When you mention someone trained, are you thinking possibly someone like ex-military? Or more along the lines of someone who is a life-long hunter of animals or "hit man" quality...like someone who works for the mob and "offs" snitches?

Think of what happened to Skylea C. The police did not even think to search the house unless AC herself did not confess. They should have been there on day one, with dogs! And initial plan of AC was to wait till the thrash collector would come. What if she had? And the case would end up as any “disappearance” case.

Now with the Delphi case, it indeed might be a difficult, not straightforward, situation, an FBI realm. I am thinking about it more and more. And the police is sitting on the information and not moving, essentially.

Either BG is too smart, or police, not up to the task, but maybe, both.

I agree with this completely. By just saying “we are just getting started”, to me, is an admission that LE wasted 2 years. Discounting the first sketch is an admission that you wasted everybody's time, including the families and others who tried making sure it was distributed across the country.
I still believe LE was overconfident at the beginning because of having a video and audio, and felt the case and an arrest would come to them with minimal effort. By the time they realized that wasn’t happening, they were way behind opportunities were lost.

It must be so discouraging for the families of the victims. LE sounded so confident in their press conferences, but IMO they don't really have much to go on and the perp may never be id'ed, if he is even still alive. If someone read your first and last sentence they'd maybe get excited but the content in the middle is misunderstanding of powers of law enforcement and just general human nature IMO MOO JMO - they can't just decide they're doing something, they need cause that satisfies whichever Judge they are saddled with some of which are notoriously hardline "prove to me someones life is at risk or i'm not signing anything", they could be dealing with. Imagine anyone telling you you need to PROVE something, outside of my identity, work history and relationships there's very things i think i could actually PROVE.

Imagine you had to go to Tricia or another Admin to get permission before every post, you've almost certainly had posts deleted here because we all have, imagine each one of those represents an individual failure that decreases your value in your profession.

Yeah. This is absolutely a factor in this case, imo. My concern is that somebody is thowing a wrench into this investigation to prevent a resolution. For me, that means the suspect could be some sort of prominent individual who is being protected. (More specifically, protected by fanboiz and or fangurlz.)

Police were doing the full investigation, I saw nothing curtailed. RSO's checked, door to door, traffic point stops to search for witnesses and 3000 interviews with DNA profiles taken where appropriate, CS evidence processed, electronics searched.
If a direction emerged this year, I would be interested if it was something overlooked or something new, but it is all, even the failures part of keeping at it.

For your own safety, you may want to go back and delete the posts where you described the situation/person and the statements you were going to send in a tip.In the past, the actual killer in different cases was reading and following their victim's thread on WS to see if they were being mentioned as a possible suspect. They were, and were at or near the top of most people's suspect lists.

So what if BG reads Owl4's post? Let him. He should be the one that's fearful—of LE breaking down his door in the middle of the night.

This, or it's just a really hard case to solve (convict if they already know who he is, imagine the uproar here if they charged someone and failed to convict, now imagine the uproar in places that actually matter like within a police department) and LE aren't informing us for a reason which is often the case.

I agree it may be really hard to solve. I personally think one reason it has been really hard to solve is LE refused to release ANY information early on that the public may have recognized and helped with. A huge mistake in my opinion.

Sorry but I don't agree with much of your post at all. This is a discussion forum with some rules, not a court of law. We present opinion, theory and fact for discussion by others, that's all. We are not going to solve the case, but LE is, hopefully, and then present it to prosecutors when the time is right. We can hope.

In cases they solve it's almost never a mistake to withhold information though. It's often the thing that leads to conclusive convictions.

Neither were a surprise to a reasonable person.

A lot of people in the states must be unreasonable then as Hurricane Dorian took everyone by surprise it seems according to this article.

Hi @Nadal - I really want to change my handle to Federer now , lol!

First - Trisha and other admins have removed my posts, of course. However - it is my sincere belief that Tricia and Websleuths have done a lot to keep awareness of the Delphi case. If for this reason only, I trust them. Implicitly.

And then - the comparison is not valid, JMO. If I had to go to them before each post, i’d leave this forum long ago. Do you imply that the police, being accountable to the judges and DA, has lost their enthusiasm for the case? This would be very sad.

My biggest issue with this police - I like to think out of the box, but I can not. I like to make my own psychological portraits, but the information is nada. Worse. First, we had the portrait of an older blue-collar dude who looked like a boozer and a smoker, and was almost too good for the perp, you know? Then they were after Nations. In my mind, he was probably as far from Delphi as hurricane Dorian is from my coast now, but maybe the LE knew something, said I to myself.

Fast forward. In two years, the old wheezing, humping, limping dude is replaced by the portrait of pre-pubertal male and we are told to keep our eyes open for anyone resembling him, but he may look very different now, change haircut or sport a goatee, gain weight, you know? He is 18-40 but may look younger, was in the vicinity of Delphi on February 13, 2017, likes to hunt and fish, and still has some conscience. He is local but no one can identify him. He walks like at least one of his legs has a nerve damage, but never mind, it is just the bridge, and he speaks like 50% of Midwestern men do. His eyes are likely not blue and hair, dark auburn, and he may have parked next to now-demolished CPS building. (For all I know, he might have used a bike, a moped, or a car. Some “vehicle” that the public has to identify).
Oh, and go read the Shack because is obviously has some answers.

My current version is one step away from “the aliens did it”, but I think given with the paucity of the information we have, the aliens might go.
