Was wondering why you think it "highly unlikely" there are cameras around Stonegate Village? I answered your question but can't see that you came back to me on mine. I am also wondering how LE knew he took YY back to the apartment without cameras being there. If there are cameras, he would also presumably have been seen leaving the apartment too, after her death. MOO

There are no visible cameras at Stonegate Village. There is no security staff at Stonegate Village to monitor cameras if they had any. There is no need for security cameras. <modsnip> I live here and I know the community. One random kidnapping does not warrant cameras on every corner. We have apartment complexes that are gated and have security staff/cameras 24/7. It is a marketing gimmick and not a necessity. One of these apartment complexes is one of the more dangerous places to live in. A single gated entrance to an apartment complex is great security for drug dealers. LE only have one way in and can't simply drive up on an apartment unannounced.

Individuals often protect their own apartments with CCTV cameras, they are not designed to be highly visible, nor are they expensive any more.
I do not believe its possible to say there were no such cameras in any of those apartments without personally knowing each tenant.

Do you have links to back up any of these assertions? My search of CCTV systems returns some pretty expensive stuff.

I know what they cost because I have quite a few cctv cameras on my own home.
I dont need to link to common sense and factual information.
But, try walmart
https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/home-security-camera-systems
wireless, tiny miniscule even.. all v v cheap..

Actually, I was looking for any data that suggested that "Individuals often protect their own apartments with CCTV cameras". I don't know of any apartment dwellers who do. Homes, yes, apartments, no.

Other than perhaps the landlord's website that states "Our Stonegate Village gives you luxury living at an affordable price with dishwasher, central air, swimming pool, and private balconies", I don't know how you could confuse Stonegate Village Apartments with "luxury". Of course, you haven't actually seen them. If you had, you would understand that it is not a place that would have security cameras.

I can't find "security system" anywhere on the Stonegate website, please provide a link. I do find reference to "security entrance" which means there is a locked door leading to the common area in individual buildings, not cameras, not burglar alarms.

I don't think it's an actual security system. On the Stonegate Village website (not the link above) it only says secure entrance.

That's not the Stonegate Village website, that is apartments.com, a third party.

This website is the management company, https://www.roysebrinkmeyer.com/champaign/stonegate-village/#amenities-section
This is the complex website, https://www.swimsgv.com/

Can you find "security system" on either of these websites?

I think that in viewing the website run by the company we can see that it is unlikely that they have a video security system, as they advertise only the secure entrances. If they had security cameras, that would certainly be an amenity they would advertise as well. The apartment finder website probably uses "security system" as a catch-all phrase to indicate any security measures.

I also agree that it probably isn't what most would consider "luxury" apartments, and I'd take that description with a grain of salt and not assume lots of security or anything else. The video kittyhare posted looks like pretty basic apartments to me, a step up from some of the cracker boxes I lived in previously, but about as nice as one of my non-luxury, but still pretty nice, apartments in Nashville.

What evidence could they even have that can point towards the complete destruction of a body besides what he said? Killers often lie. I mean, I am trying to think what someone can have set up or done in a short amount of time and in a small confined area and none of it makes any logical sense.

Its the big question.. I was trying to fathom whether his apartment had a bath.. but even if he drowned her the time frame was too short for any kind of chemical disintegration to have taken place..
Here's the time frame again http://www.news-gazette.com/sites/all/files/pdf/2017/06/30/christensen_complnt_17-mj-07132_1.pdf
we discussed lots of things.. dumpster?incineration?lake with weights attached?

Thinking now lake with weights attached or dumpster ..again..
I suppose dumpster theory depends upon whether rubbish goes through a sorting process before destruction? Not sure..

I could find no chemical that would act to dissolve a body wholly in a space of 2-3 days..

Horrible case.

Yea...

My only thoughts on the lake or dumpster theory is I have a hard time seeing LE declaring they will never recover the body if disposed of like that. I've seen LE hunt through landfills before and announce thats where it likely is and bodies show up from the ocean, let alone a lake or pond. A shallow grave might be harder to find than the body in a lake. If it was acid he's have to have a hottub full of it and with reports he was living with someone that could havebeen proven.

I just wonder what they have on him. if anything.

Sorry for being graphic, thinking out loud

I agree with you..
They have the alleged tape and if they have anything else they're not saying..

Vast amounts of work went into sleuthing on this forum alone, its likely the college students also searched like crazy..
As every day passed, hearts just sunk lower and lower..

UNLESS, longshot here.. they found evidence or suspect him of being involved in other similar murders..and he had a means of disposal.. like Webthrush suggested a few days ago.. meat processing..
Fire/furnace...?
UNLESS.. they have evidence he purchased chemicals. like the irish girl murdered in the nightclub in Scotland last year or year before..Karen Buckley.. perp brought her body to a farm and attempted to dissolve it it in a lime combination.. Police found evidence he had visited several hardware shops and of his purchases.
They got there before her body was completely destroyed..
He also 'gave her a ride home' but according to him, she left early.
he even resembled him physically, his demeanor..
Heres a link to that case https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...lexander-pacteau-jailed-for-at-least-23-years

The only thing I can think of is a meat grinder (but thats very loud and would need to travel elsewhere without being seen) or a predetermined grave dug with the chemicals already in place.

Everything is being held close to the chest and its just so confusing with no general idea. Like I keep thinking, what , how could he have done this?

Im also sure the FL abduction 101 has been searched top to bottom for any references or "tips" or "instructions"
