Wilmot . . . I want you to finishyour answers in the C's and D's
the C's what are the criteria in C that apply to JA
objection - he is referring to something else
I am referring to my worksheet
ok can we have it?
entered
something you have prepared?
I reviewed this and realized I left out numbers and letters and left out those that met C and D
C - efforts to avoid thoughts about the trauma . . . she avoided
C3 in ability to recall aspects of trauma - memory lapse
c5 - feelings of detachment or estrangement from others - I included attachmentrestraint mentioned early on in the process
c6 - restricted range of affect - blunted affect
7 - sense of forshortened future - when she was feeling like shewanted to harm herself - that is less than a function for today.
c1, 3, 6, 7, necessary criteria is 3
noticed an error would you have mentioned errorsooner
oh yes
D required 2 of 5
irritable or outbursts of anger - anger expressed telephonically with her mother
D3 - inability concentration
D4 - hypervigilience - responded to noise in jail facility
she reported not able sleep with noise - not related to nightmares
need 2 and I found 3
A1 and A2
yes both were met
experienced or confronted with actual events . . . . killing TA . . .
could it also be TA attacking her first
objection not in evidence
it could be but the killing was so much more intense that it superceded
intense fear, helplessness, harm . . . .based upon crime scene photo - threat to her life that the attack eventually caused I felt she met the criteria
the intense fear, and terrified?
yes
B3 - how many criteria . . . I found 3 criteria only need one
recurrent and distressing recollection of events - intrusive thoughts - not where she can't remember -she remembers beginning and end of the attack
psychological distress to internal and external cues
replacement reality (ie: the story) her way to deal with the stress
physicalogical acitivity reaction to internal stimuli . . . .
these are from his notes - what makes JA fall within PTSD profile
all the criteria . . .if person have more criteria doesn't make it worse PTSD just more criteria .. . not trying to make JA sound worse with more criteria? no
lets stay on this for a second . . . DSM 4 - published in 2000 .. . they go and publish about 10 years . . . the DSM 5 is overdue . . . there are beta versions on the internet . . . we don't use it until it is published .
DSM 4 TR - text revision - some text sub are rewritten to make it more clear - it is essentially identical . . . I think there may have been one or two adjustments but not relative to this case
nothing wrong to use DSM4 - I have small version of DSMTR - that I travel with . . . does have the criteria in here and are virtually identical to DSM 4
exhibit #456 - wasn't entered . .
you were showed this portion . . . nothing noteworthy to report that was 2 days after the pediphelia behavior
objection . . . .
next question
exhibit #511 - entered by the defense
has the same first paragraph but it also goes on
you were asked to read when she talks about TA having . . . TA cheating on her . . . yes
at the very end ofthis exhibit TA cheating on her he seems mildly remorseful - going to stop writing about this right now it is of no benefit . . I could rip out the last few pages
besides reviewing all of her journal entry - questions about Ms. Arias . . . . journal entry not going to stand for TA saying negative things about he friends. . . I was glad she was able to write that . . . .Sunday 07 . . . . TA staying @ rachels . . . she won't stand for anyone else saying negative
she wrote something that is mildly assertive but that does not transfer o assertive behavior there is a big gap between what people do and what they say . . .assertive training is first envisioning the assertive behavior and second is actually acting it out
her tell you something bout her confronting back when he yelled @ her ..he checked it real quick and she never tried it again - he had to have power and control.
ok . . . . um
