How to get yourself & a child out of the school and into a vehicle?

Difficult to think like a child predator and IMO that's what is needed for this puzzle. So, the first thoughts coming to mind are:

1. Isolate
2. Silence
3. Remove
Not knowing the school layout, this will take some thought. See you all later!

What's likely is that people saw something relative to Kyron, or to Terri, or Kyron and Terri together, or possibly the truck ... - BUT, they didn't think it was important or out of the ordinary. Whatever they saw did not register.

Hustle, bustle, but pretty ordinary science fair day ...

LE's making it pretty clear that it's important that they try very hard to remember.

Two weeks later, how valid is any recollection, really?

These questions needed to be asked 1st weekend. I would think they were, given the FBI team in place.

This flyer thing is all very strange, at least it is looking at it from the outside here.

My thoughts EXACTLY, Emma.

I would create a diversion of some type, like a car alarm, to attract attention away from where I was going.

The question this raises in my mind, though, is if she resented Kyron so much, why would she go out of her way to help him with his science project and why would she volunteer her time to help out in his classroom?

Hi,
I remember reading in a news report that it was actually Kyron's father who helped him with the science project. No biggie. When parents do harm their children I can NEVER see a motive ; it's always so foreign to me,KWIM ?

I've been thinking of this one I'll call "The Seinfeld Theory."

Did you ever see that episode where George is either fired or quits his job - then he realizes he's screwed up - so he just goes back to work the next day like nothing ever happened. He thinks it will just throw everyone for a loop - they won't realize that it was serious or something - and things will just go on like normal.

Could she have really legitimately taken up Kyron for some reason, without a real plan - but then something happened - and she freaked out and came up with this George Costanza plan - and by chance it has somewhat worked?

The teacher and school are scratching their heads like George's colleagues - thinking "I could have sworn he left with his mom..."

Hope that makes sense.

This is what I think happened too, not a planned event at all. She did have a reason, like the dr appt for him to be leaving and then something happened. It was just a coincidence that they did not leave the building together, either Kyron went out before her or after her but this gave her the opportunitary later to change up her story.

The only reason I can think of as to why she didn't report something happening to Kyron was because whatever it was something that could have been considered child abuse. She was afraid to report it for fear that child services would then take the baby away from them.

At this point I think her husband knows and may have even helped get rid of the body but for the same reason, so they would not lose custody of the baby.

I don't think it's too far fetched that no one would notice a person simply walking out and taking a kid along with them. Wearing a wig or disguise or carrying a duffel bag big enough to carry a second grader would only draw attention. I think whoever took Kyron out of the school just basically acted natural and walked out IMO.

Lots of people milling around, coming and going from the different classrooms makes it even more likely that no one would notice than if it was in a crowded gym. Also on a day like that where people are free to roam around, they would be leaving at different times. All that would really need to happen is that you leave when no one who recognizes you notices. They could have simply left at a time when no one else was in the parking lot too.

There was just an end of the year activity day at my daughter's elementary school and I didn't specifically notice anybody coming or going. I don't personally know every parent and student at the school so I wouldn't even pay attention if I saw some random person leaving with their kid.

the more i read these theories, the less I believe TH was involved. The phone pings on Sauvie Island only place her there, and there are many reason she could have been there that have nothing to do with Kyron, but reasons she hoped would reamin secret. An affair or drug deal seem most likely to me and Kyron's disappearance, while unrelated to her whereabouts, made very public something she hoped to keep private.

I think she just walked out with him. I don't think she even thought about being seen. But I do think whatever happen that day was when it was planned to happen.

What if The wee man had forgotton something in the car that he needed for that day, TH already left so he runs after her, out into the carpark, she doesnt see him and accidently knocks him over, she see's that no one is around and no one followed him, so she panics, puts him in the car and drives off, I know its a far fetched idea, but Kyron just running out of school after TH for something may explain how he got out without being noticed, she may have asked him does your teacher know you've left or did anyone see you coming out. Do we know where in the carpark she parked?
Apologies if i've put this is the wrong place and also if these scenarios have been discussed before, I've been away and there's ALOT i'm still trying to catch up with

If you render the victim unconscious you could put him in a box, duffel bag, garbage bag, trash can, any number of items. If you look like a janitor, you could be just taking out trash, if you are a parent, teacher, worker, you could use a box or duffel bag as it was a day for bring things in and out to the cars. I am thinking someone other than SM, because I think he was approached in a bathroom. Or a classroom, someplace with a bit of cover. Some of the class rooms were used for displays, Yes?

Something like maybe that wheeled large garbage can in the hallway in the picture of Kyron's classroom?

It also wouldn't be hard to walk in with Kyron, tell him that he left something important in the car - perhaps a part of the display, and then tell him outside of his classroom to meet her at the back entrance to run out and get whatever the object was. That situation would have SM leaving on her own, and Kyron then leaving out the back door by himself - in case there was a witness.

exactly what i have been thinking all along. a giant trash can or wheeled cart. Both are always out in the Cafegymatorium at my kids' school.

No we don't . LE has not said that no one saw them leave together. LE has very specifically said "Kyron was last seen alive before he disappeared" by TH, that means he wasn't last seen in a group setting. He was seen by TH and then "disappeared", LE has a strong reason for being so specific in such a tight-lipped case.

IMO, someone saw KH and TH together either leaving the building or in the process of going off alone down the hallway or into a bathroom, etc... and LE is looking for more detail or witnesses by using the flyers.

Hi S_finch, Not nit picking here, but I thought the Sheriff said she was the last one to see Kyron before he disappeared. I read a post say the word 'alive' was not in his sentence. xox

Disguising Kyron has occurred to me. Simply removing his glasses would make less noticeable, even to people who knew him, since they were used to seeing him with his glasses on.

I don't know what distance he can walk without difficulty without his glasses.

to me this changes a lot.
I had heard it wasn't raining, so I moved on from my first thought... which was...

that when it is rainy, most people are more worried about themselves getting from point a to point b that they do not pay much attention to people around them. Plus this was a day many were bringing in projects. So they were even more busy with their own activities to notice who was walking by them.
You add in some umbrellas, coats and bulky projects.

However..... I do want to point out... many said that not many were at school yet, but in the pictures, almost all the other kids have projects already set up. So was that done the day before?

Well we know Kyron didn't have on his coat as it was left in his room, right?

Those things are very, very LOUD! It's the rollers that rattle, squeal qnd rumble enough to make children cover their ears and adults wince, in my experience!

I'm wondering what the policy is at the school if you want to sign your child out. Do you have to go to the office or what? It seems odd that even if the teacher was told that he had an appointment, that she wouldn't at least verify that he was signed out? I just don't see how someone would assume that a child who was there and roaming around the school at one point wouldn't make sure that he was in the bathroom or signed out for the day or roaming around the halls when he wasn't supposed to be when he didn't come back to the class.

Just wanted to remind people that this view is oriented with north at the bottom instead of the top, so north, south, east and west will be in the opposite directions than usual when you're looking at a map.

I think that is the south side of the bldg on the right. The north side would be where the larger white roof is. So west would be what you are saying is north, right? lol and IMO

There is barely enough room for about 50 cars in that parking lot, so anyone coming TO the school would be more focused on finding a place to park than watching people walking around.

IMO
