Marriage records and the death investigation of Alex Cox tell us the name redacted is Zulema Pastenes. She was married to Alex for about 2 weeks before he died in her home on 12/12/19. The cause ruled natural.

CPD: Charles confronts Lori about letter she sent in his name asking Chad Daybell to visit AZ and help him write a book. Charles asks Lori to come clean about an affair w/ Chad or he would tell Chad’s wife Tammy.

More: Charles started talking to Lori and Alex’s brother about an intervention. The plan was to come to AZ and talk to Lori on 7/10/19. CPD says there is no clear communication between Chad and Lori to show he was directly involved in planning Charles’ death.

Alex and Lori let Charles lie there for at least 40 minutes before calling 911? Alex shot him again, while we was down? The amount of grief and anger I have right now is beyond any I believe I have felt towards a case in a long time.

Charles arrived at the Vallow home around 7:35AM on 7/11/19. Following the murder, Lori took CV’s rental car & phone at 7:49. Tylee & JJ were w/ her. LV & Tylee returned at 8:48. Alex did not call 911 until 8:32 to report shooting. PD believes he didn’t perform emergency aid.

Wow! Just reading the AZ affidavit and Z and Lori had communications re how CV was a dark spirit. It would appear Alex’s new wife/widow agreed that CV needed to go.

I’m even more convinced now that regardless of the Coroner’s findings to the contrary, AC’s death wasn’t by natural causes. Or should I say the natural causes that killed him didn’t occur naturally.

100% agree. I am even wondering whether it was actually Lori that shot Charles - or at least fired one shot?

I am glad they have an ongoing case in another state because the release of this is pretty sloppy. Redactions removing some names but not relationships, so one can CLEARLY discern who is redacted, especially for individuals who remained uncharged and/or have use immunity agreements....did the police rush to release this or did they want to give the attorneys of Summer, Zulema, Janis, Melani and others stuff they could argue about such public stuff concerning their clients being released and not redacted properly....? it is disappointing when you know how many eyes are watching this case and that small details can and do matter

Instead of calling 911 right away, during the estimated 43 minutes Charles laid dying on the floor - Alex called Lori. PD: His mission on this earth was to protect his sister.

Alex did a walk-through with police, saying her shot CV 2x in the chest. CPD: Autopsy report discovered one of these shots were not consistent w/ statement. The angle indicated CV was laying down when 2nd shot was fired. The text messages below follow the murder… disturbing.

And, I'll add that several others "knew" the scheme Chad and Lori were brewing but failed to call them out and instead preened their feathers.

Chandler PD referring to Mormon doctrine for context. Interviews w/ witnesses revealed system of dark spirits & zombies. Allegedly, Lori & Chad were given instructions for missions to prepare for 2nd coming of Christ. LV believed CV wanted her killed for her life insurance $.
