If the black SUV circling between 11:30-1:00am has something to do with Mollie then she got home from her run. If the driver took her during her run he wouldn’t come back a couple hours later and circle around.
What if she didn't finish her homework until later than anything we've assumed so far but still wanted to go and pick up the car that night? If she thought she was safe would she still have walked over to her Mom's house even though it was quite late?

Hoping le will make an announcement tomorrow with some new info. And if WC isn’t panning out, they may have to as it seems they may have used quite a bit of time and resources there.

Also hoping thread can stay open tonight...it is hard on those of us who are night owls and did not break rules :(

I hope law enforcement is able to clear up matters soon. As the man who has been talked to by the FBI is being convicted and threatened on social media which makes me appreciate and understand why we have rules here at Websleuths.

The next press conference will be held on Tuesday, August 7th.

I haven't found the time posted for this conference but I'm sure one of you wonderful people will advise.

Thanks,

I hope we get new information otherwise I’m afraid sadly people will start losing interest in the case.

I might expect a digital trail in the morning, such as texting to her mother or bf, but not necessarily. If such an action was not part of her typical routine then we'd have nothing further from which to sleuth.

I can’t believe she would do all that in the morning without any texts etc...I don’t believe anyone of a certain age group makes a move without texting, posting, liking a post etc...evidence being my own eyes lol. Maybe I notice so much because I almost never have my phone with me, often even on errands, it is just not important to me. So I really see that most people around are using theirs all the time.

if I hit reply or quote on a post and change my mind about posting or do it by accident, I can't get rid of the post. So I backspace until the post is gone and put .... And hit post reply. Others type delete or nevermind or something like that. If someone wants to follow, they usually type follow ing.

It's quite incredible all the incidents online in the region where women are being harassed simply when they out walking, biking or running.
RSBM. Unfortunately, especially the verbal harassment is pretty much constant. I think people think of it as an urban problem but it's a toxic masculinity problem that is everywhere. The actual grabbing thing, too - I live in a big city so it's more geographically concentrated but there are stories about attempted abductions fairly regularly.

I honestly don't know what to make of the situation with him. But I do know that law enforcement has to do something with him and quick. He will be a tip killer in that if people think that law enforcement is focusing on him and think he is responsible then people who might tip in some other individual or tip in something they saw won't do so since they would think law enforcement already has their person. And if he is their guy they need to label him as such so they don't get piles of useless tips that waste everyone's time. This episode has gone on far too long and law enforcement is going to hinder their own investigation if they don't do something soon one way or the other.

It's reminiscent of the Delphi case and RL. There was so much unnecessary focus on him.

Here's a screenshot of the man driving the black Mercury van in Miner, Mo. who tried to abduct the jogger. He looks very muscular and his arm appears to be covered in tattoos. He also looks like he has a gray goatee. Here's also a screenshot of the van.

The white van story is an urban legend which occurs in almost all states, and in other countries too.

O/T: My Dad has always driven a large white van for work. When I was a kid in the early 80s, he'd pick me up from school and he still talks about the looks he received from other parents. I have worked with child sexual abuse victims for 12 years and have yet to know of a perp who was the strange man driving a white van and passing out candy.

It is unfortunate how we view black SUVs or white vans as stranger danger alerts when the overwhelming majority of abuse and violent crime is committed by someone known to the victim. Someone that "would never" do "that."

You can hit the button I circled in the attached picture (delete draft) and then refresh your page. It will get rid of the post altogether.

I'd guess we'd have to take in to account that MT had to gather clothing for the day, shower/bathe, make/eat breakfast, prepare to escort a large group of children at camp plus deal with attending college classes, jogging routines, take care of the dogs, etc. This makes me think that even though MT heavily used her phone, Fitbit and whatever else, that she did so not in an obsessive manner... only when it was part of her routine or necessary.

Not so much texting, but stuff like liking Facebook posts, or hearting Instagram pictures. Stuff that is just scroll and click. Or snapchat interactions, like viewing friend's messages or whatever. Low effort but stuff I think people really commonly do when they've just got up in the morning.

Also I haven't seen a time anywhere for the AM text from her BF, and I'd be more curious about that.

I just realized--everyone else is probably miles ahead of me--the extent to which LE may be able to get a timeline from her friends.

Remember back at the beginning, when we heard that she was sending massive numbers of Snapchats to her bf, to try to get him to the top of her Snapchat friends list?

That should mean that she had a lot of other people she communicated with on Snapchat. People who probably sent her Snapchats...

LE, without even getting a warrant, just by talking to her friends, might be able to get a feel for the timeline, by when she stopped opening them--which will show on the friends phones, right?

I thought your example was good! People want protection even if they are doing good and trying to help - you don't want to be responsible if something goes wrong. Legally it just comes up more often in LE letting a couple little fish swim if it means they catch the big kahuna. lol
You’re very kind! And I can’t beloeve there’s actually someone else that says “big kahuna!” I use this term every chance I get and it usually draws odd looks. Perhaps I’m so anxious to use it, I’m probably not making sure it’s fully in context just because I love to say “big kahuna.”

If you start a post and change your mind and want to get rid if it, backspace (deleting everything) then click on the drafts icon towards the right of the post tool bar, and click "delete draft". Then you get rid of the draft without posting a blank post.

Video interview of Miner Police Chief:
Man tries to abduct young female in Miner, MO, still at large
  • Police believe the man in Miner who tried to abduct the female runner may have done it before.
  • Miner Police Chief Chris Griggs says they've been following leads for a week and believes the suspect may be wearing a new disguise or even be in a different vehicle.
  • Confident that the vehicle is a black Mercury van made between 2005 and 2007.
