That is the name used to contact me about funding the murt mobile. Will pm you that email to edit and post as allowed by TOS!

Please check your PMs. I have previewed your email and it is fine to post here.

Question however....

I also reviewed a link to a doc you provided in post earlier to a 2009 IRS Form 900 filing for BKH in which Tim Segura notes twice on document that organization was currently being set up in 2009?

So what do y'all think... that this memorial will never be built, and people will pay for bricks that they will never see? I agree about the swamp thing. You can't build on swamp land.

And plus, can you just imagine the sheer amount of lightning strikes?

Yes, no, I think this, ahem, Memorial, will be a testament to all other things Anthony: something only THEY somehow can see. And are in the know about.

~goes to send in more Dollar Store play money~ :great:

Not to stick my nose in, lol, but I believe that's over at Guidestar.org

Check under item #27 and at the bottom of the form.

It could be that, if the founder started an org it was started either under a different name or didn't become a non-profit---or, this non-profit until 2009? I'm guessing here.

I think you can build on swamp land but that 1/2 acre piece of property abuts land owned by the county so they would have to fill in all that area and I doubt the county will agree to do so with their portion of the land. In the end it will still be swamp land anyway you look at it.

We don't live there but I'm sure those who do must realize that this will affect the lives of generations of children who go through this particular school system if they were to build it. That said this charity is listed financially as having $50,000 or less. Quite a venture for someone who has no money and lives in the continential US as far as one could possibly live to try and jump start this project. Something like this is usually started through community interest and participation. Given the amount of scams out there regarding the selling of "bricks" with your name on them it more than raises the question "Is this for real?" This whole case has been centered around lies and deceit so everyone has the right to examine this project to decide whether or not it is more of the same.

Now here is something for homeowners in the area to think about whether you agree with this project or not. When you go to put your home up for sale what do you think the repercussions will be for a young family to NOT want to buy your home because they don't want their child to be reminded of what happened on that property everyday while they ride to school. jmo

IKR? and isn't that one of the oldest sayings about being gullible? "I've got some swamp land I'll sell ya..."

+respectfully snipped and bbm+

Excellent point. It's hardly something you'd be including in the property description in the realtor's window is it?
-three bedroom.
-double garage.
-close to schools and a crime scene

Trying to get a full understanding. So BKR launched after Caylee died, and BKR has done no work to date except launching this brick campaign/memorial site, and their story on the website regarding the boxer who founded the organization appears to be a bunch of bull, and papers were just submitted to the Florida Secretary of State to launch a chapter in Florida with that guy who's email is for the gelatto company? If someone could list the facts as we know them, I'd appreciate. :peace:

And how does this Segura guy fit in?

A few more questions, from this WFTV story:

http://www.wftv.com/news/28812244/detail.html

Who is the director? I notice neither WFTV nor WESH name anyone with BKH in their stories.

Has anyone seen the contract BKH on the land?

From the BKH website:

"Volunteers are responsible for different regions of the country. There are no titles at Bring Kids Home, only Volunteers. The goal of this unique structure was not to highlight any one individual volunteer but rather recognize the entire volunteer collective team. There is no "i" in Team."

Wow. This is incredibly hinky. I can't find where ANYONE is named on the website.

my bolding. there is no "i" in Anthony either but there is one in Cindy

:back: I'm trying to backtrack and read all media accounts of the memorial plan unveiling. It doesn't appear any representative from BKH was in attendance at the unveiling. From this Orlando Sentinel article, an artist named Jefre was on hand, who designed it. I'd love to know who from BKH has been working with him.

Also, I'm not sure if the Anthonys know much about the planned memorial. This article doesn't say they're working with anyone from BKH, just that they support the idea.

It's too bad every person or group wanting to donate funds to this project will not do the level of research that has been done here at WS, prior to writing that check. Not all such organizations are hinky but there are many that are, and most rake in lots of money before anyone gets seriously suspicious.

I would like to see no $$ coming in for this project until the landlord speaks out in support of it and all residents of the Suburban Drive area speak out in support. Unfortunately many people won't wait for that and will just send in their hard-earned cash. A fool and his money, and all that.

Well, yes and no (bolded bit). You can't build on it as is, of course, but if you use enough fill dirt to raise it up enough to eliminate flooding, you can then build on it. But using fill dirt above certain levels raises the real possibility (probably even likelihood) that you'd kill many of the surrounding trees indigenous to FL. Southern/yellow pines, Live Oaks, etc. do not like dirt piled up too high around their trunks and they show it by dying fairly rapidly (e.g., Live Oaks....quite revered in FL...can't even tolerate more than a few inches of fill dirt at the base of their trunks). Another thing to think about is how sandy the soil is in that particular area. I have no clue about that, but I do live in FL and know that much of the State's soil is quite sandy, even inland as Orlando is. The point is, the land can be filled, but not without risk to the surrounding wooded growth, and it must remain sandy enough to allow drainage but no so sandy that it can't be built on.

Oh, and I don't know if there are any municipal tree laws in that area, but there are in our area, and we can't take down ANY Live Oaks and many other types of trees without permission from the city, and that is VERY hard to get.

And the whole zoning issue (i.e., building a non-residential structure in a residential area)........that's going to be a very tough hurdle to overcome in the first place.

I just don't see this happening.

And this doesn't even touch the political 'explosives' associated with putting the memorial so near an elementary school in the first place. Nope, I just don't see it happening. Okay by me. :D

This would be their very last and most difficult hurdle. There is no way that the Chickasaw Homeowners Association would go along with this cockamamie idea. But before they could even attempt that they would have to jump through so many hoops with the State, County and City that this project would be put on hold for years and years.
These people are living in a dreamland, they don't even own the land and they are presenting to the public like it's a done deal.
