I live in Washingtom. I believe it depends on the officer. I've been pulled over and the officer came to my window and said “This is an educational stop, I am not going to give you a ticket but the speed limit is 40 mph you were going 50 mph”. He went back to his car and I pulled back onto the road.
He probably ran your plates/tag numbers. JMO.

The floor plan always becomes interesting during trial. Police will have a theory about how the suspect entered the home, who was murdered first, whether the suspect expected two of the tenants to have a guest, how the suspect left the house, where his car was before, during, and after the murders.

I think he parked here and entered the property through the back lane.

I don’t see any parking on Walenta Dr. It’s just a narrow road with sidewalks. Still not sure where the parking spot would have been.

Then I would ask how would the affordability of a college contribute to this suspect killing four innocent people?

If he went to a more expensive college he would have never harmed a soul?
I have no idea. I didn’t post the original post I was sharing with you how it got started and possible contribution of him being in Washington / near Idaho.
I started out my reply with…I might be incorrect…

12/9 - The last day of instruction for the term
Mind you, this is the general calendar. I'm not sure if the PhD program operates on a different schedule or if Bryan had office hours of any sort.

Add in a few days for grading. He was a TA and so I'm guessing he would of had to stay on campus until the grades were done. Unless, of course, he had made prior arrangement to leave earlier.

Great post @schooling

It's cool. Thanks for helping me understand.

I'm wondering whether he parked up there overnight and walked home and collected it a few days later?

That would provide an alibi of sorts for the vehicle, went socialising, drank too much, walked home../
No evidence of that, just thoughts.
Definitely within “reasoning” as it’s not too far between locations. There are so many places this case can go. I hope LE has enough to curtail some of the wild rabbit holes before disappearing into each one.
He lived 20 minutes driving distance, 12 km/ 9 miles, from the crime scene. He didn't walk home.
Yet he often went on night runs of 7-miles and more (public statements from a friend). So it wouldn’t be out of his zone. And if he actually committed the crimes he was supercharged and amped with adrenaline - so he could run a preplanned exit route if he so chose. JMOO

Totally disagree. If there had been any significant claw or scratch mark, it would not look like there had been no evidence of it at all 5 weeks ago. Something would still be apparent.
Not necessarily. I had a MOHS surgery and had over 40 stitches down the bridge of my nose, over my right nostril, and into my right smile line. Stitches removed a week after surgery, and within two weeks, one couldn't tell I'd had stitches. Zero scarring. I did a diluted vinegar soak twice a day and kept the area slathered in Vaseline, all per doctor's orders. Turns out that application results in no scars, because scabs never form and the Vaseline keeps out bacteria. The killer could have treated his wounds well and so had nothing visible after a few weeks.

I'll just add one more time before hitting the hay....

If the FBI was likely tailing Bryan across the country. Why did Moscow police go ahead and release the 22,000 Elantra's Press Release? If reports are to be believed that the Familial DNA locked up the probably cause affidavit. We can assume that they were led to Bryan via the Elantra.

LE's timeline does not make sense. Which points to them being aware of Bryan within a few days of the investigation starting. As quickly as the next day IMO. But he was likely already out of town at that point. As I belive he left the day following the murders for Thanksgiving Break.
Why do you think he went to PA for Thanksgiving? What’s the source?

I believe evil exists, but it is just a certain constellation of genes, and really, often they come from both sides of the family, to form a unique "set" that predisposes the person to certain behaviors.

If the guy's brain lights up like a Christmas tree on PET scan when he is shown the photos from the CS, then maybe, there once will be some medications that could block this anticipatory release of endorphins in response to his triggers? They could work for other problems, too, maybe, gambling, or shopping addiction, or gaming, so it might be not only for him, or for his group.
Love this…absolutely.

What's odd to me is that they were pulled over for following too closely to a car in front of them. In my driving life, I have never seen someone pulled over for following too close. I have been the car in front many many times and have wished that would happen to the car behind me but alas the wish was not granted. Following to close, or what I would call "riding my rear" is so rampant in traffic these days that if cities, counties or states were to ticket drivers for it, those entities would be raking in the cash hand over fist.

I have been pulled over for following to close. So, it does happen in my experience.

Who knows what to believe anymore. I do not believe there is any fact checking going on in the press covering this anymore.

An Indiana State Police spokesman told Fox News Digital that he could not find evidence of any such encounters.

"We have examined records and do not find any record of any traffic stops or any interactions involving Bryan Kohberger, his father or any Kohberger," Sgt. Glen Fifield said Monday.

Some possibilities:

Maybe they were stopped by County Sheriff's deputies or even city police rather than Indiana State Police, thus the stops are not in the ISP database, or maybe they were actually pulled over in Illinois (or elsewhere) rather than Indiana and some one accidently said or wrote Indiana. So many possible glitches in factual reporting... MOO

So Apparently BK was a teacher’s assistant known to grade papers very harshly according to most students interviewed. However, many students said in the weeks leading up to the murder and the weeks after the murder he started giving all students on their papers perfect 100 scores. One student interviewed seemed perplexed as to why. However, looking back the student says I guess he was giving all those 100 scores to students because he was to preoccupied with other things to fully read, analyze, and grade the papers.

On the side of the road. Frat house parties around the corner would have involved cars parked on the side of the road, so not entirely unusual in the neighbourhood.

I think he parked on the side of the road near the back lane behind the house, 20 minutes for the murders and back on the road ... suggesting that he had been there before ... to know about the back-lane patio entrance.

I would think that they have been honest that they started surveillance 4 days before the arrest. The sheer person power to drive and surveil over the course of a 2500 mile car trip would be outrageous. Could they have been keeping states alerted sure but they would have no idea where they would be-- highway, toll way, secondary roads at any given moment Plus, the possibility of a leak would be to great to span that many states.

I could see it might be possible that about the time they were in Indiana that some evidence or link to him came in which might have caused LE to want to check on him. But, I can't really imagine that this was case. Again, somebody would tell their spouse or a friend and it would get out.

Just running it through in my mind...

This is a story told yesterday by Andrew McCabe about how the FBI were able to surveil:

Appearing on CNN on Saturday, Andrew McCabe, who served as a deputy director for the FBI from 2016 to 2018, explained how agents were able to delicately surveil the suspect over the past several weeks. As he explained, Kohberger was on the "radar" of investigators before he left Idaho for Pennsylvania, allowing agents to track him from the beginning.

"It's an incredibly complicated, well-choreographed ballet, if I may, of surveillance efforts that would cross multiple FBI field divisions," McCabe said. "Would involve multiple surveillance teams who were following him in certain areas and handing him off to new teams."

McCabe also explained that, once in Pennsylvania, the surveillance efforts surrounding Kohberger needed further care and finesse, so as not to stand out to residents...
