Interview here with Megan Waterman’s sister. She says Megan’s daughter was 3 when she disappeared so was too young to understand, but now she has to go through it. She is in high school now, doing well and living with a relative.

Pertel says she was shocked to learn the identity of her sister's suspected killer, adding it was especially upsetting to find out he was married with two kids of his own.

I'm really concerned about his web searches on children. Especially with torture involved. I really hope no children have been victims of his. I wouldn't be surprised if he had started sexually assaulting relatives or neighborhood kids when he was young. No one looks up that kind of stuff unless they're into that. I'm curious if there are any missing kids or unsolved child murders in that area.
 
I wonder if his selection of such tiny women was influenced by what his search terms show is a clear indication in young girls, specifically around 10 years old. I, too, was struck by the specific search for a young Asian male in light of one of the unidentified victims.

I think the odd look to his skin and face in some pictures is because he was clearly dyeing his hair at the time they were taken, which looks unnatural and washes him out.
 
The articles I've read report that a witness who saw RH's vehicle was the start of the case being solved. They had an eyewitness description of the vehicle, but how did they tie it to RH? DMV records for the make and model being owned in the area near Gilgo Beach?

I agree about the small stature of his victims :(

In every photo I've seen of RH... I assumed he was wearing a toupee.

The new team seemed to follow leads recently that were neglected by previous investigations.
They didn’t locate his car until 2022 despite an eye witness account at the time that Costello was picked up in a Chevrolet Avalanche and the fact that that car’s sales were very low (less than 300,000 total) in the US and only made for ten years making it somewhat easy to trace.

Gilgo Beach murders: Suspect identified as Rex Heuermann, charged in deaths of 3 women

Heuermann first came up as a suspect in the investigation in March 2022, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said Friday.
Heuermann was tracked through his car, a Chevrolet Avalanche, which was discovered in 2022. A witness to Costello's disappearance reported seeing a Chevrolet Avalanche, court records said.

Lol!! Really if you think about it, in the Document Pack there is video of him, purchasing minutes for his burner phone to hook up with escorts and look up the status of his own investigation! Hahaha!!!

Just wondering if they played a recording of Rex Heuermann's voice for Amanda Barthelemy. Yeah, it's early in the arrest, but seems like that'd be a logical thing to do, as well to thoroughly examine the burlap for more of his DNA.

One wonders if his wife took a lengthy vacation...say five weeks...to visit her family in Iceland in 2006.
