Also, the Ilikai is an apartment hotel as well... as I was looking at some listed during my stay. But then again, hotel apartments are a dime a dozen in Honolulu.

This is what I was thinking regarding them having a room (apt) to take the client to.
Now it gets into wording..."meeting" the client there or "taking" the client there. A prearranged meeting through Backstage (never found out if her ad was for Portland or Honolulu) or getting a client from the street and taking them to the apt. Or going to the client's apt. I'm fairly certain her friends would have the apt information if it belonged to the client.....for safety reasons.

This "girls' night out" has definitely changed but I think we all knew that. I notice the bf is laying low. He also appears to be staying off social media. Interviews are with her friend, JG, and she was who the police notified. I still wonder if the local pimps were not happy with him coming to town and taking business away from them.

A nice reminder to focus on her and not what she did for a living. For me, though, I can help but keep tripping over this elephant in the room that is her so-called boyfriend blatantly, in-your-facedly, advertising women for prostitution all over Facebook and social media with impunity. Why doesn't the media quote him by his pimp name? Meezilini. I'm sorry, I don't see him as a victim. He is complicit because he was making money off of her selling her body. This is human trafficking. However she died, she died while Mark Miles aka Meezilini was trafficking her and countless other women.

Ditto! I know how you feel as I feel the same way. It just angers me as "Sleezilini" has the nerve to lie to the face of the public through the media, acting like nothing was wrong with her lifestyle and the repercussions it caused. In a way, it also angers me that her family did the same thing... presenting her from the beginning as a student with no mention of her being a prostitute. All parties involved acted liked she was going to be found alive and her lifestyle could be swept under the rug, trying to pull the wool over the public's eyes... when in fact it was the public who caught on to something amiss from the start.
 
I just logged into my online tip follow-up for Honolulu Crime Stoppers and received a notification dated yesterday stating that they will be forwarding my tip regarding the Ilikai to the detectives.

At this point, anything is possible.
 
It's really sad that her family is having to raise money for expenses. Where is Mr. MoneyBags's money now?

Yeah... many other people are asking and commenting about this on a lot of the online news articles about the case. Maybe pimps feel they don't have to shed a dime on one of their girls... even when they show up dead. Sad.

That's over on the Big Island, so probably not related. I hope they're found, sounds suspicious for sure. Kodiak you may want to start a separate thread so we can follow their story.
