More rambling. Today I was thinking about the vehicle at the CPS lot again. More important than the announcement of the vehicle itself, which we haven't heard anything more about, is what KR said in one of the clarifications. He said the vehicle was significant because it showed the killer got around quickly that day (paraphrasing).
So, got around quickly as opposed to what? Hanging around not having a quick way out? IMO, BG got to the trails one way or another; he didn't just appear there. By vehicle makes the most sense for anyone who doesn't live right next to the trail.
IDK, I think it's possible that LE knows a fair amount about this vehicle (KR expressed it was a "car" in one interview) and how the killer came and left the area that day.
IMO, the "got around quickly" could indicate that LE suspects the killer knew the girls were going to the bridge that afternoon, and/or followed them there. To be able to get there and intercept them on short notice, he would have to be local and probably use a vehicle. JMO.
If we look at the Ks, for example, maybe LE actually has information like: what device was communicating with L that morning, what vehicle was there, and a whole slew of other evidence that points to a particular household, but not to which specific occupant.
The lack of an arrest is not going to deter me from thinking LE is on the right trail.
I absolutely agree about the seizures--they might be real, they might just be a convenient excuse. "Gosh, K., why don't you look for a job?" [Oh, I've got these seizures, see, and I can't work!] "K., you've got spare time, why not get your GED?" [Gosh, my medical condition won't let me!] Excuses. Might be some truth to them, but as you say, there's no reason to believe them without documentation, IMO.
