Regarding the incorrect report earlier stating that DeOrr Jr. had been found..the similarities are strange and likely just due to coincicidence plus had journalism. It also reminded me of false reports put out by LE to draw out a suspect(s). I don't know if that is the case here, but it is interesting. Very rarily used... http://archive.coloradoan.com/artic...hics-planting-false-stories-draw-out-suspects

I kind of wondered that myself, although I can't imagine investigators going to such lengths in this case. Hypothetically, it would be interesting to see the reaction of a person if he/she was suspected of knowing something about what happened to Deorr, though... because if someone knew what happened to him, he/she would certainly be surprised to hear he was found in Minnesota...

Sorry I wasn't clear in my question.

Some states will prosecute a case if they have enough evidence against somebody they feel killed another.

Other state are hesitant to prosecute a case with no body. Texas for instance.

This is some interesting reading.

And then this case.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_conviction_without_a_body

And then there is this down in Texas.

Thanks for the explanation. I thought that might be what you were asking but wondered how that question pertained to THIS case so I figured that must not be what you were asking.

I think it would absolutely hinder an investigation. If the parents are truly innocent, but they lawyer up, then clam up, and refuse poly's, refuse to face to face interviews, refuse to allow LE access to homes/cars, then LE cannot clear them immediately. And that totally hinders the investigation from moving forward and finding other possibilities. JMO

Definitely. I am sure we can all think of a case where one or more parents did that. Julia Biryukova (Sky Metalwala's mother) comes to mind. Sky's Dad, the police and the public will likely never know what happened to little Sky. Of course, I don't think any people believe Julia is innocent either, or very few.

I would poly them in my office and then decide what advice to give them vis-a-vis cooperation. Been there, done that.

However, if I were a lay person, I would seek counsel.

Just my opinion, yours may differ.

I have no problem with the age difference.
We know more about him than what we saw in that interview.
No one forced him to open the door and go on camera.
Maybe he's a fine companion for ggp.
He's not someone I would want around my children.

Can someone please post a link to this infamous video?

Peeking out of lurkdom to ask a question ...

In the first couple days after Deorr was reported missing, did LE make a statement in the media asking for anyone who was in the campground area, store area or passing by on the nearby highways between a certain time frame ( example.. 24 hours before and after Deorr was reported missing ) to contact LE ? Have the parents made that request ?

The answer to both your questions is no. The media did report some general "if you see this child, call the sheriff's office" pleas, but not specifically asking for people that were in the area at that time to reach out.

I don't think anything like that happened at first because it seemed like they were focused on search and rescue. And I haven't heard of them doing anything since then either, which I find odd (if they have looked for or interviewed witnesses, it has not been a public request). LE has continually stated they do not believe he was abducted or that foul play was involved so I guess that's why? The fish and game investigator who commented on the case (but isn't involved with the case) said there are cameras on highway 93, but it's unknown if they've been checked. The parents have not requested much of anything, other than a plea for a possible abductor to return their child and for people to stop making rumors on social media...

What if IR was really there to help assist with GGP? I don't understand why if IR and GGP were friends for a number of years that at least JM hadn't bumped into IR at GGP, DK might not have because maybe he didn't go to where GGP lived very often, but JM you would think would be a semi regular visitor,

I'm beginning to wonder if JM and DK were really away longer and farther from the site than what has been reported. GGP doesn't seem to have a great concept of time due to age and illness. We still do not know exactly where IR was at the time GGP was watching lil DeOrr and he vanished, IR could have been away from the site hiking or fishing. We don't know if before IR and GGP left the area if the vehicle that they were in was searched along with any rolled up tents, camper, back of truck, trunk of car, whatever they were taking out should have been searched. Why did IR want to know what GGP said, I've always been curious about this comment.

Does anyone remember when they were asked to leave the campsite, was it the same day as lil DeOrr vanished?

Sorry I don't know the answers to your questions but I thought I read earlier that JM was the caretaker of her GGP. I know she, her boyfriend and missing DeOrr live with the boyfriends father but for some reason I thought I read at the beginning she took care of GGP.

I am thinking more of a daytime job where she visited him a few times a week.

I too have wondered if they were away longer than first reported and perhaps that is what makes them look uncomfortable in the interview.

We don't really know much about the coming and going of anybody. Mostly SM rumors.

MOO

JMO, IMO, MOO, after trying to keep up with 6 threads,

deorr wasn't taken away by a wayward OCD remains-free non-rabid stealthy wild animal without a trace...

he was not abducted from what his own parents described as an isolated area (per DKsr) where there was no one around (per JM)

nor did he drown in a shallow reservoir barely three feet deep fed into by a creek searched by over 150 people...

not after one, maybe two hours as a toddler in clumsy cowboy boots so tired he was 'ready for a nap' left in front of a campfire (per DKsr) with two adults (per IR and hearsay from TC) without a sight...

and couldn't possibly, no matter how fast a two-year-old runs, could have travelled further than adults and german shepherds even FOUR hours out. been there, done that. I have three young boys. I'm an "older" mom and I'm still quicker.

stupid rabbit question, once again...aside from the cadaver/scent articles, has any one MSM article stated in fact that any dog (SAR or otherwise) picked up deorr's scent at or around the campsite? again, discard the "remains deposited in the reservoir" news...TIA!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhh, my thoughts exactly........... I think it would a great tactic!!!! ;)

There was a question asked a few days ago, that never got answered..... Im gonna re ask the question.... Does anyone know for fact, that he was even at campsite? Other than the 4 adults, did anyone at all see Deorr arrive at the camp ground? BTW this is not spec Im just asking a question, that has already been asked.

Not that we know. There was a woman at a store close to the campsite that said she saw a man with a boy in a truck at the store. The only thing disputed by DeOrr's father was the time. So it appears that might have been a sighting that DeOrr WAS in the area. MOO

I read something today that I believe was part of the parents' interview where the father said that store "sighting" had been cleared up and it wasn't them. Surely I'm not the only one who read that, am I? If that's the case and it's been cleared up that it wasn't Deorr and his father, no wonder we haven't heard any more about it, from anyone, including the woman from the store.

This is a good question, I am not exactly sure, but JM and DK were in IF on Monday 7/13 for the Interview with East Idaho News and the vigil that was held in IF later that evening. I have not seen anything that states exactly when any of the 4 adult campers left the camp site, maybe someone else remembers seeing something?
