Maybe we'll find out at trial that LV's been spying on a whole lot of stuff we might never have guessed? Maybe she was planning to get back at someone at the school that overheard something from JJ? Speculating here.

ITA, IMO, this was normal behavior for her. She hacked into email accounts of Charles. We know she was snooping on his phone. She went online to try to change his life insurance beneficiary. She used his Amazon account to buy wedding rings. She used Tylee's venmo account to send CR money. I think she did this to everyone close to her. This is probably why Tylee didn't have much of a social media presence.

Right, and Chad came up with the idiotic light/dark point scale, too.

But I’m not sure who came up with the “therefore they had to go” portion. I assume that was all Lori, who roped in Alex.

I think Chad got an idea of who Lori liked/disliked, then made up the dumb scale stuff to flatter her into thinking god approved of her opinions...and then Lori took it from there.

If that’s true, Lori brought murder into the equation. And Chad unwittingly supplied the justification for the murder.

who knows though...
The light/dark scale was just the first step and wasn't even entirely fixed. The zombie stage was the point of no return.

ok i had a quick look between the photos of the "orange thing" and the photo of the bag

if someone can find the black parts of the bag on the "orange thing" you might have a match

otherwise i can't find it on the photos on posters site they posted with the higher res photos

the bag looks to have a black bottom to it as well, the only thing i can thing of is we are looking at the top maybe?

someone better than me can probably spot the differences and mark them up
Just a guess as a seamstress, but look at the size of the bag compared to the weapon, then look at the orange fabric at the site with the size of the 5 gal buckets. Looks like too much fabric to me. JMO

I feel for Larry and Kay and those who will witness in court and who are going to have to travel again and again and again.. a la the Arias case. Both sides will have psych evals on both I would think... hmmm, who were the players in the Arias case for example to juxatapose here? And delay, delay, and delay.

A la Jodi case which had LDS etc. religious undertones... Richard Samuels testified that Arias suffered from acute stress disorder, dissociative amnesia etc. which developed into post-traumatic stress disorder. Samuels said he came to this conclusion after reviewing evidence in the case, examining Arias, and administering a test to diagnose PTSD. Psychologist Janeen DeMarte debunked Richard Samuels tests. And then we had.... domestic abuse specialist Alyce LaViolette who presented a talk entitled “Was Snow White a Battered Woman?”

This is gonna be lots of experts and delays... MOO

What are the mental health and personality factors at work in this case? A professional analysis of the Lori Vallow/Chad Daybell case by Dr. Todd Grande:

Has this it been posted? Seems relevant to this discussion...I found it to be informative and a little funny too.

Or, if the deceased had some particular piece of jewelry or something else that would survive being buried for months, you could make a preliminary identification based upon that.

Oh, and yeah... there is DNA. As we know from the case where the little girl went missing and was found after cousin sleeping overnight at the home... there is a fast test that can be done by FBI that only takes hours... as was done in that case.

Dental records, DNA, etc... why think zebras or that a family member needed to ID a decomposed corpse? ?

BBM. It is part of Chad's doctrine. People become zombies when an evil entity pushes their spirit out of their body. This is irreversible. The spirit is in limbo until the body is destroyed (killed) and only then it can progress to the next life (they believed in multiple mortal lives).

I agree... light/dark, zombie, etc. was part of the Chad doctrine. But, was it Chad or Lori that began the physical steps to remove these zombies/dark beings from this earth. Which of them took the first steps in actually murdering (or leading others to murder).

If you understand right from wrong, you can feel guilt. If you feel guilt, you hide evidence.

Therein lies their justification for murdering and egregiously destroying children's corpse(s)?
Sorry indi - not directed at you but I am beyond flabbergasted that anyone would be willing to sign up for this crap in any way. I can just imagine them sitting around their big firepit having fireside chat with their following (144k) asking people to raise their hands to join in.
I think the destroying part here was intended to decrease the odds of getting caught. Killing their victims would suffice. I wonder if Lori sees Tylee and JJ moving on to the next life and feels zero guilt about murdering them. Maybe Chad feels the same way about Tammy.

I don’t know how to link it, but there’s a pic in thread 38, page 11, post 218 posted by vislaw of a pic with two tents over dig site #1 with covers being put up on the sides of the tents. There’s no orange bag, but a lot more dirt, so my assumption is that the orange bag has already been removed and the tents are now up to hide the removal of the other set of remains. I can’t explain the second dig site by the pond... but I haven’t seen any similar pics of it with the discrete covering of the sides of the tent. The interest appears to be around site#1, so I think both bodies were in one grave. I also can’t see Chad having the time or opportunity to dig two separate graves with family living in that house. Since one of the remains was concealed in an “egregious” manner, I just can’t see him being respectful enough to dig two separate graves for those children. I suspect he buried Tylee first, then when J.J. was murdered, he quickly dug into that same spot and put J.J.’s remains on top of Tylee’s. The orange bag suggests that he may have tried to burn the remains first, and when that didn’t work, he quickly went to Plan B and dug into Tylee’s grave - which would have been relatively easy with the dirt being recently placed - and disposed of JJ’s remains before he got caught. MOO

Perhaps Body #2 was already buried over by the tree, and then CD moved it to the area where Body #1 was found after he came up with the brilliant idea of putting a manufactured home on the spot. So, there may have been artifacts at various dig spots, but the bodies ended up in more or less the same location.

So, how about this: the orange bag at the dig site also has a silver (or something) bottom. I'm thinking it's sitting on top of a silver space blanket (or some such). The orange bag has split on the bottom, and the contents are now on both the silver space blanket and wrapped by the bag.
This also means that the scale of the orange bag is likely distorted....it is split open and misshapen, the underneath is a sheet of something else entirely. If this thought works, trying to use the bucket as a measuring tool to identify the bag as "too big to be the orange bag in AZ video" may be misleading.
However, the length of the black handle may also speak to the size of the bag; it doesn't seem to have fragmented like the rest of the bag.
Random thoughts....

I share an Amazon account with someone and I can see all their product searches. And we know that Kay could log into and see the history, so I'm sure that LE can see even more? MOO

Ah! This orange slumber bag stuff could be a missing piece of my brain on this topic on: why the heck the families were notified before an autopsy was performed?

Alright, let's discuss the forensic work done at the scene and, specifically, the images of what appear to be human remains. Out of respect for members and for convenience, I have uploaded images with annotations on our server. WARNING: don't click the link if you find the topic unsettling. The images are not terribly graphic, but I do know some people are particularly sensitive. Here's the link. PASSWORD IS: visual

Great job @vislaw! I'm glad you gave us amateurs' ideas a second chance because your expertise applied to these photos is just awesome. This is why I ♡ WS!

Now I have the gross thought that one of the bodies was damaged severely so the soul couldn't make it to a good afterlife. This would be the ultimate act of vengeance on someone who was contrary to LV.

I was thinking about this the other day. None of the family will support her if she puts it on Alex either. :)
They might. Alex is gone: they don't have to answer to him if they throw him under the bus. And, they might be more afraid of LV, as well as defensive about participating in the crime.

I am on a cell and can’t pull up side by side pics to compare. I wonder if degraded it could be this bag. Or part of a set.
I’m sure someone will be able to do a comparison. It’s certainly beyond my scope. Even if it weren’t 4:05am here and I had the energy to get off the couch and get my laptop lol
Interesting.
Found this bag on Amazon, hard to tell with the quality of the photo.

it is made of Polyester and you can get tarps, beach blankets and any number of hunters items in orange as that is a safety color for hunters.

I've actually been looking into BYU-I's admissions standards. I've found nothing restricting admission to over 18. In fact, you can be admitted and take classes as a high school student apparently. If there is a rule against admission before age 18, please post a link!

There are a bunch of links in the thread where we discussed this in depth. My suggestion is to review, IIRC it's probably in the threads from a month ago JMO. I know a lot of people are trying to catch up
