Theresa Parker was on the minds of many last night, as friends and family gathered to raise more reward money to help find her.

The Fort Oglethorpe Methodist Church was filled with song and supporters. The Walker County 911 dispatcher has been missing for more than two and a half months. Another ground search for clues was conducted last weekend. Parker's family is still holding on to hope that she'll be found.

Here is a page to light a candle for Theresa to help light her way home. Please take time to visit. To post a candle to the group for Theresa, then put THERE in the group search (the 2nd box on this page) and it will take you to the page for all of Theresa's candles. Each candle that is lit will burn for 48 hours and then you have to start another one. You can also write a personal message to her. This is just a way to show you care and take a little time to think about her and hope she is found soon. You can also click on the link above it to send an email to people you know to tell them about the site.

Reward Money Grows For Missing 9-1-1 Dispatcher

It's been 11 weeks since anyone has seen the missing Walker County 9-1-1 dispatcher.

But Theresa Parker's family continues to raise money in hopes of encouraging someone to come forward.

Several events have boosted the reward to seven thousand dollars that includes 1000 offered by Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue.

I wish that creeply husband would get good and drunk and tell someone what he did with Theresa. Everyone knows that he murdered her. I just wish that she would be found.

A press conference has been called for Monday afternoon in connection with the case of missing 911 operator Teresa Parker.

Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson said it will be an update on the case and additional information on the reward that is being offered.

It will be at 2 p.m. at the sheriff's office in LaFayette.

Family and GBI are also to be at this presser.

Finally. Maybe we'll hear something more positive about this case being solved and most importantly Theresa being found.

A new website has been created in hopes of getting information about Theresa Parker. Parker has been missing almost three months. The Walker County, Georgia, 9-1-1 dispatcher disappeared March 21st.. Her family, friends and co-workers continue their quest to find her. The latest effort is via the internet at www.findtheresaparker.com.
The Walker County Sheriff's office plans to hold a news conference later today to update the public on the disappearance case.
The website shows a picture of Parker and her description along with a picture of her 19-99 Toyota Four-Runner.
You can also find a link on how you can donate money to her reward fund.

Presser about to start, does anyone know if it is available on the internet live and if so where? I don't have TV access so if anyone is watching it live, could I please request a summary? Thank you in advance!

I can't find anything on the internet yet, I'm sure we'll hear something soon. I hope there is something real to hear about besides the new website. They could just be grasping at anything to keep it in the spotlight. On the other hand...

Sheriff Wilson would not comment further on the investigation, at the request of the D-A, other than saying it continues to move ahead full steam.

Parker's two sisters were also at the press conference.

We will post the entire news conference for you as soon as we get it back in house this afternoon.

Looks like the video of the presser will be online soon. I think the sheriff's comment that the case "continues to move ahead full steam" is encouraging in that they are building a case.

Thanx Chico

Wow, I haven't posted here in a while. Didn't realize that Theresa's disapperance made the WS forum. Not sure, why I didn't think of this earlier. So, I am curious to read everyone's thoughts on this situation.

I acutally discovered the case made WS by following the link to the CourTV forum from the new website established by Theresa's family.

Additionally, I live in Floyd Co. GA. Our DA is the one assigned to the case. I lived 10 years in Chattooga County as well. So, this case is very close to home for me. I work for the media (although not in the newsroom), so I have been following things closely.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is asking for help in the Theresa Parker missing person investigation.

Property owners who want to help but are unable to complete a thorough search of their property because of age, illness or a disability should call the Tip line at (706) 639-2255 for assistance.

Still looking for:

Black Nextel flip phone

Large dark color shoulder bag, maroon or dark brown

Clothing, yellow blouse with mid length sleeves and white trim, blue jeans and brown leather sandals

Overnight bag

Thanks for that update, chicoliving. That is a smart move by the investigators. Ideally would have come much sooner, but at least it came.

That's the first I've heard what kind of cell phone was being looked for.
