I would like to know why someone is allowed to cruise around small town Iowa... without an Iowa drivers license.

Very true! It's something to notice but does not mean they knew each other in "real" life or even had friends in common in "real" life but I still find it worth noticing that they did have Facebook friends in common.

FB friend suggestions pop up on her list but it appears she is not actual FB friends with them. I think she added the missing MT FB Page and it would pop up these suggestions for her to friend others associated with that page.

Take it from a gal who was stalked USE IT! I believe pepper spray should be legal in all 50 states for women to carry. I use the one with a mix of teargas and pepper spray with the glove. It's made for joggers. How I wish Mollie had been carrying one. I give them out as stocking stuffers at Christmastime with instructions. Don't leave them in a hot car and leave it home if you are going to fly. I oftentimes have to go to courthouses for research and the local deputies know me and they either just set it aside for me to retrieve or they just let me through with it!

I'm glad you brought that up. I saw his pictures and truthfully he doesn't look much different from so many young men I see in the city I live in. <modsnip>

Just seems that would be a long time before an arrest.

Sometimes it takes a while to get everything lined up. When my uncle was murdered, they had multiple reports of the guys who did it admitting to people they did it. Unfortunately they didn't have the evidence to prove it at the time and it took a while to make arrests

really I think there should be a lot more people that have them. I save enough on my insurance over two years to pay for my system and all upkeep. I use to have only tiny hard to locate but decided that was just to catch a after the fact issue so I put up huge apparent ones too to discourage.

Yep & put up a sign that says camera & audio on property.
Seriously just the SIGN alone will change things.

most will not let you set the correct time if the system wrote a file already with the same name/time. most name files by cam num and time. no one wants to turn their system off for a couple weeks just to set the time,

I am not sure exactly what you are saying. When my camera system is recording it is recorded to a specific date and time. When I loose power it will change the date to 01/01/2014 and time to 12:00 because of my software. It will then start recording as if today is Jan 1, 2014 and 2 weeks could go by and I could loose power again and it will get reset all over again back to Jan 1, 2014 at 12:00.

I do not loose any of the footage that has been recorded because the DVR will hold 3000 hours before it is re-recorded over. To view it though I have to pull all the data off my DVR and put it onto a USB drive to watch through it because of how it is archived.

It can be quite a challenge when going back I have had it happen twice now when trying to go back but now I am much better at resetting that info before I reset clocks in my house. Something like this could have been such a challenge with the CCTV footage from Brooklyn which only makes for more difficulties during an investigation.

Wow. As more of this story is revealed it will be interesting to see if CR targeted her in advance or if this was more random. Again, either way, it is just so scary and heart breaking.

LEO in PC today said CR admitted to having seen her running before the 18th, and he was stalking her that evening, followed her, circled around, and then approached her when she was on that stretch of road that was isolated from view.
