While looking through some photos of the first court appearance by CR; did anyone else notice a member of the Mexican Consulate (out of Omaha) was present at the hearing? I wonder if they have been involved (somehow) from the beginning? Sorry if this was posted in an earlier thread. Law enforcement at dairy farm that employed suspect in Mollie Tibbetts' death

There is a way to do it legally.

Yes there is, but if all of agrabusiness were to stick to the rules, and aggressively enforce them, and possibly break a number of Federal statutes in doing so, most of us would not be able to afford chickens or eggs. Popeyes and Church's fried chicken would go out of business. And if you think pre-packed cut meat is expensive now?

Those Southern states that have aggressively pursued immigration enforcement and employee verification, have seen 25% of their labor intensive crops rot in the fields, because migrants will no longer go to those States. Farmers are going bankrupt. It is just like the current trade dust-up with China. The first victims of the fallout from that are the soybean farmers.

Sure there is a way to do almost anything, if you're willing to pay the cost. Cheep migrant agrarian labor gives us affordable food. You can happily kick all of the migrants, et al out if you want to give that up. There is a reason that American farmers are killing themselves at record rates. They can't make ends meet as it is! Also, most Americans are physically incapable of doing the work that migrants grew up doing.

I wonder if they are entitled to a national to be involved?

Owner of car used in brutal murder of Mollie Tibbetts identified – YC.NEWS

The infamous black Chevy Malibu allegedly driven by Cristhian Bahena Rivera on the night he abducted Mollie Tibbets is a loaner from a prominent political figure and wealthy farmer’s business.

The black Malibu bearing Iowa plates is registered to Yarrabee Farms – the same establishment that employed the illegal alien suspected of brutally murdering the 20-year-old rising college sophomore, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to yc.news on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information during an ongoing criminal investigation."

“The farm and family that own it could only be described as welcoming, loving and caring for the community,” a man who went by John Smith told yc.news. He did not use his legitimate name as he quit the farm recently following the backlash, death threats and public pressure. “They would let their staff not only reside on one of their properties, but we could also use their cars from long periods of time to get to and from the farm. It’s a small town and that’s quite typical here.”

Yeah, John Smith. lol

TY for finding that! I've seen it stated someone from the Mex Consulate was there, but could never find it stated in an article.

I want to know why he got to live in a seperate trailer, and who watched over the comings and goings with the crew. Sorry you have to keep an eye on your crew.

Of course a member of the Consulate was there. This is a high profile case that is an embarrassment to Mexico. If it were an American in Mexico, a representative from the US Embasy would have been there for this attention grabbing a case!

This very aptly focuses on the human element as unexpectedly experienced by the community following the tragedy of Mollie’s death. I can understand why they have learned to beware of the media — everything about her murder is being used to serve another agenda.

Which makes my hinky meter rise even higher, regarding the three undisclosed sources who claim CR used the name John Budd. It was a family run dairy operation. Highly doubtful a family member of the farm was the snitch, nor was another undocumented worker. So not one but three people had access to the files containing farm information, who tipped off the media? Otherwise what three people would personally know and recognize CR to identify he used both names?

What exactly is yc news? What does it stand for?

You just can't warehouse a bunch of men and not know what they are doing.

There have been conflicting stories on that

Some say he shared living quarters

Some say he shared living quarters with 5 other workers

Some say he lived there alone

IMO, the lead guy would get to live alone, not the guys he that follow his instructions
