The location of that house is seen on the Google maps. It is the next lot to the subject property.

I don't have my arrows exactly perfect in the image, but I uploaded it to show the neighbors that were interviewed are no where near Walnut Creek Park.

Note the difference in both video and written reports.

http://wtvr.com/2014/10/18/searcher...says-god-wanted-them-to-find-what-they-found/

At the end of the article is this note:

[Editor's note: A previous version of this story contained information from law enforcement that was later removed at the request of investigators in this case.]

Based on my recollection, the original article (I didn't watch the video) had the information regarding the condition of the remains and the tight dark pants. I think that is what has been removed. So much for my well-choreographed theory I stated a few posts ago.

Yes, that's just what I said. The address is Walnut Creek Park. I believe you have previously referred to it as Walnut Creek Road. I don't believe there is a Walnut Creek Road. There is a Walnut Creek Lane. But I disagree that this area is not part and parcel of Walnut Creek Park. it certainly appears to be. Why would the Park's maintenance shed be located on property that is not part of the park?

The road is called Walnut Creek Park, per the maps.

So the building on the 106 acre property is the park maintenance office? Thanks. I didn't realize that. It has a boundary around 106 acres that is separate from the park, so I assumed that it was a separate property.

He smokes, but it appears that he puts his butts in the car ashtray if I go by the pics of his sister's car interior on the way to Texas.

But just maybe he smoked one on the property somewhere.

DNA, just maybe!

You're very welcome. The equipment shed (maintenance bldg) and gate house were improvements built in 2004.

With the maps of the area that's been posted, (thanks to you all), I came upon this one from Panoramio which shows a lot going on in those woods around the park and showing different places in which one could access those areas. Here's the link.

http://www.panoramio.com/map/#lt=37.922504&ln=-78.595381&z=2&k=2&a=1&tab=1&pl=all

My apologies if it's already been provided.

**If you click the box to show photos not included in Google Earth you will see different creek and trail areas as well.**

Sorry to take so long in answering: Go to MVAH FB page at the top between the facebook "F" logo and your persoanal icon there is the search bar with the page name MVAH. Put your cursor in the white rectangle and click on the name bar. A drop down menu will appear. Then choose "People who like this page" there are only 6 likes (earlier today there were 5)
You can also choose "Friends of people who like MVAH". I just found a very curious connection beyond the massage connection. A family member of one of the missing girls is friends to one of the 6 members who liked the MVAH FB page. It is not a family member who liked the page but a friend of the mother of one of the missing girls.

Should this loose link to the family member of one of the missing girls and that property be reported to the Tip line?
I'm not sure. I looked at the FB page when it was FIRST published this morning, and it.just had ONE like. It wpuld be my.guess that the five others liked the page after it was published, also.

Teams of investigators with more than 20 vehicles have been parked along old Lynchburg road where investigators found human remains behind an abandoned property.

No mention of Walnut Creek Park for where they found the remains.

Think its time to give up on the Walnut Creek Park remains found location idea.

From what I recall, the condition of the remains, I believe he said no tissue or hair, just skeleton, the length of the spine indicating a tall person, the tight dark pants. I'm sure there are posts in the prior thread describing more of what he said. But I do know the video interview was heavily edited.

This a tremendous post and spot on when it comes to possible contact w/ someone who intends to do you harm. Without going to far off topic w/ Hannah, I thought I'd add a little to this highly informative post.

As I always do, I'll quickly preface this w/ my background. 17 yrs LE w/ last few years as a Major Crimes Det. in one of the largest cities in the country (US). Throughout my career, I've been a certified expert and/or instructor in countless disciplines. Pertaining to this post specifically: firearms, OC/chemical munitions, baton, defensive tactics, non-violent crisis intervention, to name a few. I've also been involved in Martial Arts, Powerlifting, and teaching "self-defense" longer than I've been on the job. I weigh 235lbs w/ 10-12% body fat.

Why did I feel the need to explain all this ? I practice what I preach. ESCAPE ROUTE. Carrying a firearm, pepper spray, trained in any type of the arts, can and will help you. But, this usually is going to require very rare and certain circumstance. Mostly meaning - you need to be prepared at that very moment to be able to apply any of their usages while YOU are in control. Again, always an exception to a rule.

Margarita couldn't have said it any better. It's not always reasonable to travel in pairs/groups. However, even this practice isn't always a deterrent. (Particularly when the offender is under the influence, desperate for money/valuables, has mental health issues). Scan, look at what's ahead and BEYOND. Left to right, behind, etc. I teach people to treat walking in public like they're driving a vehicle. Be aware. Watch for others. Keep eye in rear view. ALWAYS HAVE AN ESCAPE ROUTE. When you stop your vehicle behind another, leave enough distance that you see that persons' rear tires. That's enough distance to "escape". Always back into parking spots. There's much more I can go on about (interview stance, talk w/ your hands, etc.), but again, didn't want to steer too of topic and mostly wanted to commend, and recommend really absorbing the excellent post by margarita.

Wow, thanks J Block! I love that you have added "ALWAYS HAVE AN ESCAPE ROUTE". This advice is invaluable and something I did not think of to mention. I will definitely be thinking about this in the future. Thank you!!

With regard to the search area discussion that has been going on, I think they will search an area large enough to determine if any remains or other items have been dragged away by animals or otherwise moved, washed away, blown away, etc. I think that is at least one reason to expand a search area beyond the immediate vicinity of the remains.

This is where I'm confused. Police activity is in one location NW of the park, but Coy's claimed location is a couple of miles away West of the park.

I've drawn in a bike trail that runs behind the maintenance building. Also note that the trail runs on a hill top behind the maintenance shed (yellow square). There is no dry creekbed in that area. The nearest creek is about half a mile away. That trail gets a lot of traffic. There is no dry creek bed there; the nearest creek is several hundred yards away, and I don't recall ever seeing it totally dry. I doubt it would be now since we've had a lot of rain here late in the last week. That little grassy field by the maintenance shed might just be a convenient parking area. Old Lynchburg is a narrow road often without shoulders - I know because I cycle on it frequently; there wouldn't be much room for parking large vehicles and trailers.

Someone asked earlier what the creek beds are like. Generally, they are fairly muddy and may have exposed hard clay. The bottoms usually have some sand and gravel and a few large rocks. They usually aren't the pretty river rock and washed pebble mountain streams you see in the steeper terrain of the mountains.

thanks so much. I am always so glad when we have locals who can give us firsthand, boots on the ground perspectives of the geography and populace of an area. I am very visual. It helps when people such as yourself can paint the picture of the area for me.

I don't think its Hannah. Alexis was 5' 7"and wearing black and white leggings.

Welcome Tinks!

:greetings:

I am unsure whether this is really Hannah or not too.

I have seen nothing from the searcher (sgt) who spoke about finding the remains or from LE regarding whether the black pants found with remains were actually on the remains or nearby. Here is a video interview with the officer who found remains. My thanks to him and his team along with thanks to all officials and volunteers who worked so hard to bring Hannah home.

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. — The remains were behind a vacant home, in a dried-up creek bed — a skull and bones, along with a pair of tight, dark-colored pants.

SNIP

Terry said the vertebrae bone appeared long and consistent with a tall person’s body. He said the body was not buried and its location was not far from the road.

Except that I think if they were ON her, they could be referred to as "tight". If they were NEAR her, they would be referred to as "small". Silly of me to nit-pick but...jmo

Per the maps, Walnut Branch Creek appears to be a dry creekbed.

Most people wouldnt.

Most of this likely occurred between 2am and sunrise. A time when every day, honest, law abiding citizens are usually fast asleep.

Even people who live in rural areas arent usually awakened by the sound of a car passing by.

I live in a normally very safe neighborhood, but a few months ago we all learned the cops had been chasing car thieves through our streets and yards one night around midnight. I heard nothing and it was near my particular home.
