Serial killers kill for pleasure
And for sex and control. It is usually always sexual in nature.

When I see the thought that a SK likely would not be randomly driving through this little town I always think back to seeing a 60 Minutes special or maybe it was ABC's 20/20, where they interviewed a SK on death row in Texas. He traveled East, West and North and South in this nation hitchhiking and killing others along the way and he smiled as he was interviewed and said "and there are many more like me out on the highways."

He was executed.

I had nightmares about that interview for months.

Thank you, and so, a FitBit doesn't need to be worn by a person who's engaged in activity to ping? Sorry if this is a stupid question but it sounded like certain kinds of activity by the person wearing it is what generates info.

The Fitbit doesn't have to be worn, but it needs to have been manually put in an "activity mode" in order to use GPS.

Totally agree it all fits!! And her not calling her mum to say she wouldnt be there for dinner.
I know many people do eat an early dinner, but a normal family dinner takes place at 5:30-7:30. Did they usually eat dinners late?

That is what I am saying. If somebody sends the info and LE already have it, well great. If not, they have provided the LE with an important tip. More importantly, it lets LE (and not us!) decide who should and should not be considered a witness, POI, or a suspect ... and that is as it should be.

The only thing that can be gathered online about the person in that theory is that they seem to be a bit of a narcissistic, angry misogynist, and somewhat surprisingly so given their age. However, there is NO crime in not being a great person. I would have been arrested at that age, if it were. Again, all the other angles are for LE to sort out, not us.

So if I was in a 3 yr long relationship and basically living with my partner, there’s a pretty good chance my bf would know my Apple ID and password. I read her school computer was a Mac, so she is obviously loyal to Apple. Something that I didn’t realize, is that you can locate a iPhone with a dead battery, if a specific feature is turned on that was available, oh so many, updates ago.

Whoever took her I don't believe she knew him that well because if she did, someone (a friend, family member) would know about him and would be her "enabler." A girl like her who seems smart would not be meeting someone without letting at least 1 person know about what's going on. She'd likely confide to a college friend, someone with no ties to her boyfriend or family. She may have even known this person through a friend. But there's been no information about that. So if this guy was barely known to her, I doubt she would feel comfortable meeting him in jogging attire. She'd at least get dolled up, even to meet a newish friend who's just a friend. And if this was an awkward guy type, I also don't think she'd be meeting him in just shorts and a sports bra. She'd only be comfortable enough to meet a longtime friend in these sweaty clothes, but that someone many people would already know about. And the fact that her bf didn't know she was meeting anyone, if she did arrange to meet someone it would be someone she felt romantic about so again she wouldn't be meeting him in sweaty clothes.

Some stranger grabbed her off the street? Seems a bit unlikely, I think she would have at least screamed so someone would have heard.
Maybe it was someone she knew who appeared out of the blue and offered her a ride. Why did her watch die at the pig farm? Did he take her out there and smash the watch himself? No way does it just die on the way to wherever while she's in the car. And if it died while laying on the ground for hours I'm sure they would've found it by now. Or did she happen to turn it off as they drove by the farm? Maybe the guy told her to.
Since there may be evidence she returned to her bf's house, he could've come into the house first and prepared a chloroform rag which would be why there's no sign of struggle. But the only evidence is her doing homework on the laptop, but how did they realize that? A file timestamp? Maybe that was just autosaved. I find it odd that she would go straight to her hw without showering or at least doing anything else that would have disturbed the home (at least take off her shoes?).
Occasionally when I jog will wear one of those very thin nylon lightweight drawstring type backpack. Nike Adidas all make them and are common with runners. I usually wear one when going somewhere after my run to keep my hands free except for my iphone and pepper spray around my wrist. I'll throw a bottle of water, towel, shorts, a tee shirt, soap and deodorant, and a few dollars in my pack. Half the times I leave my wallet at home if I'm not going to need it, not driving for brief visit or I just forget. I wonder if Mollie has been known to use one? Perhaps she did and that's why a red tee was found it was taken out by perp used to bind her. Just thinking out of the box. At this point anything is possible .

Take a phone, a GPS, a periscope, a string, white pebbles, a knife, a flag, matches, an SUV, and a Sherman tank if handy.
LOL. Nowadays I would. This was back in the late 70s and early 80s. The fields I used to search were really enclosed so to speak. The only people who could have seen me were hunters, which now is a really scary thought.

He did state he may have been the last person to see her alive. Whether it was his original statement or subsequent is not relevant.

It was probably not his finest idea to share his “thoughts” with the press. Just facts to LE, IMO.

I haven’t seen anything that contradicts his version, in which he never says, “last person that saw her ALIVE” - according to him, he said the last person to see her in town. It’s a different sentiment entirely, IMO.

Jmo I do not see her going off with someone via a “sob story” new puppy etc...she was doing her run, had homework, etc...I think, with headphones on, she did not hear a truck or car slow down behind her, stop, etc and was just taken quickly.

Ms. O'Toole said this was based on reports. What reports? We haven't heard of any.
I am skeptical of talking heads on television, even someone with her credentials.
And whether Mollie casually knew her abductor or if the person was someone she had never seen, I do believe this was a SK. Maybe even someone who lived in plain sight of everyone.

If, however, the perp is someone who was stalking her and wants her kept alive for his own use (ugh...hate that thought!), she may not be found for a long period of time.

I pray the FBI and detectives are far ahead of us and will rescue her and bring her home.
It states that she's reviewed the previous "reporting" of the case, I take that to mean the public knowledge, pressers and media reports. We can't say if she has any specific info on this case (but it's propable she still has connections). Regardless, her theory is better than most and backed with vast experience in profiling at a high level. Either way, I agree with you in hoping that LE is far ahead of us and there will be a resolution soon, hopefully one where she comes home safely ❤️

I mentioned this in a longer post (which most probably did not read!) but I think this simple fact is worth throwing out there for some to work into their theories on what happened:

As far we know, Mollie's mom was not so alarmed that Mollie did not show up for dinner, despite their text exchange, for her to call the police or start looking for her until the next morning at the earliest. This just indicates to me that her failure to show up at mom's, alone, is not enough to prove that she went missing on her jog.

If you were a mother and your daughter planned to have dinner with you on a given night, but never called or showed up---would you just let it go? there must be a reason Mom did not call her . Somewhere it was said that Mollie was very predictable in her day to day activities, so someone could be watching her and knew her comings and goings.

IMO someone like this just does not blow off mom for dinner

I would imagine there is a talk of the town favorite theory of what happened. Are people scared to let their children out to play? Are joggers now on the buddy system? Are people wary in the parking of the grocery store? What is the general feel of safety in the town?
I can speak for myself only and as a resident of a neighboring community that is really abuzz. I see a slight increase in caution, but not much. Solo joggers still run by my house every night. Kids are out all over town until dark. My own 11 year old slept in a tent in the back yard last night - but her dog slept in the tent with her. We want to know what happened and who is responsible, but we’re not going to let our fears become our reality.

I wonder if she was not running towards her

It doesn't look to me that she was running towards her mom's house.
Omggg kkdj, this gave me a couple more awful thoughts :(
(Please know I’m trying to be positive and optimistic but the grave potential realities do exist here I’m afraid, especially when we are dealing with a missing female. And jogger. And are in a crime forum.

When you said “running towards her”, 2 things:

1. The potential of someone hitting her with their car on purpose in order to slightly incapacitate. This may sound far fetched, but think about the predators that we have seen who rear end vehicles. Just a thought (in addition to the already mentioned hit and run coverup scenario, driver being intoxicated, etc.). FTR LE has not indicated any evidence of this (tire skid marks, debris, etc.)

Secondly, related to the above, and posssibly more relevant:
I’ve talked about this before in other threads. Sometimes predators do not just “creep out of the bushes” so to speak. My friend was attacked in a mall parking lot. She was walking to her car in the far end of the lot. Suddenly, she sees this huuuge male, running at her full speed “like a football player”, cursing and yelling, with a very angry look on his face! :( It took her a couple moments to realize oh my gosh this guys running at me. So she hurried lyft in her car and locked the doors within seconds of him reaching her. She started yelling “b/:;)!, open the door!!!” and was kicking the car and banging on the window. She got away, ran over him partially, minor injuries, called 911, girl is so sweet she felt bad, I wouldn’t haveanyway, he had a second of SA and his intentions were not good. End of editing time crap

So it doesn't seem like people think a boogey man is running around.

Well, in my opinion, the fact that mom did NOT seem alarmed would indicate that it either wasn’t unusual, or there was no “usual” for her to measure against in this unusual circumstance with Mollie staying at BFs.
