We really need to figure out a way to educate these young girls about how dangerous it is to share personal information (especially, their HOME ADDRESS!) with a total stranger they met online. No matter how fineeeee he looks in his online photos. I realize that doing so is a bit tricky and a lot complex but… WE MUST find a way to get this message across to our younger generations. It has to really resonate without being preachy or dramatic. Girls giving out their home addresses is like a defcon 2 level situation, IMO.

I am not at all blaming the young girls. It’s our responsibility as adults to figure out a way to relay the dangers in such a way that it sticks (with scaring them or causing another satanic panic, of course).
Replying to my own post to say this should’ve said withOUT scaring them*** good grief!

Ah! I think I missed that, wow. I thought from early days that Libby's phone indicated no unusual contact with any possible catfish, and that it was reported as so in the media? I wonder if she may've had a burner phone as well, which was taken from the scene.

I wonder about the phone as well.
Way back in the early days, I could swear that there were statements made that LG's phone had been "messing up" and that someone did a factory reset just before the day of the murder...am I crazy, or did BP say that LG had her phone instead? I mean on that day. Maybe it wasn't said?
So...because of the condition of LGs phone..(the one at the scene) and the fact that her personal phone was factory reset..it took a long time to be able to retrieve certain information.

I will admit , I am the last person to know how it works when there are phones with extensive damage and factory resets being examined to try to retrieve information and data.

Yes, I too recall re. the reset of LG's being done about a week before the murder, maybe after the sleepover she went to where phone contact was made with Ashots account? That is my take. I'm not sure about borrowing BP's phone, it sounds vaguely familiar but maybe someone else here recalls.

This is all stunning to find out! I still don't understand why and how all this new info (to us) came out? A poster here said it was posted briefly on a LE or court site, if that is true why only briefly? And why release it at this point, anyone know?

this is not a release .. its an erroneous leak ..it was there briefly on some site and the podcast snatched it ..

we also know that the girls talked in the audio before the crime of girls stuff
the family listened and le listened but imagine they never mentioned they were meeting the dude ..more sense making

The site was a court that allows Le and attorneys to see certain documents.
It was obtained by an attorney.

sure one the guys in the podcast is an attorney...it doesnt make it right

For a long time, I was of the same belief as you in this being random. But now we have a police interview suggesting that multiple friends and the a_shots account all say that L wanted to meet up with a_shots. We don't have to believe that, nor do we have to believe a_shots was one of the last people to talk to L that day, or that LE have determined there was more than one user to the a_shots account from the same house in Peru. But then I'm not sure what the point was for LE to put out that a_shots ask in Dec.

In my view, I'm still not convinced that the girls were lured to the bridge that day, but I'm highly suspicious that somebody connected to a_shots knew they were going by the time they left L's house.

Yes, that makes alot of sense. And like you mention, it isn't necessarily KAK or his dad who committed this crime, could be someone else using that account! I certainly wouldn't discount that. IMO.

wasn’t KAK and his phone in Vegas when he was googling about dna and ip addresses and wasn’t he with friend 1? I’d really like to know what they have on friend 1.

According to the Affidavit, KAK went to Los Vegas after the murders, do we know he also was there before or at the same time?

KAK stated he was at home, with his dad, and at his grandparents on the day of the murder in the interview with Barbara McDonald.
When interviewed by LE he said that he was at home.
LE said they tracked his phone to a place on Country Club Road. He then replied that would be his drug dealer aka friend1. But then claims that he does not drive.

EBM for grammar

Agreed.
Having said that, it doesn't make those documents any less truthful.

Police are allowed to lie when interviewing suspects so even though some of the statements are included in the interview, what we don’t know is if it’s all factual and truthful. For example, LE would know of KAK’s prior catfishing victims and so if he engaged in certain behaviour they might’ve packaged it all together and tossed it out to KAK hoping they could obtain a confession. This is a reason interviews aren’t typically released to the public in advance to a trial and officer’s testimony, it may be facts or it may only be an interrogation strategy.

From the interview it sounds like those searches occurred on the short trip after the murders, when he traveled with his father. At some point he moved in with that friend in LV for a time. He did try to throw friend and friend's gf under the bus because he couldn't decide whether he had complete control over his devices and log-in credentials or maybe just maybe they used them and put the illegal materials on them when he was asleep/passed out/or with his permission.

Yes. That is true!
I still believe that the bulk of what is said is true.
