The astounding differences in the videos of her in the police station and coming back after Charles was killed and her statements/smiling/"not a care in the world attitude" (especially no comforting to Tylee that her father has just been killed!!!!! at that time) is exemplary of such MOO.

Tylee perhaps didn't view Charles as her father. I wonder if she ever called him dad. Interestingly Colby now uses father when he describes him.

I don’t think CD believes his BS either - in his case, he used it to manipulate his family and as some weird pickup line to try and get his female followers to have an affair with him. I think with Lori he got himself in way too deep.

Chris Watts is reading scripture too. (When he’s not reading bedtime stories to his dead daughters that is. The ones he killed and stuffed in oil tanks.)

When word gets out a convicted monster is studying scripture in their cell, unless proven otherwise I’ll assume they’re doing it to soften jailors, the public and the parole board. Lori and Chad could [prison] tattoo scripture on their foreheads and it wouldn’t mean a damn thing to me.

BBM. It's sad when it takes a death for people to realize how good they had it. Not throwing shade at Colby because I firmly believe a lifetime of emotional abuse at the hands of a parent will do a number on you. I'm actually hopeful for him as he's young and can make the necessary break and start to heal. Jmo

Watching Oxygen now. There are some statements made that I find interesting, IMO some of those were not confirmed by MSM up till now:
- Lori becomes obsessed with CD's books as early as in 2014 (NE, 7:21 min), meets CD on websites and they start building a community together (NE, 8:25)
- TD knew about the affair and confronted CD about this right before her death (NG, 24:00)
- PD asked to conduct TD's autopsy, but CD said no (FBI, 24:20)
- Police makes case public on Dec 20, 2019 (we knew that but that's a confirmation once again)

They may have believed in the milder prophecies like a normal "end of times will come someday". But when it came to Zombies and specific end time dates, that is where I think even they themselves did not fully believe it.

I think they used those scary predictions as a way to scare and control others and even control each other.

Like Lori used it to help control CD to do what she needed and wanted (aka - "let me put my kids who have turned dark and against me in your backyard so they are out of the way forever"), and CD used it to help control Lori (aka - "your husband, your kids, and my wife are all an obstacle in the way for our pre-destined life together. We have always been destined to be together. It has been pre-written, so let it be done.").

JMO of course.

I wonder who told Tammy about the affair? It probably wasn't Charles because he had been dead for months when she confronted Chad. Maybe someone did see Lori and Chad out and about in Rexburg. Or Tammy found proof on Chad's (other) phone. She must have confided in someone before she was killed.

Having had the dubious honor of once accompanying a full-scale mythomaniac around the country on sales calls (they make terrific marketeers), I think it may be a mistake to think that Lori and Chad either believed the ooga-booga 24/7 or disbelieved it 24/7. After a while I could recognize when this guy was starting to turn on the charisma (mythomania and charisma often go together) and moving into "the zone" where he was believing, really, truly believing the line he was pitching. His sincerity was palpable, and would fool the most advanced technical or human lie detector. No deception, as they say in the business.

It's possible that something like this works with Chad and Lori, they like the ooga-booga for what it brings them but when they start pitching it they totally believe it. Then after a while they have so much emotionally invested in it that it becomes like a narcotic.

Politicians often follow the same pattern. Andy Griffin did a marvelous portrayal of such a person in the movie "A Face in the Crowd."

Just a thought.

She has expressed before she doesn’t like that and rarely will ever address that stuff anymore. Not entirely surprising, and I hope no ones gives me grief for mentioning this, but there seems to be multiple reasons that the grandparents and other remaining family do not get along with the Aunt at all. Kay has mentioned before the friction between them and even once expressed that she pleaded that the aunt wait until we had official word from any law enforcement officials (RE: discovery of the remains of JJ & Tylee) before mentioning it online. Unfortunately that didn’t happen & seemed to escalate tensions even further. Such a sad and tragic story filled with so much pain for all of the family members.
And I personally don’t always appreciate the tone & rhetoric NG uses, but so far this episode seems a bit toned down from other times I’ve heard her, which I appreciate. Just MOO. Thank you

Charles Vallow clearly worked with Lori to prevent Joe Ryan from seeing Tylee, when the courts said he could. I can see why Kay and Annie would have their own issues with their own brothers. But I think Joe was screwed badly by Lori and Charles. His life was destroyed, his daughter was "kidnapped" to Hawaii, and he died under mystery.

I personally believe that Annie was "convinced" by Lori that Joe hurt Tylee, as so many others were convinced of such.

Everybody has suffered under the web of Lori.

I now, when I enter WS, have learned when I log onto followed cases is to look to the RIGHT side when I wake up to see if the latest post is from @Niner ! I've missed some hearings and trials previously.. but now I know to look for such each day as you are the keeper of the data.

I’m very curious (and appreciative) of other’s opinions on details like this. What do you think, do people like Lori genuinely believe that JJ & Tylee did turn into zombies or is this more of just the belief they use as justification of their actions to others? I flip-flop between which I think, sometimes I think Lori genuinely believed that but other times I think she’s just pure evil and that was more of the facade to present to others while she just wanted to rid herself of the children.

My opinion only, and I am not a psychologist:

Chad spoke a certain language to Lori that re-activated a drama that she has been playing out her entire adult life.

"Zombies" was just another method to demonize others, in a way that she always has treated people she no longer had a use for.

She demonized husbands 2, 3 and 4 from what I can see. Tarred them with the very worst of accusations and set out to strip them of everything and see them suffer. A sadist I would say. My post about her divorce from husband no.2 (when Lori was 23) is here.

Perhaps it was the protracted fight with Joe Ryan and focus on destroying his life for so many years that was responsible for her long-ish marriage to Charles.


So I would say she already knew the technique, her next victims were just given a unique identifier when she got together with Chad.

A mooch through the timeline from 1st February 2019 up until the murders of the children shows numerous examples of Lori's calculated deceit and detachment from Charles, JJ and Tylee. She had always been an abusive mother to Tylee, IMO, with unproven accusations leveled against Joe Ryan.

Feb 2019 – CV is taking care of JJ but Lori refuses to return JJ’s medicine, clothing, i-pad and the service dog’s special collar. Lori also never contacts CV to ask about JJ’s wellbeing nor does she request parenting time. CV says this causes JJ emotional stress as his autism makes it difficult for him to understand the situation. JJ needs his medicine, his usual clothing, his i-pad with special apps on it that calm him down, and the dog’s collar so the dog can go wherever JJ goes (Divorce Documents, Fox10 Phoenix).

Re. divorce;
MG: “she says that he [CV] wants to get it but she does not want to, she doesn’t want to go through another divorce again.”

26 Feb 2019 – CV asked Banner Life to investigate LV for changing his PIN password to his $1 million policy account.

c. 25 – 29 Mar 2019 KW went to AZ to help CV pack up the house for his move to Houston. KW: “She just walked in and just started fussing at him and… I was like what the heck is wrong with her…he was sitting down and …she had her hands on her hips, “what are you doing, why are you moving, I can’t believe this, why are you keeping JJ from me?”

2 Apr 2019 10:07am – CV emailed his divorce attorney Taylor Larson

Subject matter: Lori.

‘Hey guys I felt I owed you this much at least. I'm now in Houston in our new home. I say our because Lori is coming after she finishes packing in AZ. Lots of forgiveness more misunderstandings and as I told TAYLOR, love always wins.

KW: “He happened to be doing a huge insurance commission check, and within less than a week when she got in Houston – I had access to one account and that’s where the commission went into – that money flew out of that account so quickly. Charles was asking me for passwords for everything cos I had changed all of that since he gave me management of the company money and so I had changed everything where she couldn’t access it but then he ended up giving her all the passwords back, he gave her the keys to the kingdom once again. That money was gone in no time.”

MG speaks to Dateline (ep3. Jun 2020) about LV going to Houston:-
MG: “When she first went to Texas I’m like ‘why are you going to Texas, you’re trying to run from him?’ She goes ‘I was told by the Lord I need to get his finances in order’.”
