The whole "vehicle to a bike trail" thing also got me wondering something else, days after the girls went missing. Monday, the 16th, in fact. Why take along a bike and RIDE to make a statement? Why not simply DRIVE to the police station and report such there? I am sooo confused.

I posted a story of something that happened to me when I was a preteen out riding my bike. I want to repeat the story because I think it helps show people how easy an abduction can happen to two girls on bikes.
A friend and I decided to go off on a bike ride on a long bike trail, much further from home than we would have ever ridden alone before. The trail was alongside a busy road for the most art, occasionally it would curve into the woods and out of sight of the road for a little bit. It was the middle of a weekday during summer. As we rode into one of the cuves into the woods, a man appeared from out of the forest onto the path ahead of us holding a smallish knife. We came to an abrupt halt. He led us off the path, with us wheeling out bikes, and deeper into the woods. He did not touch either of us, although he exposed himself and was obviously enjoying himself. We were a few years older than Lyric and Elizabeth, and very street smart (I grew up in NYC), but believe me, the ONLY thing we thought of is, HE HAS A KNIFE. No running, no screaming no fighting him off for neither of us. It only took a few seconds. Had he had a car to take us with, I know we would have been... GONE.
Do I think it was planned? No. Do I think he was hanging out waiting for prey to appear? No. I just think he was walking the trail, and like so many criminals out there, took advantage of a happenstance situation that was presented to him. As far as he was concerned, he was just in the right place at the right time.
I'm not saying that this is what happened to L and E, but just reminding folks that it does sometimes JUST happen like that without advance planning and forethought. It really doesn't have to be complicated.

BBM

Your response was normal. As in, that is what most people do when confronted by a weapon and obviously anti-social behaviour. It doesn't have to be a gun, any weapon is frightening enough to get compliance from most people.

I not long ago ran across TWO photos of something that, upon closer examination, extended a thought. Different places I saw 'em, but... it was interesting. Not sure what, if anything, I might conclude about such, but it was interesting.
Dealt with horses...

I think I saw riders on horses involved in the volunteer search on some pics in an article or something on one of the threads awhile back...I think I did..I think one rider was a man in camo clothing. I noticed, because I love horses myself..I think it was a chestnut horse. MOO

Now wondering: the girls were familiar with that place, idk for sure, but if other kids showed them, who showed the other kids? So who knew the kids were going there?

What if the "phone call" was made first....then onward to the lake. ??

This is actually what I think. . .and I'm not so sure it was onward to the park. . it was maybe just out of town.

Man, men, woman, or women, or a combination IMO.

This is totally hypothetical and just me personally but if I saw people out on the trail or in the woods checking something out, I wouldn't think anything of it. Or another thought is someone could be standing breathing hard and drinking water, making it look like they're out of breath from running. From my understanding it's not strictly a bike path, so people walking, jogging, etc. around it wouldn't be strange.

Now some guy standing there by himself staring at who was coming up or down the trail might look a whole lot more suspect. Even that could look like he was getting ready to cross and wanted to make sure no one was coming so he doesn't get hit.

Which is one reason I have wondered about fishermen or boaters. Because a guy with a fishing pole can sit and watch all day, and not attract any attention. And he can use it as a lure.

I'm sorry you experienced this. Glad you and your friend were not physically attacked.

Since this morning my whole theory has changed. I now have a set theory and Im sticking to it 100%. You know when something gives you goosebumps your on to something.

The cctv part of the timeline has been a puzzle from the beginning.
First it was 12:15, then it was 12:11...then the owner of the camera said the camera was 8 minutes slower than his cellular clock/watch, which means the cctv was actually 12:19
This was made public days after the witness report

The witness said the call was made at 12:27
The witness guesstimated he saw the bikes at around 12:20 based on the call he made
The witness said he made the call after he saw the bikes on the trail..after he biked to a bathroom stop

MOO...hope I got that right.

I may be stubborn, but I still think the bikes may have been seen by the cyclist BEFORE the girls rode back to the pking lot and were seen on the cctv.

I think they might have been at the lake at 11:45 until 12;10ish, talking to the perp. Then they were told to come right back and they could ride the
horse, boat, ATV, or pet the puppies, or whatever.

As hard as I try, I cannot see how a random perp has pulled this off.

Two girls, biking fast. How were they physically stopped without some sort of ruckus? We know the girls were expected home and grandma actually was mad and started looking at 12.30.

How did it go in your minds eye? Practically speaking...or even someone with a puppy or a horse?

How did the perp get them into a vehicle, then gone, without anyone hearing or seeing anything?

Yes I think that is very likely. :)

Wonder if LE checked a certain someone's vehicle for possible evidence?
Or checked cell phone usage for the entire day of July 13?
Or checked work records?
Or talked with family members?

Because the perp became friends with the girls, they trusted him.

For those who are concerned about Misty - I believe her hospital admission was nearly two weeks ago, unless there's been a second one.

I don't know if that's reassuring, or I've just made it worse.

Hi, imoo It's not likely that the right theory will be found here before
LE finds the right theory.
But
The wondrous thing about WS is that bits and pieces of many theories
probably hold SOME truth.
IMO

IMO, with all the different theories we have had, I think it is likely that the right theory has been found here and LE probably has already found the right theory also. The problems is that WS'rs can't do anything and LE needs to follow the rules.

<<just got off naughty chair for not following rules.

:rocker: excellent question

How well I know just what you mean! There were numerous things I have discovered that, even though they are not "rumor" and such, they cannot be posted here due to POI issues and "sleuthing" of a variety of things. Despite the inability to post, however, when I put it into chronological order, it begins to paint a rather frightening picture. I can only hope that LE is seeing things enough to check into it more deeply.

Chloroform? I did learn in Caylee's case that you can buy it online or there are recipes to make it. I think anyone that makes meth could make it. They would have to get close enough. Oh my, makes me think E was running with her purse away from someone.

Although I keep thinking the bikes were staged. hmmm

correct, they need the evidence and proof to name a POI...
wonder if they ever got anything back from lab testing w/ good results??
they may never tell us...

I too believe I know exactly what happened, or at least, as close as possible.

Cannot post it on here either...

One thing I'm sure of is that LE also know exactly what's happened too, and are (hopefully) on top of things and will bring it to a resolution SOON.

Mind you, that's what I said about Isabel Celis too.
