weave other plausible explanations...
If their client admits guilt to their lawyer, then their hands are tied, they can no longer weave any false scenarios....that's often at the point where you see a lawyer change;)
the first lawyer ...is forbidden ti disclose the confession.

How they sleep at night, I'll never understand. It's an awful
Soul sucking job if ya ask me...but I would NOT enjoy proctology either as a career.

All IMO

Is sexting and sharing pornographic images of genitalia not adultery in this world anymore? Sexual relations can be formed electronically, as well.

Not legally. Morally, perhaps.

satan will ice skate in hell before rh gets on the stand. he's a coward and he'll never be able to keep his lies straight. his lawyer won't let him.

That's what I said about Jodi Arias, I was very wrong. Never underestimate the sheer arrogance of a narcissistic psychopath. IMO

Yeah, messed up, huh? For our purposes though, right now, consent isn't an issue.

What I'm wondering though is on Friday they said they had only identified and spoken with 2 (or was it 3?) of the six sexting partners. One had also hooked up with him in a park and one was 16 when they started sexting. So, what if some of the others are minors?....

2 as I recall. I think they were looking for the most "minorish" to have the back-up charges on hand. jmo

Even if he did desperately want a son (which is kind of sick, Imo...that the baby "must" be a son), that would not guarantee he would be satisfied with the one he had, if for some reason Cooper did not fulfill his years of fantasies about being "soccer dad". Though how one could tell before aged two is pretty bizarre. I am thinking more of the "terrible twos" and that R just did not like the part of a toddler maybe not always being easy and obedient and subservient...jmo. And that he blames the specific child in his mind, rather than the fact that this is more common than not. Jmo

I cheated...just skipped a few pages...don't tell anyone;)

It's probably an excuse he used so he wouldn't have to change dirty diapers...
"I couldn't smell it."
"You know I can't smell."

Man I wish his Facebook was still there. Pictures might answer some of our questions.
