The only reason JC the journalist is interested is because he thinks there a story to be had.The question of funding came up when Jon Clarke interviewed HCW. Jon wrote about it in his book. HCW told Jon about how (in part) FF was being funded, but HCW asked Jon not to write about it.
If this is the case I am sure at some point the public will have more info. If it’s come from where I suspect it may have, then it’ll add to the inevitable negative scrutiny attached to some elements of the MM case as a whole. Jmo
Is it a defence challenge?Trial postponed, due to an unsuitable lay judge.
Fair enough, people like her doesn't fit sitting at the judges bench!
Agree. FF will likely play technicalities the whole way through. The only part I think he’ll really struggle with is fighting the evidence.Trial postponed, due to an unsuitable lay judge.

I think that’s the whole nature of journalism as a profession. The only reason JC the journalist is interested is because he thinks there a story to be had.

That doesn’t mean HCW didn’t mention that when he was interviewed by HCW.
Playing for time by FF isn't that kind of surprising to me!Agree. FF will likely play technicalities the whole way through. The only part I think he’ll really struggle with is fighting the evidence.

We only know of that which is public, I'd venture there is lots to emerge that's not known and will have far more of a bearing on proceedings.Agree. FF will likely play technicalities the whole way through. The only part I think he’ll really struggle with is fighting the evidence.
Same point applies.HCW replied to a question, JC likes his exclusives.

So then let the games begin on next friday! No big deal so far.
That’s a fair point MrJitty & it is right they find a new lay judge. FF has delayed the inevitable via the failed technicalities pre-trial. But the prosecution did deliver it to the courtroom. I agree with super dad that aside from arguing the evidence, this trial will be fraught with technicalities & very stop-start.I don't think they are playing for time. They just don't want a crazy person on the bench. It would be malpractice to allow that to slide
Who vetted the judge in the first place?Getting the lay judge removed for crazy SM posts isn't a technicality. This is the person who would literally help decide on a man's guilt or innocence.
Would you consider it prosecution failures if CB was found ng on any of the charges?Agree. FF will likely play technicalities the whole way through. The only part I think he’ll really struggle with is fighting the evidence.
Difficult hypothetical without the context of why not guilty verdicts may be. As admin have said before, not being found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt doesn’t mean innocent & that’s the worry for any prosecutor. Having evidence but not delivering a verdict would feel like justice wasn’t done & they’d failed in that regard.Would you consider it prosecution failures if CB was found ng on any of the charges?
Evidence can also be wrong, otherwise we wouldn't see cases of miscarriage of justice.Difficult hypothetical without the context of why not guilty verdicts may be.
