George's testimony at trial

I just read it and boy do I 110% agree with Vahill. We both have George's number. He hasn't changed, he doesn't know the truth and if he did, he would say whatever he needed to save hisself from future legal actions. I expect CA will do the same.

It's a game of self preservation for the Anthony's. Like Vahill said, GA will also be a witness for ICA and change his story. He'll swap those lies around again.

I have to agree CZ! While I was thrilled to see GA refute the Baez version Caylee's demise-I have to wonder what was George's motivation?:waitasec:
IMO-it was self-preservation on his part. Mind you - if it helps convict ICA I have no problem with it. However-George and Cindy have ALOT of baggage they can't easily undo. Call it KARMA or REAPING THE SEEDS YOU'VE SOWN -George and Cindy will have a hard time overcoming and rectifying the mis-truths, slanderous allegations of others and monumental poor judgement on their part. You just can't make the past go away when it's right there for eternity on video and in sworn statements. I think what they need to do-both of them, is to fall down and admit the ugly truth that they were in denial and hoping in the beginning that the worst wasn't true about ICA and Caylee. But, as time went on they DID make some bad decisions, perhaps out of "love" for their remaing daughter  and now have seen the horrible error of their actions. And let the chips fall where they may!
IMO There will be no healing for them or justice for Caylee till they do a huge MEA CULPA:truce: to all concerned. Do they have that in them-only time will tell-I hope so for Caylee's memory!:twocents:

So everyone thinks it's okay to smell decomp in one's car that has been out of one's hands, is in a towyard and you have missing persons in your family - girls - and not call the police?

:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

I'm speechless.

That wouldn't have been my reaction. I've always said the towyard would have had to call 911 on me because I would have been on the ground in hysterics.

The only thing I can figure is that they were scared to death that the thoughts in their head were true. IMO, in CA's 911 call, you can almost hear her brain clicking the pieces together when she finally cries out that the car smells like a dead body. I think that was the last honest moment for that family and after that it all became about saving Casey. Now, IMO, it's about GA and CA saving themselves. I wish it had been earlier when it was just about Caylee. GA and CA are now in a pickle, and as a result will go through what JB is puting them through. It hurts to watch.

I think there is a good chance that George's testimony is putting doubt in the juror's minds.
If ICA gets off with time served or shortly thereafter and goes home to live with her parents, I guess we will all know that they all conspired and/or covered up to get her off.

As JB keeps saying, "Something's just not right here."
(I certainly don't go along with Baez's theory, just those words)

Anyone who thinks that George is playing with the SA and the DT to get his daughter off is, imo, very mistaken. He doesn't have the smarts to play that game. He has deferred to CA and his princess all these years and would not let himself be the head of the household. He can't help himself that he can't answer a question. He has always kept quiet before, all this is jmo.

If he had stood up and insisted on what was right from the beginning, and he knew what was right, that his daughter caused this, he would not be in this position now.
I hope CA is happy with what she has created.

Honestly, I don't know WHAT to think anymore.
I DO think that KC killed Caylee, but I do wonder now if they didn't help her cover it up.
Why DID Roy Kronk go back to the same place over and over again?
Why did George and Cindy hire PI's to look for Caylee in the place she was found?
Did Baez give them that info to use to frame them later?

I have to say that since opening statements, my head has been spinning and I feel sick to my stomach over the possibility that she may just get away with this.

added:
Also, they ALL seem to have made money off of Caylee.
And when George and Cindy went to "help" with Haylee Cummings, they told Ron and I forget his girlfriend's name to "lawyer up." Why would they have said that if everyone was innocent?

Why have George and Cindy needed a lawyer from almost the beginning?

Oh do I agree with you too essies. Put that white flag away, forever. We have been here for long and lengthy discussions and sometimes a good laugh or two. We have disected each and every released doc and depo since July16, 08. I have never wavered off my fense sitting about who and how Caylee died or that ICA was involved in the coverup.

I said this on another thread and some didn't like it. However, since I am letting it all out, I should do it here in a more appropriate thread.

The only way I would believe Cynthia, George, Lee and Mallory is when and if they publicly acknowledge who murdered Caylee and face whatever legal consequences come to them. And before this trial ends and give the most important people a relief, the fine people of Florida who are footing the bills for this circus.

Caylee will see her Justice, with or without the Anthonys input.

Neither GA nor JB are smart enough to come up with and execute such a tactic, IMO.

Yeah but do you think wise ol' C. Mason is, JB might not but look at all the experts he has or had in his pocket

at the time G did not know his daughter was going to finger him, so he waqs trying to help her.

its not ok, but there you have it.

G. only began to tell the truth when jb and ica made him.

I thought the day they picked up the car was the day CA made the 911 call about something being wrong, found daughter's car and the smell ...........??

In anticipation of exactly what is happening to them right now!

Cindy did call 911 that day. The question is, if Simon Birch and George Anthony were so certain the smell in the car was the smell of human decomposition, then why did they not call the police right then and there, so as not to taint any evidence?

I think you are right. George is simply walking the fine line...he doesn't want to look guilty but just enough to present reasonable doubt to spare his daughter the murder charge. I think both G and C Anthony feel manslaughter is enough punishment for her with time served even if she did do it. They've spent Casey's entire life covering for her and bailing her out and going along.

I agree that George, Cindy and Jose have had this planned. They knew the bus was coming; they hired NEW counsel to defend them against the charges they knew would be leveled (I think Brad would have been onto this and not at all complicit) - notice they still will not just go back to their original attitude (well so far GA at least) and suspicions that were the more raw and fresh ones at the time and let Casey's team deal with the TRUTH - they are still trying not to throw her under the bus while allowing her to partially throw them under the bus. I think even Lee will play along. It is their way and they are not about to change now.

Maybe ICA has them all by the short you-know-whats if there was some incest; they have a guilty conscience, all of them, and that is what compels them to help Casey now? I don't know but Jose is winning in his attempt to totally confuse the jury. Hey, I'm confused and I know much more than the average juror.

ITA. I just hope the SA sees it. LDB looked ticked when JA 'rescued' the questioning of GA from JB this afternoon and someone thought she was angry at JA. At first I thought she might be angry at JB but now wondering if she (and JA) aren't beginning to realize that GA is playing them. What a tangled web we weave....

I think that they both suspected human decomposition and then the garbage bag confused them temporarily, or they second-guessed themselves since the truth was inconceivable...

I'll tell ya this,

the mind is a powerful thing.

when I see ICA glaring at her father on the stand, it really sends a feeling into my stomach that feels like revulsion. i feel like I am looking at something truly evil.

its all in my mind of course

but its there.

I agree. I think he is finally trying to do the right thing, but finding it difficult to get through all the tangled lies he and CA told to cover for ICA. Now that his own neck is in danger he has finally realized he'd better get straight. I am still undecided as to whether he has finally decided to man-up for Caylee or this is only happening because he is under attack.

Exactly. I may be in the minority but I am wondering now if this wasn't the DT and the Anthony's strategy all along. And boy it might just pay off for them (feel sick as I write this.) I heard the same things out of Cindy's mouth that I did out of Jose's mouth.

I was 99% sure this was 100% Casey. First day of trial, I was even more certain. Now, I am beginning to feel some doubt about George. It is a catch 22. Is he playing along with the defense to save Casey? OR is he simply trying to save his own reputation? At this point I am just not sure.

Make no mistake about it. I don't believe for a minute that George was implicated in Caylee's death or coverup. Casey is just straight up evil I am more sure of that than ever. But I am wondering if what we are seeing between George and Jose has been rehearsed over the past 3 years.

<Respectfully snipped>

.

BBM I don't know about that. But even if so, CM and some other members of the 'dream team' are. JMO

I think it's contempt. This case has been about contempt and loathing from day one. It's in her voice every time she speaks to them, unless she is trying to manipulate something out of them, and it's in the way she looks at them- or ignores them as she mostly does now.
