So there could have been someone who encountered the two victims who did the food truck run, or even watching them—whether before or after they arrived, including a reported Uber driver. The other two victims were a couple. So the four were separated into twos late that night.

Who could have followed the two women home or knew they were leaving the house?

What was the couple up to while the two women were doing the food truck run?

Who made the 911 call? Could the two women have walked into a situation?

So far we know that the two women who went to the food truck were in public and probably engaged an Uber driver, so how much were any of these people tuned into what the two women were doing? Who the couple was dealing with is still way up in the air.

There are so many possibilities that LE is going to have to answer at least something of substance this evening. The community deserves at least that much. I hope LE is at least keeping the families informed so that they aren't in fear for their lives while they are grieving. Sorry for the rant, all MOO.

Trying to understand the layout of the Area:

The address is 1122 King Rd but the driveway is on Queen Rd (yellow arrow). Not sure if there is a path from King Rd (yellow arrow)

The house numbers I marked in RED are all surrounding houses which has a clear view of 1122. Of course 1126 and 1118 King Rd has the clearest view of the backyard. All others seems to apartment buildings (712,714 Queen Rd, 621,701,703 Taylor Ave and 500 Queen Rd (two buildings))

I am not sure whether there is a way from Queen Rd to Linda Ln through 1330 Linda Ln (the path marked in white). Someone who knows the area can confirm it

Now to the question of prep(s) leaving after the crime:

1) They live in the surrounding vicinity and they can just walk in the night to their homes (or even walk their cars parked little further)
2) They parked close and they walked to their cars. There are two possible routes marked in pink. Another possible route is the white. Even if the white path doesn't exist the prep(s) can simply walk over to Linda Ln (i guess). Also an even remote path through 1260 Walenta Dr (gray line).

Any cameras in these homes/apartments from the night of the incident till midday would really help in this investigation.

My opinion:
The prep(s) very likely lives in the vicinity. They would need to figure out their escape route and likely knows the surroundings well. LE did search the surrounding-garbage for any clues but we don't know whether they did find anything.
What I don't understand is why LE would say it as "targeted" - I think they left messages/markings in the crime scene
From the food-truck video it is clear the girls are not paying attention to surroundings and trust others more. Also they would have unaware if anyone was watching them from outside with their daily activities inside their house.

I have seen lot of debris scattered (like discarded white claw box) all around everywhere. Is Idaho a place where they don't clean or pick up their trash often? Also in University of Idaho homicide victims believed stabbed to death in 'isolated, targeted attack': police the video shows the cops looking at a jacket in the end and after finding nothing relevant they just throw it back.

Interesting in the same link above "One neighbor said there was a lot of noise coming from the house on Saturday evening prior to the attack" - so they must have had a party of some sort? The LE would need to ID everyone in that

LE haven't said if there was forced entry, as far as I know.

The sister of one of the victims said that the front door had a key pad so a code would be needed.

Can you provide a link about an older looking man who was apparently following them? I haven't yet seen anything to suggest that, just speculation about a young man in a hoodie in the food truck video.

Local law enforcement would have reached out to them, as we've seen in lots of cases on here. They have tremendous capabilities when it comes to technology and quickly analyzing forensic evidence.

They're helping, not leading.

To answer @BelieveinUFO, I believe King and Linda are ultimately dead ends, so no through streets. However, if someone was walking, they could go from King to Linda, however it would be very dark in certain areas, due to poor lighting. These streets, if memory serves, were park, deliver mail down one side of the street and then up the other. IDK, but I suspect the perp walked to the location from elsewhere. The main roads in Moscow are swept/cleaned from I believe 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. so anyone parking nearby on Taylor would likely be ticketed during those hours. There are other places to park on the other side of Taylor, if you know where to look.

Edited to add that I think Taylor is one of those streets, but anyone now living in Moscow, please correct if that's wrong.

I've never heard of a case where LE would need a search warrant at a crime scene! Maybe they needed a warrant to collect the victim's cell phones?

i feel like they always do, and just dont announce it. i would imagine court would need to know what officer was there, when and why.

The door locked or not may not matter. The killer might have busted in right behind one or both of them as they entered the home.

I checked the forum today to find a couple of my posts deleted because I linked the livestream from the food truck that night. Not sure why since there have been other posts made regarding the footage + it has been included in MSM articles. Is this a source we are allowed to use now? Just wanted some clarification on that, I believe I had said that two of the girls could be placed at the food truck between 1:43 and 1:53am which is consistent with what the article says.

If the twitch video is included in an MSM article, then you can link the MSM article with the video in it. Otherwise the video is off limits, not approved MSM source.

Just thinking out loud, I wonder if the perp was under the influence, on some major drugs, the level of rage. Of course someone does not have to be on drugs to do something like this, and of course if they were that’s no excuse, but just thinking about the level of brutality, and wonder about PCP, meth-induced psychosis, that kind of thing.
