I don’t disagree with you on the level as a mom and a citizen, but consider this hypothetical from a legal perspective:

From the night the baby was rescued, they hand the baby to SC. DNA results come back, and the baby is not Margo. Heidi’s body, of course, was still found at MF’s. MF’s lawyer’s argue the police wrongfully charged her with kidnapping Margo and Heidi and the investigation was biased into believing a false motive from the beginning. They also argue it isn’t capital murder because, hell, if they were wrong about Margo’s kidnapping, maybe Heidi wasn’t kidnapped either!

A hyperbolic example maybe, but the fact stands that this is a critical part of the case and everything must be done to the letter.

Tysm and I completely understand! I was thinking as a mom, thinking how Heidi might have baby M under the tree, dressed in a festive outfit for photos, etc., and how sad it will be if baby M can’t be with her bio family for Xmas.

Is the baby in the control of CPS in Houston or Austin? The reason I ask is because maybe they are going over and above board to make sure their ducks are in a row. They haven't been doing too well lately as in the case of Maleah (Houston), and other cases in other states. I'm not saying I agree because I definitely believe Shane is the father and we most certainly know Heidi is the mother. She should be returned to her family.

I just looked at some of the articles, they all just say Texas CPS or CPS. Because she was found in Houston... makes sense it would be Houston, but I can't find an article that states that for sure.

Which is exactly why I don't believe any meds/drugs of any kind pushed her into this. She sure kept up the bestie pretense with friends, Tim Miller etc. Nobody has reported any kind of suspicious, erratic behaviour or conversation following Heidi's disappearance. IMO

I totally agree. And I bet - especially with all the attention and pressure - they're fast-tracking all this the best they can. I would not be surprised in the least if the hearing was today. Family courts do the very best they can and knowing them as well as I do, I know Baby Margo is weighing heavily on their hearts and minds.

I don’t have an issue with CPS keeping the baby in care until things are settled as much as why a DNA test in a case like this would take so many days...we have seen it done in 24 hrs before and this case would certainly constitute an emergency, imo...

I totally agree. And I bet - especially with all the attention and pressure - they're fast-tracking all this the best they can. I would not be surprised in the least if the hearing was today. Family courts do the very best they can and knowing them as well as I do, I know Baby Margo is weighing heavily on their hearts and minds.

Of course you’re right, you are the expert, thankfully! Do you think there will be an emergency arraignment for MF once the dna results are in? Could additional charges be added on immediately, clustered together for arraignment or would that be unjust? Tysm

Drugs, if what Jake said was true and she still takes them, can deteriorate someone's appearance quickly. Who knows what, if anything, she may have been doing at the time she took Margo. There's so much bad stuff on the street.

Early warning signs before psychosis

• A worrisome drop in grades or job performance.
• Trouble thinking clearly or concentrating.
• Suspiciousness or uneasiness with others.
• A decline in self-care or personal hygiene.
• Spending a lot more time alone than usual.
• Strong, inappropriate emotions or having no feelings at all.

Drugs can cause psychosis (which may be what happened here)

In the last thread, @vlpate said there was reminders of the "Don't f ** k with Cats" miniseries on Netflix to this case. I signed up just last night to see the three episodes that were 3 hours long and binged watched.

I see what vlpate was speaking to. The person had planned it out much before to try to get an insanity plea perhaps, all the while being sly in planning an excuse if caught.

My thoughts were Houston, just because of how quickly the reports that she was in a foster home came out, but I don't believe anyone has said.

Interesting... I think I just found something to watch while I'm baking/cleaning today, I had to check to see if it's on my Canadian Netflix, and it is!

It's legal, so I read and substitute the word "confirmed" as it should be done (as one who is following the case of another stolen baby that was returned to the wrong parents from over 50 years on this thread)

They're going to take their time and be as careful as they can before adding the murder charge. If it is true that they're waiting on the DNA, the prosecutor will have that before the indictment. I wouldn't be surprised if that was after the holidays.

While Broussard’s friend, Vi**ie Sh****s, tells PEOPLE that when she last saw her, Fieramusca told her she was pregnant and due to deliver her baby within a week. Shreves says that, to her, Fieramusca did not seem like someone who was about to give birth.

The article doesn't say why VS thought MF did not seem like someone who was about to give birth? Wish they would have expounded on that statement!

Interesting on the motivation "to preserve a relationship". CG's Mom told the media that her son was trying to get MF out of his house, but she told him she was pregnant, so he let her stay. It would appear CG no longer wanted to be in a relationship, so the expert is correct. MF was desperate to keep CG, she invented a fake pregnancy to keep him.

Frequently by now we have people who know/knew the killer coming out of the wood work to talk. There have been a few close friends of Heidi's who have commented, but primarily because of the J for Justice podcast. Oh and MF's attorney in the theft case. Who else knew this woman? Was her circle that small? Guess when your life is basically a lie, you don't let many folks in. What a contrast to Heidi! She was loved by so many. This is a betrayal I still haven't wrapped my head around.

I feel so bad for baby Margo not being able to go home to her mother but I also feel it's so important to find out the truth about her father. She shouldn't be rushed to SC if there's any question of paternity. None of us should assume we know the truth about that at this point. The truth will come out and she will be placed where she rightfully belongs.

I didn’t know CG’s mom spoke about him trying to oust MF but I have suspected all along MF was allowed to linger due to her pregnancy.
The articles I read quoted the mom as saying MF was a tenant. A non paying tenant.

I don't know if I can find the link, but a reporter reached out to that business and they were told she had worked there, but not recently. I would say her most recent job was the Ace Cash Express assistant manager position. I don't think she worked after that, because she became "pregnant".
