YW! I just wish I'd run across the headline we all want...Theresa found! It just seems to keep going from bad to worse with what's come to light since she's been missing.

Have lots of painting to do in the living room but I needed to jump in and find out the latest. So, poor SP is despondent, depressed, having a blue day. Well, if he knows anything about Theresa, now is the time to get a big weight off his chest. Evidently from what everyone says, his inheritance from his father was considerable so working was not a necessity. But, being part of LE was a status symbol to him and puffed up his ego and self esteem.
He's lost his job, lost a possible pension, lost his plastic explosives (oh my!), lost his cruiser, probably lost his good friend Ben, and probably most of his LE colleagues are avoiding him like the plague. Being in a small town, his running to the store, post office, bank, gas station, etc. would be fodder for talk. His neighbors no doubt know his comings and goings better than even SP himself does. So, he's not welcome at the police station, nor at his in-laws, probably not at Ben's home, but surprise.....he's welcomed at the local mental health facility. Guess I'd be a bit depressed too! :boohoo:

Great post Wicket, giving us a little taste of what life might be like for him right now. I hope he has a miracle minute and decides to get it all off his chest. Soon!

I hope the depression will make him confess (assuming he did it).

If someone is really setting him up, they are doing a damn good job, and it is getting easier for them.

I wish they could find her!!!

I'm starting to get concerned about him "not being able to assist in his defense" if he's charged in her disappearance/murder. The mentally incompetent defense. I know I'm way ahead of the game on that, LOL...but I'm getting awfully cynical about his actions in this.

It is somewhat interesting that we know he's hired a lawyer now, but we haven't really heard much from the atty, have we? For example, after his incident the other night. Quiet. Nor, has the atty come out and pleaded for anyone with info about Theresa's disappearance. Or, have I missed any statements from the atty?

I don't think you've missed a thing! Nada from anyone basically.

Someone posting on the blog that there was some searching in the "ridgeway area" Friday. Anyone local know anything about this or should we take it with a grain of salt?? Oh, and what is the ridgeway area??

I think ole Sam is getting his defense ready. Since Theresa disappeared he has been in a mental health facility twice. I believe that he also was in one some years ago. He has to know that he is going to be tried for her murder eventially. No one else had a motive to murder her. There had been problems with domestic violence before and she was divorcing him....moving out of their home when he killed her. I think his threatening to kill himself was just part of his defense.

In the case of missing 911 dispatcher Theresa Parker, investigators searched a 100-acre grid Friday, April 13, in the Ridgeway area south of LaFayette, Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson said.

The sheriff said that a crew of 10 investigators from his department, the Georgia State Patrol and both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and FBI searched the area from mid-morning until about 4 p.m.
Wilson said that nothing of significance was found.

Sounds like they are still concentrating searching south of LaFayette and north of Summerville. They brought in out of state highly trained search dogs to search the area from a tip they received. Its so good to hear they are continuing searching and that the US Forest Service patrols are in a heightened state of awareness. All good to hear!

The reward would also be given to someone who provides for “the identification, apprehension and conviction” of anyone responsible for Parker’s disappearance.

“I’ll definitely match what the governor did,” said Jonathan Wilson, Theresa’s brother-in-law. “We’re also going to try and raise money from some local businesses, possibly knocking on some doors this week.”

Sheriff Wilson said he’s heard the suggestion of having a billboard posting on U.S. 27 of information on Theresa’s disappearance, and he mentioned the possibility of getting one of the advertising companies to sponsor that. “That may be something we could do to keep the case fresh in people’s minds.”

Thanks for the updates,
.....thinking of Theresa's family and friends

I'm also so very glad they're still searching for Theresa. As time goes by, though, when weather really warms up, people begin more hiking, kids get out of school, camping and swimming gets in swing - I hope no one just stumbles on a gravesite. As much as I would like to see closure for her family, it would be a horrible way to bring it about.

I understand what you mean....but....I hope someone does! Not so that they will be traumatized but because now its "by what ever means necessary" to bring her home. I'm really encouraged this am. Hopefully the reward will go up and possibly a billboard too!
