Also, if you want to follow local Chicago media twitters who have been covering this case at some level and/or cover breaking news and/or crime cases, here are some I've interacted with because they're also heavily involved in the scanning community with some faithful Chicago scanner updaters (which I realize that can't go 'upstairs' - but the two I'm alluding to will be easy to find from Peter, especially):

Chicagoland is probably the best city in terms of a plethora of reporters covering crime and missing cases because they're really trying to bring a face to the violence in the city.

While it's unfortunate, in cases like this is means stuff gets out more quickly than it might otherwise.

I know, for sure, that both Alex and Peter were covering GP when the child's remains were first found so I'm sure they'll be on this going forward.

And Alex has tweeted tonight to the Trib article that Rachel wrote tonight:

Anyway, they (and the two you'll figure out from Peter's twitter if you're interested in following scanner stuff) are good resources to remember for any Chicago area related cases or incidents. There are a few others, but these are my faves for those who like SM media sources!

No 2 year old is EVER silent, even if he wasn't paying attention to her or talking, he'd be making noise. I have no hope for this little one.

I disagree. I have a 2 year old. When I've put him on the phone with his Grandma, he listens and sits in complete silence.
 
But if his hair super short in early August, would it have grown long enough in just over a month to make those twisties?
 
I'm not sure. I think it's possible. We don't know how fast his hair grows.

I have a niece that has very short kinky curly hair that was cut really short at the beginning of the summer, it looked to be 1 1/2 long but when it was wet it was past her shoulders. I just saw her the other day and her hair dry and curly is at least 4-5" long. Her hair grows like a weed.

I agree some little ones will just listen on the phone while someone is talking to them.
 
I am hoping for a good outcome in this case, but if no one has come forward with Kyrian yet with the info. out there that he's missing it's not looking too good.
And it means that the baby doe that was found has not been identified yet, :(

I suppose all little ones are different. All the ones I knew would make little chirps even though they weren't trying to talk.
The point I was trying to make is that I got a sinking feeling when I read her say that she would just talk at him on the phone while he was silent. I found it weird that
she brought it up, almost like she was trying to explain/make an excuse for not reporting him missing weeks ago.
 
Wondering what the press conference will bring :(

I am also wondering would it be like the police to not release anymore details etc until either they confirm or deny that the baby found is this poor little boy?

I can completely understand the police not giving away information that they need to keep private etc... But if this baby really is still missing surly more details need to be realeased in order for the public to come forward.
 
I'm guessing the press conference will either be releasing new details about where Kyrian might be, or it will be confirming that the lagoon baby Doe is Kyrian :( I've got a bad feeling, feel sick to my stomach :(

I get that but this wasn't just "someone", this was Mommy. Supposedly she talked to him every day on the phone, wouldn't there be some sounds of excitement at least?
 
I want to know what they are gonna tell us in the presser but more then likely won't be able to watch or listen. So if anyone would like to post what they say I'd be very greatful :)
 
It seems that if they've confirmed that Kyrian is baby doe from the lagoon, then Chicago would be having a press conference too.

This is so confusing? He's not missing but mom says he's gone. What in the world?! Who are these friends she left him with? Is she outraged at the friends for taking/losing her baby? Did she HIRE these so called friends to kill her baby? I'm so confused!
 
I will try to listen and post notes from the presser today.
