Just one more tidbit about the monsters:

The sheriff said Howells, 39, and Vaisey, 25, "were targeting opportunities" and did not necessarily grab the girls because they were Amish.

"There was a lot of thought process that went into this," Wells said. "They were looking for opportunities to victimize." http://news.msn.com/crime-justice/sheriff-pair-may-have-plotted-to-kidnap-more-kids

I happen to think that Elizabeth and Lyric's killer/s were also looking for the opportunity to victimize. The abduction happened swiftly, but unlike the Amish girls, there was no eye witness. In the case of child abductions I do think eye witness accounts are invaluable as to the description of the vehicle and I believe in most child abductions by an adult there will be a vehicle. Obviously the bodies being placed in Seven Bridges indicates the killer had transportation readily available. JMO and all that Bs.

These guys fit my mental profile to a T. Much more closely than Klunder, though I couldn't rule him out. I agree, it was likely a crime of opportunity. (Addendum: I thought at least one of them would be even younger than 25.)

The peoplefinders list Howells as from Minnesota. The map shows Evansdale as right on a possible route between Minneapolis and upstate New York. (Link to map https://goo.gl/maps/THv9P) But at this point that's only a curiosity.

This sounds eerily like what was looked at from Elizabeth's home and hopefully Lyric's family home too:

"Ms. Rain said in an interview that during their captivity, the sisters were held in Mr. Howells’s home in Hermon, N.Y. As part of the investigation, computer forensics specialists planned to review electronic data and equipment from the house."

Maybe that's what the FBI always does in child abduction cases. Now days you just cannot overlook the aspect of "online" danger to your children.

I think our own collective profiles of the perp pretty much mirror theirs.....

I don't see the profile on this website, but on the Courier's website.

<Snipped by me>

"“The offender blends in with and may be part of the Evansdale, Bremer and surrounding communities. It is unlikely that the offender is a transient or someone who was merely traveling or ‘passing through’ the area,” according to the site.

Analysts went on to say the suspect likely used “quiet coercion” to gain the girls’ compliance into leaving Meyers Lake, using a ruse or threats of violence. It said the cousins were possibly the victims of opportunity."

I know Bremer has been mentioned more than once as a possibility of the perp's stomping grounds....

So glad to see all of this for Lyric and Elizabeth. Sounds as if Drew and Heather are rebuilding their relationship slowly. I can't imagine the stress their marriage must be under. Kudos to them for keeping it together. It's not over yet, but I'm confident the killer will be found. This website with the profile is very encouraging.

Also posted this on 'Amish" thread...fwiw..

http://www.brantfordexpositor.ca/20...er-accused-of-bondage-style-sex-with-students

"BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A popular former Alabama high school band teacher suspected of forcing at least eight underage female students into bondage-style sex over a three-year period was arrested in Georgia, authorities said Thursday.

Jeffery Lance Gainous, 32, is suspected of gagging and tying up several of his then-students and using other bondage devices on them both in the band room at T. R. Miller High School in Brewton, Alabama, and at his home, police said."

Has anyone actually been able to read the profile for the suspect on the new website yet? Every time I go there, it says server overload and try again later.

"Other possible characteristics include:

The suspect may have been experiencing stress related to legal troubles, spousal problems, employment difficulties, financial strain or mental health issues in July 2012.
The suspect may avoid discussing the case or showing interest in the matter but is likely following developments in the media.
The offender may have attempted to abduct children or adults in the past.
Following the disappearance, the suspect may have altered his or her physical appearance, such as changing hair style and facial hair. The offender’s vehicle may also have been altered with a new paint job or re-upholstery.

Analysts’ experience with prior abduction cases points to one person being involved, but there are cases where more than one person was involved.

“The public is strongly encouraged to contact law enforcement with any suspicion involving a single offender, multiple offenders or any individual they are suspicious of -- whether or not the person possesses any of the characteristics mentioned,” the site states".

I have to say the possible characteristic that stands out to me is:

"The offender may have attempted to abduct children or adults in the past."

That gives me cold chills. :cold: CMF

Just throwing this out there too: Lyric's mom was living in Oelwin where her latest arrest occurred.
Thinking out loud here ... wonder who our girls knew, and possibly trusted, in that neck of the woods. The hair on my arms is once again standing up.

I am going to do some "Arizona" sleuthing ... cya later.

Well B4igo2it I was gonna tell you not to leave us :hanging: That was really quick. Thank you!

Okay, help me understand. This means the judge thinks any pictures of this creeper in his new jail suit would prejudice a jury perhaps? We better keep an eye on this judge. I'm hoping he certainly means well, but you never know. That are some messed up judges out there that do not use their best JUDGEMENT!
