I recently watched an episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. He was in Iowa and a large portion of the show put the spotlight on a hog farmer in Bremer County. I googled and I guess a lot of other websleuthers might have seen the same show. I was a bit taken back to see that this episode of Bizarre Foods was filmed the same week Elizabeth and Lyric went missing.

WAVERLY --- Carl Blake spent the past five years cross-breeding hogs searching for the perfect combination of fat and meat.
His latest result is so tasty and rare it lured Andrew Zimmern of the Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods" on Wednesday to the former Bremer County Poor Farm near Waverly.
Blake breeds two varieties of hogs to create an Iowa version of the Swabian Hall swine. The purebred combination of a Meishan hog from China and a Russian wild boar from Germany got worldwide recognition in the 1800s and was named the best pork in the 1892 World Fair.
