It is possible that it is the skull sticker that fell onto a piece of card board. But also possible that the sticker on the cardboard was on the cardboard all along. I like the second explanation. For one thing, a sticker that falls off something is unlikely to "attach" to cxarboard, especially if dirty/ wet or whatever.

True. But it could have been as attached to this cardboard piece as the other sticker backing was to the Plesea envelope (from that other picture--in other words, not very attached!). We don't know if it is firmly stuck (and had been there since its original placement) or if it fell there and the heat dried it on...

Okay, this is how I heard it on local news:

They found Caylee's skull with duct tape still attached. Criminalists in the lab (I'm assuming under microscope or whatnot) noticed the duct tape had a heart-shaped formation of sticky residue. They then collected a heart that was also at the crime scene that seemed to be the "match". The heart had FALLEN OFF the duct tape (and likely fallen onto the cardboard mat). I could be wrong but this is how I understand the situation.

GRATS to whoever found the exact heart sticker brand. That is an exact match to my untrained eye! What does the backing of that heart sticker look like?

It was marellano. And the backing is just plain white. marellano posted a picture of the entire sheet of stickers somewhere...definitely not a match to any of the sticker sheets that LE photographed (at least no match in the photos released by the news outlets).

The scrap book photos and all the heart crap in Cma's room are huge for me. The monster was obsessed with hearts as well as having all the other mental problems! A heart anywhere is like her signature, or fingerprint in blood, or retina scan!!
Quite prophetic really!
CMA had no Heart whatsoever.

Many of the items seized and/or photographed have nothing to do with the crime, and I understand that! [I think the puffy heart does but that is neither here nor there.]

I am GUESSING that law enforcement does not delete photos when they realize the photos are not pertinent. Why? Well, because the defense would then squeal to high heavens that something substantial had been erased/covered up.

Hence, we are seeing everything and the kitchen sink!

Exactly! LE does not get to decide what is relevant and then just release that selected information to the defense (and, in Fla., to the public). I happen to think chances are good of the puffy sticker being relevant also, but we should keep in mind that it might be some other person's trash.

Someone mentioned here that the puffy sticker was found quite far away from the remains. Can we get a link to that info?

I would be good if someone at WS has current acesss, but in this case you would also need a time machine. I am refering to what was around before June 20th 2008.

I really think marellano has found the exact puffy sticker--Stickopotamus brand. I put the one found at the scene and the one marellano found next to each other for comparison:

Keep in mind the one at the scene was probably under water and exposed to the elements for months.

Looks like an exact match to me...complete with the rainbow stripes..going from light pink, and getting darker until its red on the right.

Perhaps on a scrap book page lying in Caylee's room, or on the corner of a photo on the wall?
