The 911 operator told her she could file the missing person report anytime, and, that he'd recommend, if she'd not heard anything within the next couple of hours, to definitely go ahead and file the report. Then, out of the blue, KJ's mother tells the 911 operator that she'll give it 24 hours. No one suggested that she wait 24 hours to file the report.

This is not the 911 operators fault whatsoever. I can't understand why some people are dead set on blaming everyone and their mother for kennekas death. It's baffling to me. It's like if it's not the friends fault, it's the hotel staffs fault, or LEs fault, and now the 911 operators fault.

Because maybe it's not a mystery. Maybe LE isn't saying anything bc there's nothing to say. I know you don't want to believe it, but it's highly possible there was nothing on the surveillance tapes to indicate anyone else was anywhere near kenneka, let alone that a crime was committed. Toxicology is going to take a while, so it makes sense they aren't making statements on the autopsy.

Also, kenneka is being laid to rest this weekend. It's possible LE is not saying anything because they don't want the protestors and activists to start crap right before/at/during services for kenneka.

With this case LE is damned if they do and damned if they don't. I can't blame them for not saying anything to the public. They have already said it is a death investigation - not murder investigation - so why is the public entitled to information on a young woman's death? JMO

I realize I may be obsessing about this but I find it sort of odd that there's been no obit. It's really none of my business but here, in my very small corner of the world, the obit precedes the funeral by at least three days.

I agree with you. I think the 911 operator really wanted to help. Can you imagine how many calls they get every day? This was a 19 year old adult who had been missing for a few hours at a HOTEL. I think he was perfectly reasonable to suggest waiting until 10 or 11 to take further action. He thought the girl was sleeping off her hangover, and I would have thought that too. If the mom would have said, "There's blood on the the ground by my car" or "She called me in distress and hung up suddenly", I'm sure his reaction would have been to send an officer immediately. But the information he was given did not indicate any crime had been committed.

I can't really weigh in on the obit situation. The people in my life who have died recently have been because of heroin so it's a different situation. Some of their obits were very open about the addiction, as if to spread the word about the epedemic, and others said they passed suddenly, with no mentions of the addiction struggle. I think obits are really personal and depend on the family. Fortunately I've never had to help write one, so I can't comment or criticize the lack of obit.

be confused and offered her a 3 4 to
four timeframe to enable a young lady that by that point point had not been seen for hours and people that were with her had decided to drive moms car home

Oh my goodness I would never drive a friends mothers car high back to her mother without her kid I would have to be looking for moms child until the sun came up

What is interesting is in the the big city of Chicago a big group of kids would drive 45 minutes to a hotel party knowing that they would be partaking of partying

The hotel has not tried to protect themselves by early on stating a staff member was summoned to the room of the complaints and immediately
directed all people to vacant the room and leave the property or LE will be arriving .

It is more baffling that right after the person that came the door and left they turned up the music again disrupting more guests

Maybe kenneka and her girlfriends were there from 130-3ish but how do you know how long others were there for and when people filtered in and out? Why wouldn't they get a room for such a short period of time anyway? It's not like they paid for it. It was fraud. Makes sense to go 40 min away to use a fraudulent credit card. Plus in a city, 40 min away is nothing. Try living in NY lol. 40 min can be a few miles. You really have it out for anyone and everyone that isn't kenneka.

Also FWIW countless times my friends and I have had security called on us in AC bc we were too loud while pregaming. Security comes and tells us to be quieter. We try but probably don't succeed as drinks keep flowing. We've never been kicked out of an AC casino hotel room, even when security had come to tell us to shut up and we still continued to be loud (not on purpose, it just happens). And is happened on MULTIPLE occasions. So security prob just did their job by knocking and telling them to be quieter. It doesn't mean security is "in on it" or to blame.

The only thing about her friends, is that I think they are in cya mode. That doesn't mean that I think they killed her or had anything to do with her ending up in the freezer. I do think there might be something that they'd rather not share so their timeline doesn't really add up. If they called KJ's mother at 3:00 am-ish to report that they couldn't find her, then by the time that KJ's mother called 911, at 7:15 a.m., it's very likely that KJ was already deceased. Even having access to the CCTV, it took 11 hours to search the hotel.

I agree. They are prob really scared to get in trouble. I'm assuming they were drinking and or doing drugs and are scared to get in trouble for it. I mean kennekas mom thought they were bowling, they prob went into panic mode when they had to call her and tell her kenneka was missing. I def think they are holding back details and that's why their stories don't add up. But I don't think it's bc they killed her or anything. They are 19 year old girls who messed up and are scared as hell. JMO

I'm so sorry. The Heroin epidemic has hit us here, too. When someone passes unexpectedly and there's been no known illness, we usually know, or someone has already known, that there was a hard drug problem. I've lost quite a few of my friends to the effects of long-term alcohol and/or hard drug addiction. The life span in our region is shorter than most and it seems to be shortening by the year. Our obits usually vary with the writer. I say usually three days because it gives family, and friends, enough time to arrange to come to visitation, or the funeral, (or both), if they wish. Then some people have to travel, and notify work if they're close-kin, or pallbearers.

Right the activists protesters and even KJs mom may have started crap. But LE may not want to feed into it at this time. I can't blame them. Any time they make a move they are criticized to beat the band... and bring on the protests. People question what's on surveillance so LE releases what they consider relevant. Cue the uproar and backlash. The YouTube videos showing "proof" that the tapes are altered and LE is hiding a conspiracy. They'd be foolish to keep feeding into all of this.

This makes me wonder why all of the early news stories said she was walking to the freezer through that kitchen and was never seen again. Did the media get it wrong, or is that what they were told by either the police or the hotel? And how did they pick which parts of the surveillance footage to release to the public? We know there is more footage. There is definitely video of her at the front desk, and there must be elevator and other hallway footage. Did they pick the clips that made her appear the most impaired, so that we could easily imagine her locking herself in the freezer? Are there hotel employees present in the video of her stumbling around the front desk? Did they ignore her, laugh at her, or worse? I wonder if there has been some spin put on this story to make it look like there was no one at fault but Keneeka.

I cut and paste a direct quote from one of the first press releases from LE that they acknowledged that they recreated video from what they believe to be her movements that night.

Most MSM articles with a timeline from that night state KJ sent a text message to her sister at 130am.

If it wasn't true I'm assuming they would have cleared that up by now? IMO

In the channel 5 interview she totally denied it maybe it was another sister I don't know but I would think one sister would talk to another when your sister is found..............

Her lawyers said in the press conference that the video that shows KJ walking in the kitchen is NOT WHERE SHE WAS FOUND. If you go back again to the interview with TH the reporter asks her where the freezer was if you listen to her directions and colors of doors she guides you into the unused Kitchen on lobby level (main level.) Someone also next to her said "oh it's in the basement right?" And LH responded with "No it's in the lobby."

Another point that makes me believe the kitchen is on lobby level (main level). KJ's uncle aka TM brother put up in YouTube the path in which TM and TH took to the kitchen that day to ID KJ..he's on the lobby level!!

I think we might be doing it all to linear - assuming that there was no up and down

pure speculation but if you were being bothered by some guys you might go up and then down and maybe up again

in addition the elevator having rear doors IMO is huge
