here's ' Johnny Law' ( ex cop ) explaining the features of this house which might make it a good target for a perp

' the things that stand out, which would help a perpetrator'
at 12mins 28 secs at Law & Crime channel

tbh it's nothing we haven't already heard from week 1 but in case anyone wants to see a new clip

Let's for the sake of argument say that the carnage was kept inside the rooms. Or even most of it. What would happen if the downstairs roommates tried to contact E, X K or M and got no response? They might stand outside the door and call or text. still getting no response, but hearing a phone ringing or pinging, they might try the other person in that room. If still no response, but could hear ringing pinging, they might try another roommate without going upstairs, maybe hear ringing pinging. If no response, would you: Try to open the door having absolutely NO IDEA what you will find (including two people engaged in sex) when NO ONE IN THE HOUSE IS ANSWERING THEIR PHONE? That would give me pause. And depending on the personality type of the person having pause, they might contact some moral support, maybe to get a consensus on what to do. And if all the friends had pause to open the door, call 911.

Imagine the above with even a little bit of blood somewhere.

There are a LOT of people who would call moral support before contacting 911. Not weird. There are a LOT of people who would be too afraid to go into a closed room where no one was answering. Not weird. If 911 was told the person or person's behind the closed door is not responding to calls and texts and knocks on the door, that is unresponsive. Not weird. Someone else using the roommates phone? Not everyone is good at emergency calls so not weird unless they don't have a phone of their own in their possession (now these days, that's weird). I say this because I was in a car of 15 year old girls when we spotted a forest fire. My D's phone had no service, but one of her friends did but she did not want to call 911. My D did it on her friend's phone. It's just not weird.

The 911 phone call has nothing weird about it. It all makes sense. Could there be more information that can be gleaned from the call, how it was made, what was said, etc. Probably. But it's really not odd at all. JMO, as always.

It's a small town in Idaho. There's probably plenty of no security houses. I hardly think 4 people were killed just because there were no cameras etc.
This wasn't a random killing, far from it.

MOO.
IMO the lack of security at the house and the playful, carefree nature of the roommates had a lot to do with the murders. This person had been watching and observing for quite some time. He knew when they went to sleep. Maybe they actually never locked their bedroom doors, and the killer knew it, and purposely locked them to leave a signature.

i just don't think that LE would word it like this if that's the case.
"On November 13th, the surviving roommates summoned friends to the residence because they believed one of the second-floor victims had passed out and was not waking up. At 11:58 a.m., a 911 call requested aid for an unconscious person."

IMO, What if the other roommate was hysterical and called 911 but couldn't talk legibly and some passerby/friends happen to hear the commotion and talk to the 911 operator for her, moo

Do we know who took this picture?
Yes, the picture was taken at the Taylor St. Apartments across the street from the house, on the side that fronts Taylor Street. If you go on Google Street View, you can see clearly where it was taken.

It was taken by a sorority sister/friend (female) who posted similar photos from the photo shoot. If you dig around on social media, and look at who was tagged and go to their pages, you can see who else was there and who took the photo.

That is not true. The DA is on scene and talking to case investigators everyday. There are many videos of him walking in and out of the police station and/or the crime scene essentially everyday. One was on Thanksgiving Day if I recall. He is in charge of reviewing evidence, chain of custody, and is a primary actor in what information can and cannot be disclosed to the public. He has to be in order to facilitate an eventual prosecution. That he clarified that it wasn't an individual targeted but rather the house in general was no accident, slip, or miscommunication, and is a profound change in terms of what the public now knows and sadly, what it suggests.

My opinion.

Even if true, that doesn't change the fact that we're getting 3rd hand (at best!) information. Brian was paraphrasing what the DA said, not relaying a direct quote, and the DA was probably doing the same.

Also, LE said they have evidence that this was a targeted attack. This is why they don't believe there's a heightened risk for the community. So it does not make sense for the physical location to be a target. First off, what exactly would evidence of that even look like? And secondly, why wouldn't LE be more concerned about targets to other properties?

I suspect one could imagine plausible scenarios to explain why the house was targeted, but the simple reality is it's extremely unlikely.

Agree wholeheartedly. If this is true, then they really jumped the gun early on by making it seem like this crime was an isolated incident or a crime of passion..blah..blah.. and there was no reason to worry. My first impression was that they meant someone in the house was linked to the killer, but now this reporter reveals the prosecutor told him that no evidence has been developed that any of the victims were specifically targeted. Thank goodness the FBI was asked to step in...lol
All of the contradictions from LE are confusing and disappointing. The case is going around in circles.

However, imo LE don’t appear too interested in E and X’s timeline.
MOO.

We have K&Ms timeline because K's sister made it public. The food truck video also made that information very accessible to the "public".

I believe LE knows more about X&E and feel it would be counterproductive to release that information to the public.

For some reason this makes me really sad (as does everything about this whole thing) - the girls/E parked those cars there, when they were alive and well and everything was normal. They put them right there in those spots, and moving them just seems so final. :(
Yes…..like it’s over. That it is the last step in the process…final…we won’t be seeing the cars again or the house Ifs it any consolation, I think LE is going to solve this soon. It was so very tragic and un-necessary-all of it

Local residents have said it was common to not lock doors there. The older couple whose dog was recently brutally killed said that after that happened to their dog they began locking their doors. They hadn’t previously locked their doors in all the decades that they lived there. I have no idea if the victims’ doors were locked or not but it sounds like residents felt like it was a fairly safe place.

JMO brian entin is actually a really great reporter and was very boots on the ground during the whole gabby petito investigation. i think it's entirely possible for "they just think the house in general was targeted" could be a way to dispel the questions of which victim was targeted and were they more brutalized than the next.
Maybe house was targeted because of how the house was situated. Dark, access to scope out from parking lot above, maybe near where perp lived so he felt comfortable? Good opportunity for perp to act out his killing fantasy in general.

Can you please provide a reliable/credible source that says one of the roommates fainted or had a medical condition that made them "unresponsive"??? LE is stating that the call was about a second-floor victim??
Is there a credible/reliable source that a roommate fainted?

Thank You!

On November 13th, the surviving roommates summoned friends to the residence because they believed one of the second-floor victims had passed out and was not waking up. At 11:58 a.m., a 911 call requested aid for an unconscious person. The call was made from one of the surviving roommates’ cell phones inside the residence. Multiple people talked with the 911 dispatcher before Moscow Police arrived at the location. Officers entered the residence and found two victims on the second floor and two victims on the third floor
If you read back, you'll see that I clearly indicated this was my theory largely based on the video from the Comms Director where it appears he may have contradicted this report that you've linked here. I never once stated it as fact.

Thank you.

nobody thinks that the perp wanted to murder a house....
