I'm more curious about other SWs who dated RH and their stories about him. He must have been with hundreds and hundreds of women over those years. But we've only heard from one. I'm curious what made him choose to torture and kill some, and choose to not kill others IMO.
Trying to remember what the SW that recently made public her story of a supposed encounter with RH said. I think she mentioned IIRC that RH (if it was him) wanted her to accompany him to some location. Was it his residence? I can’t recall. And perhaps what might have spared her she was reluctant to join him at a location of his choosing as he had made mention of a few odd or concerning things? In that case she had not agreed to join him?

If above is true, then it might also support that some things were occurring in the residence. And I wonder if the other members of the family were on vacation at the time her story of meeting RH recounts? MOO

Wondering about the long term effects on elementary kids 'getting the strap' in school in front of both boys and girls, then maybe going home to more of the same? speculation, imo.
“Yes, there was ‘WH’ or ‘HM’ on the belt. The last name is Heuermann. There are ancestors with WH, so assign to that what you will,” Tierney said.''

I have been considering all of this. there also seems to be a strong connection with heritage here. I know this conjecture may be controversial, but it seems his family moved into that house after it was built. many people who are first/second generation Americans of that era moved out of the city to places still surrounded by people of similar cultures. he moved from an area of queens that at the time had many German-americans to a neighborhood with a similar demographic. this is a very common thing in many cultures especially in the North East (ie it's normal to still call things an "insert country/culture here" neighborhood and not in any sort of derrogatory way) I'm almost positive he was raised Catholic or Lutheran, he has a love of outdoorsmanship activities (or as i call it, the overgrown, over enthusiastic know it all boy scout thing he has going on), fine attention to detail and a bit of a staunch personality that can be abrasive and condescending. I would not be surprised if his German American who left family was involved with the bund. or camp seigfried, even if it on the surface was for cultural appreciation reasons (ie German centric activities, food, dance, etc).

I have zero way of proving this, but I would not be surprised if it came out that he came from a long line of bigoted sadistic lunatics and the camp connection would make sense.

Stockholm Syndrome has been applied to abusive relationships, for Stockholm Syndrome to become "a thing," there needs to be a long-term, established relationship. Source: "People develop positive feelings toward their captors or abusers over time." I'd think of it like brainwashing. But he may have had some kind of longer-term relationship with some victim/s. But I wouldn't rule it out for AE, maybe he abused her. I'd find it difficult to believe he didn't, in light of what we're finding out about him. And his first wife was gone relatively quickly, and we don't know why. AE as "wife" was an important "cog" in his wheel. Maybe he was interested in making sure he'd know how to manipulate her.

and I'm curious how he met Asa exactly. Did it start as abusive and held her against her will? Then they fell in love. It's an odd but not impossible situation.
It's quite possible he targeted her and possibly stalked her. Was Asa a target and he changed his mind?

The evidence against RH is strong. His own attorney knows this. Michael J. Brown said. "New charges are always horrific and yeah, he's in a bad place due to the new charges." Ya think?!!

RH's attorney said that his client was surprised he was being charged with more killings. He must have really thought he had covered all his tracks and deletions.

I bet he was astonished to find out that the file he thought was long gone because he'd deleted it had been retrieved.

I still can't get over them finding that file in a deleted folder from 2000-2002 on a computer that likely had not been used in as many years, that had not been overwritten by new data!

That is incredible to me.

MOO.

JMO, but I would be surprised if love ever came into it. This is all my assumption, but I get the sense that Asa needed someone to help her support her son, and Rex needed cover. I would also be surprised if there was much interaction between them, or between Rex and the kids. I am guessing “work meetings” took a great deal of his time, and that may have been a relief for everyone else. JMO again.

I believe she recounted how she met him at a restaurant, and during conversation, he began asking her thoughts about the LISK case. When he started talking as if he knew more details than what was stated in the media, she got suspicious of him, as if he was re-living it instead of just commenting on it. He asked her to go back to his place in his vehicle and she declined. She contacted a friend to come pick her up or escort her out of there. I think she had her own vehicle there.
IMO.

I should have used quotes around love instead. It's possible it was a transactional marriage for a green card and never were a devoted loving couple.

I assume so. This says she attended Farmingdale HS.

I couldn't find any info about that, the only reason that I'm curious is to see if RH picked someone who would travel extensively every summer so he had time to prep/plan his sadistic killings.

Maybe because he kept adding new devices and would "decommission" them before they were accessed in error by someone else?
