When things come down to the waiting game like they have in this case my brain starts to explore all scenarios, realistic or not... here's the newest line of thought, feel free to disprove it because I would hate to think it's a possibility.

Could the late AC have done something to these kids as a revenge towards Lori after the blowout they had? If he did something awful to them and Lori knew, I wonder if she would be too fearful/prideful to contact authorities about it out of fear of being discovered as far as any fault she has for the deaths of her ex-husbands and the attempt at Brandon's life. I wonder if her ego would be big enough to feel that turning a blind eye would be the better option? I know it's a wild idea but.... I dunno, this whole thing is already so unbelievable. All MOO.

ETA I think that maybe this could be a reason for AC's death, whether it be suicide or foul play....

If he did, why didn't Lori tell the cops that he did it? Why didn't she immediately throw him under the bus? She would have no reason to cover up the kid's death and protect Alex, especially since he is dead.

I will throw out the hope as well (but I personally don't believe it will be true) - maybe the attorney is out of the office picking up the kids to deliver them to the court. What a relief it would be if these kids really are safe and alive.

I know that the family has been made aware of the results of Tammy's autopsy. I do wonder if the police feel any egg on their face for not performing an autopsy when she died at home with no long-term illness. I still honestly thought that a death at home of a younger person would always warrant an autopsy.

I also wonder if the police feel any regret not doing a better job investigating the death of Charles. Why didn't his divorce attorney talk to the police regarding his concerns about Lori killing him and request a deeper investigation prior to all of this other nightmare that began after Chad and Lori married?

Still no sign of mother or missing Rexburg kids | East Idaho News

REXBURG — More than a dozen media organizations descended into Rexburg Thursday for an event, which appears increasingly unlikely to happen.
Local and national media are awaiting a 5 p.m. Thursday deadline that was given to Lori (Vallow) Daybell by authorities to return her children to Rexburg Police Department or Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. If she doesn’t she may be found in contempt of court.

So far, there is no indication that the children, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan are in Rexburg. Additionally, multiple sources in Kauai, Hawaii have told EastIdahoNews.com that Lori Daybell, and her new husband Chad, were seen on the island last night.

Kay and Larry Woodcock have arrived in Rexburg and will be holding a news conference at 5 p.m. The Woodcocks are the biological grandparents of Joshua, who was adopted by Kay’s brother, Charles Vallow. Charles was previously married to Lori Vallow Daybell. Police are calling Chad and Lori persons of interest in connection with the children’s disappearance.

Joshua and Tylee were last seen in September and police have said Lori Daybell either knows where the kids are or what happened to them. Police say the Daybells have continually lied about the kids’ whereabouts and refuse to cooperate.

Both the Rexburg Police and the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office have said they will not be releasing a statement Thursday. Lori Daybell was told by a judge to return the children to Rexburg through a child protection order, which is sealed from the public. By law, the prosecutor can’t release more information than what has already been released without a judge’s permission.

I also happen to feel after researching on my own that this person is related somehow in all of this...AND probably has ties to Hawaii or Kauai too

Julie for sure had a connection to Chad and has done a video claiming his innocence already. She is one wacky-doodle for sure! However, I have yet to believe that she is connected to the disappearance of the kids. I think her video was her attempt to assert herself and get more clicks even though Chad has basically cut her out of his life in the last year. Probably since he met and started cohorting around with Lori,

Or perhaps they told him flat out they can't (or won't) produce the children, so he is in Hawaii to be there when/if they are arrested to represent them.
Maybe he is escorting the kids to Hawaii. Maybe Lori hopes that appearing in the media with the kids and her attorney will satisfy Iowa. I doubt if it would satisfy the Woodcocks though. It sure would be easier for Lori than to have to report to snowy Iowa.

I think most people are confused at the ability of police to "pull" someone in for questioning. After following WS for years, I am appalled at the many times an obvious suspect doesn't get questioned. Josh Powell, Julie Metalwala, Elizabeth Johnson... The list could go on and on with people that to the outside seem very dubious and guilty, but the police don't even question. Talking to JJ and Tylee about Charle's death seems like a no-brainer. But, the police didn't question two clear witnesses to the event.

Do you know the family? LE is denying the autopsy is in. Jmo

I don't think it's really their lane to decide whether or not that's done. It seems it should be someone's though, the coroner I guess. 49 year olds do not simply die "naturally" without disease or injury. I'm surprised her family didn't request it but it may they didn't have that power since she was married.

Tylee was questioned. We know that for sure. We have not heard if JJ was.

This is all just madness. The 5 day wait, the media descending on Rexburg. This build up to what? Why on earth has LE let it get this far? What on earth are Chad and Lori thinking? How can both their families stay silent on this circus? Ugggggh! Just bring the kids to see their grandparents and call it a day already. I’m going nuts!
