That's what the article says! It's almost laughable since she doesn't seem to quite fit the "profile" of somebody who would be on a "face-book". :D I don't have one so no way of me checking!

I have a Facebook account but honestly, I couldn't bring myself to try and find hers. I felt she was involved in his death from the beginning and couldn't stand the sight of her after the first press conference.

I read things such as "Frontier Justice" and "razor blades and salt"...One person said if they win the powerball tonight they will pay Melissa's bail, therefore no trial necessary.

(I apologize in advance if this offends anyone, I'm just quoting what the locals there are saying)
I kind of thought that might be the general feeling. MOO

Did anyone else read the sob story in the Statesman this morning, about how Melissa has been looking for the unconditional love she felt as a child? Makes me sick. Where was HER unconditional love for her children?

I read it and was kind of surprised something like that would even be in the article considering the charges she's facing. This isn't about her ~ it's about her son who she is charged with killing! MOO

Rhyme yes I did read that article. Interesting the different points of view. If she was truly looking for unconditional love then why did she keep cheating on the men who claimed to have loved her? Unreal. The woman was a real piece of work IMO. And I still can't understand the whole thing about how Robert's father was dating Trish but then ended up with Melissa and she got pregnant. What the heck if the sister will betray her sister and the boyfriend will betray his girlfriend do either one of them think that it won't happen again? I'm not sure I feel like we have heard the end of the arrests. I think we will see alot of finger pointing....I don't like the stolen car, I don't like the disturbed area in the yard, I don't like the way Trish used this as her personal crusade and I think that the list could grow. When I first saw Trish the hinkey went up. We are going racing? Racing 3 days after Robert is identified? Time will tell but I wouldn't put it past either of them to try to take a few down with them.

I honestly do not believe DE caused all of the injuries to this child. I can see the hate in this woman's eyes. She hurt him too.
I TOTALLY agree. Each time I saw her on TV she gave me the same impression, that she's a coldhearted *advertiser censored*. Afraid of DE??? Baloney! I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she delivered the heaviest blows or instigated the beatings and drew sadistic pleasure from hearing his poor cries. All that I've seen and read have led me to this conclusion. I pray they both burn. :furious:

I was surprised as well

Believe me, no one is offended!

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but I'm wondering if MJ isn't mildly retarded. Not trying to be offensive but I see a lot of similarities to a family member of mine. Especially in the category of men and lying. I believe the one ex said everything that comes out of her mouth is a lie. And honestly, a person CAN get to 7th grade without learning how to read. Teachers can suggest holding a child back, but they could not force a parent to agree to it--at least not when my kids were in school. I'm sure things are different now. And some parents would not accept that their child had learning disabilities and would not let the school hold them back or get special help. I don't know what this family is like, but they don't seem very close at all. She could have slid by with Trish doing her homework or whatever until Trish started going to high school. She can probably read and write some, but to understand a legal document like that would probably be impossible for her. JMO

This is an insult to mildly retarded people.

OOPS one other thing I found strange about the baby's injury. I may be crazy, but I don't remember burping a child anymore at 9 months old. Course a lot of things have changed since my kids were born--but I have grandkids and that just seems a little old for burping.

I've been thinking it's possible that what Melissa believed to be unconditional love as a child was really a case of her parents or parent not giving a damn and letting her run wild to do whatever she pleased. So any trouble she got into wasn't even given a second thought. I don't know, maybe I'm over thinking this, but the entire article just made no sense to me.

I don't care wether she ran the streets as a child and her mother never told her she loved her. I don't care if her parents abused her. I also don't care if she can't read. None of those give her the right to abuse and kill her own child. She is what she is because she chose to be that way. There are many people who lived through abuse as a child, and there are many who felt their mom didn't love them, but they didn't go out and abuse their children and kill one of them.

I have absolutely NO sympathy for this woman. She deserves more time than the BF as she was his mother and should've protected him to her death!!

She is an embrassment to all mothers, and abuse survivors.

I will agree that a person with a 7th grade education probably couldn't understand a legal document or grand jury indictment, however that wouldn't qualify as "illiterate". Having a Facebook account and holding down clerical jobs kind of tells me she can read and write. There's a difference ~ MOO

I completely agree with both you and jn.

OK I have deleted the post---I was not the one who originally said she was illiterate---it was in the article that AWC posted. I shall go back to lurking

I wasn't defending her at all or trying to make excuses for her, please don't think I was! I was just trying to figure out the point of that article, as I also have no sympathy for either one of them and cannot understand anyone who does.

I completely agree with you that she chose to be the horrible person she is there is NO excuse for what she has done. I also don't care to hear about her or her life, was just trying to understand that article. KWIM?

Hope so - 'cause I don't want to see an 'incompetent to stand trial' plea from the defense. There's no doubt she is more competent than any child she tortured!

Actually I agree with every single word you wrote here. Very well said.
