I'm curious why "A study" FB page is interested in pictures of SC drinking?

Apparently she cant be that horrified since she made the point to return to Maui and is posting rather happy and carefree comments on her FB. I'm sure the authorities would want to talk with her because of her close association with SC.

Your assessment of SC's motive to be free of commitment and continue his womanizing sounds correct.

Hmmm! I wonder if the car was actually stolen and ripped for parts and then burnt! Hoping these people can lead police to where the car may have been stem from!!!! moo

There are a bunch of Capobiancos back home in Orvieto, Italy. Most of them are amazing, the rest, not so much. I think Steven's italian heritage is a bit diluted and it's not fair to classify him as a criminal based on his surname. Btw, not all italians are mobsters! ;)

From the pictures of the burnt out truck, it looks as though the doors and tires were removed prior to burning. The pictures don't show the front of the vehicle. My theory is that the vehicle was deliberately abandoned so that it could be stripped and possibly burned, and that there was no incriminating evidence in the vehicle. MOO.

Sunday evening

8:30 Charli (Carly) picked up Steven (ex bf) then I think she says "at home".
9:30 They got to where Steven's truck was mile marker 20.
10:30 At Haiku, Steven lost sight of Charli's headlights.

11:00 Charli's phone pinged from Keanae Peninsula.

Again, this creates a glaring hole in the story of SC that needs to be investigated
 
Unfortunately Charli had an app that erased all but her last ping automatically. So we can't tell if She picked up Steven at 830 and got to Keanae within the hour which would substantiate more so his story. Instead at the last ping we don't know if it was coming or going or coming, going and returning once more. All possible in that time frame. It's up to MPD to request a Cell Tower Dump to retrieve all pings that night from all numbers. Invasion of privacy?

I can only imagine the horror of committing murder upon fellow man. An experience to terrorize one forever.
 
Again, I am not an expert in cell phone technology, but I can confirm this w/ my IT crew @ work on Monday. GPS uses satellites (apps, point-to-point directions). All cell phones use cell towers for calls and texts. If I am not mistaken, the phone will ping off the cell towers independently of the GPS. All cell phones make use of the towers. Only smart phones have GPS added on. GPS is highly accurate. Towers are less accurate but a specialist can determine which tower the phone was pinging. The towers will tell the tale regardless of the GPS. The GPS will pinpoint the phone's last active location.
 
And while we are waiting for MPD to put down the malasadas and request the cell tower dump, it might be possible to use another phone to sleuth. You would need a phone of the same model as Charli's and using the same carrier for best results - same carrier is more important than same model. Take a drive from Haiku to Hana and see if you can get the info for your own phone.

I think the horror and terror rightly belong to Charli........especially if the murder was premeditated, which it appears to me to have been. :moo:
