In his arrest warrant it’s noted he doesn’t have one
I don’t recall LE saying it was his car, I may be wrong but I think they said it’s registered to someone else, I think they tracked it back to the owner who told them CR/JB uses it
So he was driving illegally as well

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are currently 12 states (including WA) that allows illegal immigrants to get a driver’s license. But by law, it must ask for and keep on file an applicant’s SSN, or other information establishing identity such as a birth certificate or country of origin. In Washington State, the State used to make the collected information immediately available in a database to all police, federal, state and local whenever they requested it, but this was changed in April of this year. (Sanctuary State)... In theory, CR could have gotten a legal DL in WA, (or one of the other 11 states that allows illegal immigrants to get a drivers license). The system is broken, no if's, and's or but's. MOO

If any of you guys need another place to sleuth as we wait for the trial in Mollie’s case, please feel free to join me on the Courtney DuBois forum. It’s a troubling case and I think a lot of you guys could bring some valuable insight to the table. Thanks!

First off, I clarified that I made a mistake in my post about IM as soon as it was pointed out to me, it was an error having that sentence at the top of my post.

I left my original post to go find the article to cut and paste instead of trying to paraphrasing it and didn’t realizing I needed to erase the sentence I previously started the post with, it was an honest mistake, it was not on purpose or to be deceitful and that was explained a few posts later.

About CR and having a drivers license, by all accounts and only what has been reported, CR only presented an out of state ID to employers and the arrest warrant I posted does not list a DL for him

I am well aware that they get DL in other states but that is not what has been reported about CR

Yes, the system is broken!

In applying for the job, Rivera provided a state ID and Social Security card that was verified through the Social Security Administration's verification system, according to Lang. But those forms of ID were not of Rivera, he said.

Just out of curiosity, is NY one of those states?

The OP that quoted the Daily Mail got it wrong. DM cites that public records linked ex-GF to property located 6 minute drive from location Mollie was kidnapped from (i.e., 385th St). However, same could be said about me; a public record showing I lived there in 1977, and which would be meaningless to this case! More important - I don't believe CR's dairy farm housing/trailer was 6 minutes from 385th St.

Another poster posted the proximity of where CR lived to 385th, I believe there is even a map of the distance posted in this thread or the last one.

It is indeed close, map in link

I know you didn’t ask me but thought I would offer this up

ALBANY - Undocumented immigrants might be able to get driver's licenses in New York if a new bill is passed in the state Legislature.

Will NY let undocumented immigrants get driver's licenses?
Thank you! I knew they had been talking about it for years but didn't know if anything had come of it. As it is, they already get free rides to school and medical appointments.

Cheney family speaks about Mollie Tibbetts' death

“They were still in this local area, but we had no idea why except that we had heard that there was a ping,” said Cheney.

IIRC, one of the neighbors very close to DJ’s house, like across the road, said LE questioned him about if he saw Mollie because there was a ping at or near his house too.

It would seem that they do have electronic data to work off of?

What's been nagging at me is the location of that cornfield. It seems so random and unnecessarily far away when there are plenty of isolated locations, fields, ponds, and rivers very near site of abduction and along any route south.

Again, I am NOT arguing that CR is a SK. I was, however, curious to see what I could find about SKs and the distances they would go to make contact with their victims vs where they'd leave the body, and here is one older research paper I found. It's interesting.

https://www.researchgate.net/public...ath_The_spatial_behavior_of_US_serial_killers

What's striking is Table 1. Basically, the mean average distance for the 4th victim is : ~3.4 miles from SK's home to point of fatal encounter (PFE), and ~14.5 miles from SK's home to body dump (BD). In MT's case, CR's house is roughly 4 miles from site of abduction, and roughly 14 miles to body recovery site.

If I've learned anything from my short time at WS, it's not to look too deep into coincidences, which is all this probably is. But interesting all the same.

How do they get SS if they never worked for it? You have to work so many quarters before you are eligible. No work, no pay.

One way is to steal a dead persons SS and use it until they get caught

Andres Avelino Anduaga — if that’s even his real name — admitted to assuming the identity of a U.S. citizen in 1980. Armed with a fake birth certificate, he developed a seemingly legitimate persona by applying for a California driver’s license, Social Security number and U.S. passport.

Interesting article.....

IRS Admits It Encourages Illegals To Steal Social Security Numbers For Taxes

It's the same in my county. The property owners pay school taxes. Every child rides the bus for free including many who's parents pay no property tax.
I guess maybe in wrong to assume they do that everywhere? Unless the district is somehow independtly wealthy, I cant imagine how else they would pay for these things. Isn't there a school budget everywhere? In one town near where I am, the taxpayers are fighting the budget because the school is asking for a million extra! Or a million something . More than what the usual budget is.
