Alex was alone with Stacey, while the entire family went to Hawaii.

I am totally convinced (moo moo) that Alex was advised on how to take care of Stacey. To casually use her credit cards when she just died is calculation, not mourning.

Calculation?
Mourning?
Opportunity?

When my father in law laid in the dining room in a hospital bed dying, one of his grandchildren stole a ridiculous amount of cash from his bedroom. I could still strangle the kid.

It was opportunity. And when your family covers up your rubbish because "let's keep an appearance of being a stellar family" you take that as permission when the "opportunity" arises again.

It wouldn't surprise me if Alex saw the opportunity. The Cox family seems to be huge on denial and covering up. I call that enabling.

Anyway, another perspective.

Do we even know if she has retained a lawyer? By her own words, speaking to Keith Morrison, she didn’t “need” an attorney because she was “telling the truth” and “God was on her side”. Oy vey. And do we have an actual, verifiable account of when and where she was served? I’ve heard she was served papers in the courthouse steps as she was leaving the GJ, and also of her “tantrum” being served at the hotel. Which one is it? Frankly, NO witness that they can call from this inner ring is going to come across as intelligent and competent. The fact that no one, including LVD’s attorney can speak or write in intelligible sentences speaks volumes to me. MOO
Here’s an article about her being served Key witness served lengthy subpoena by Lori Daybell's attorney - East Idaho News

Your statements parallel my thinking all along....

I really do think the Cox family dynamic should be on trial too.

What has ALWAYS made me so curious is............ how did Lori keep marrying "unacceptable" men though wrapped up in the Cox "Family" dynamic. NONE were LDS.... which I find very very strange, when she was supposedly so devout.

Are the Cox family members actually still members of the LDS church? SS or the parents? Were they ever real members or just culturely LDS or claimed LDS? Charles converted for Lori. That would not be frowned upon but applauded.

Huh. I’ve never thought greedy narcissism could be interpreted as being devout . . .

nhmemorymaker, I’m with you.

Marriage to non-LDS men seemed to be her mo, until Chad came along with his total adoration and promises. I think he fed the “I’m All That” inherent in Lori, and away they went, leaving nothing but pain and destruction in their wake. She taught him how she used the “death benefit,” all right, and he put his own “light and dark” spin on it.

I think every death of anyone she knew should be examined and re-examined, no matter how “natural” the death was.

Poor Charles. He never had a chance once the evil ones targeted him. Thank goodness something he knew or suspected made him change the beneficiary on his life insurance. I get much joy (if any can be had from this case) from imagining Lori’s reaction when she found out she was no longer beneficiary on his policy.

I'm still wondering how many followers they have. Also how many are in their close circle.

I'm still thinking that AC was responsible for his sisters death. No links, no proof. JMO

Melanie's father tried to keep her away from the Cox family because she would be told that her mother lost her life due to not eating and not using her insulin. Where's I feel that her father was trying to protect her from the truth. JMO.

I think it was the other way around. The Coxes wouldn't acknowledge the truth that eating disorder combined with diabetes was an issue. MBP's father realized that living with her mother was harming his daughter. (IMO)

It is strange that none of her former husbands were LDS except CV who converted. IMO, LV likely had mental issues for years which is why each marriage failed.

And still enabling right up until the bodies were found.

I know Lori claims to be devout and others have vouched for it as well. I have a really hard time accepting that. Devout people don’t scam and murder their way through life.

The fathers who acted to remove their children from the family clutches deserve a lot of credit. Two of them died trying and if not for Alex’s lousy aim, BB would be dead too.

Yes, I believe I have it the wrong way round. Sorry.

BBM. Amen. In spades.

Did LVD ever have a temple recommend? She doesn't dress like someone who wears temple garments. Once again, the "cherry pick" religion. Pick and choose what you want...I did notice in pictures of Tammy Daybell that she did dress modestly, definitely looked temple garments under her clothing.

According to her nephew ZC who used to live with her and Charles, she spent a lot of the time at the temple and even worked there on Thursdays. Months before she bragged in her (recorded) testimony that she persuaded her Bishop to give her a temple recommend.

There's also a part about her no longer needing to wear garments in the infamous zombie letter.
