Slightly O/T. Clocks went forward over there today so that means EST is 4 hours behind the UK now? 2 more weeks until we put ours forward here.

*Note to self - For the next 2 weeks remember 4 hours not 5, in the event of any more pressers.

As far as I know, nobody has stated that they think the property owner "did it". People are asked to think about all possibilities and to consider every option, calling in tips when appropriate. The man was arrested last night, at midnight, and has a criminal record as a habitual substance abuser. Reporting this development is not akin to spreading rumors. IMHO
No, not rumors, agreed. But can you tell me how you feel it's helpful to this case?

LE has arrested multiple parole and probation violators in the course of this investigation. So is it just because the girls were found on his property?

I'm honestly trying to understand the importance of his arrest since he is not a suspect or POI.

I'm confused (again). I keep hearing the PO was arrested at midnight? Is there a source for that?

Our first notice that there was an arrest (turned out to be PO for probation violation) was posted yesterday at 06:24 PM.

I know this link has been posted before, but it's good information in light of a recent arrest (at this time unrelated to the murders) in Delphi. Please err on the side of caution when posting.

Although the article is referring to SM when it says "Theories are useless if people don't know the evidence..." it also hampers me from wanting to discuss any additional theories here.

Seems to me that its a slippery slope for LE to be arresting people on probation violations, I mean some things can not be over looked. But if you are pleading for tips and cooperation in this investigation and somebody with skeletons in their closet knows things that could help, I would think that said people would be hesitant to reach out with the news of multiple unrelated arrests being made while following tips. Seems to me that LE would rather keep arrests under wraps and say instead, if you know something but are afraid to come forward bc of your own legal issues don't worry bc we are only concerned about information regarding this case. I have seen LE make these statements in other cases and it kind of seems like they are sending mixed messages in this case. MOO

Edited to add : probation violations that were found when investigating the murders. Obviously I'm not saying that all probation violators should be given a free pass simply bc a murder investigation is ongoing.....

Who are you referring to as the key? Who is PO?

BG = Bridge Guy

PO=Property owner

Do we now have two drinking games? (It took me 24 hours to figure out what PO meant!)

'intake' time is listed as midnight (Friday night/Saturday Morning) I presume intake time is when he was booked in. I can't access to check being outside the US

I believe you answered your own question. Interest is piqued precisely because the bodies were found on his property after a follow up search conducted 3 weeks after the murders.

So, no tweets from LE that the recent arrest is not connected to the murder investigation.

Where are the reporters? McAdams has been pretty good, where is she? What station does she work for? Maybe she needs a heads up.

I am not familiar with her tweets at all? Link?

I have: (one no longer with LE as on vacation or such?) these twitter folks ... others to add?

https://twitter.com/AlexisMcAdamsTV e.d.. channel 59 who has had apologized to LE for their reports, according to LE. Go grain of salt with her and her channel :moo: as they do clickbait headlines :moo:

Arrested Friday night/Saturday morning - midnight. not last night.

Any time a parole officer finds you have violated your parole and the conditions of your parole, you are held without bond until the court date. A parole violation almost always means you will serve the rest of the sentence you had initially been given.

If this person had (4) DWI arrests, then it could be as simple as him being caught in public having been drinking alcohol or been drunk.

Any parole violation in any state is without bond until court date.

MOO
it is my understanding that is a probation violation and not parole. They can hold you as well on a probation violation. Parole would indicate that he served prison time.

Riley said the girls’ bodies were found in a wooded area about 50 feet from the banks of Deer Creek in an area less than a mile upstream from the railroad bridge that’s known locally as the Monon High Bridge.

He thanked volunteers who helped search the base of the bridge and surrounding trails for the girls, whose bodies were found by one of those volunteers.

Sources tell Call 6 Investigates that a set of footprints are what led volunteers to the area the bodies were found.

It sounds like a group of volunteers were searching, they found a set of footprints which they followed to an "area" / not to the actual bodies, but then at some point, a singular person from the search party found the girls. They must have spread out after they found the footprints. Just basing that on the quotes from the two sources.. not sure with what accurately the information was reported. Wish we knew if "set" meant a set from a single person, or set of multiple persons.

I just watched this media conference again

I really have my doubts this was one person that murdered the girls & I also have a feeling who ever did this had it all planned out in advance.
I'm going to quote a few of the answers LE had for some of the questions the media were asking, obviously I can't hear the questions but the answers are interesting none the less.

"One of two things happened, it was a chance encounter, that's possible, I don't think it's likely but it's possible, or that person knew they were going to be there, that's possible too"

" We have other information that we're not sharing, keep in mind that there's a likeliness and possibility of more than one person, we're not saying that the voice that you heard is the same as this person here (points at photo of BG) This is all very complicated, very involved and as much as we would like to tell you everything, more importantly we would like to solve the crime"

Does anyone else feel like this is more than one person involved?

bbm

I've always though there was only one. I don't really have a solid set of reasons for that though. I just find it so hard wrap my mind around two...How do you talk someone into helping you with something like this? Or can there really be two people so twisted and demented?

I know there have been teams killers before, but this crime is just so... I don't know... you'd have to have crawled from the depths of hell to take two bright, loving, young friends, who were out on a glorious sunny day having fun together, and destroy them.

And two perps would double the chance of mistakes being made, evidence left, plus more chances of someone talking, or people being suspitious ... I have to admit, that quote you shared does make does make me reconsider though. "there's a likeliness" Hmmmmm

Is there a possibility that they followed thru on arresting P.O. at midnight for his probation violation , regardless of his age, regardless of his health issues because maybe he might be one of those people who saw evidence not released by LE. A 'Loose lips sink ships' kind of preventative measure? If he saw something while LE , ME, investigators all over the place, possibly saw evidence or overheard a conversation by LE , possibly they were afraid he would have a few drinks, drive down to the local bar and let loose with some private Intel that was not supposed to repeat? Possibly locking him up due to probation violation also prevents him from talking about things he may have seen or heard to family members, friends, neighbors, etc? JMOHO

Can someone link where the info of RL arrested at midnight is coming from? I can't find anything in MSM at all.

I'm just stunned after watching the six "retracing Abby's and Libby's steps across Monon High Bridge" YouTube videos done by a caring couple. The videos are so eye-opening. Thank you caring couple.

After watching them, there is no doubt in my mind that the BG is a local and this is an isolated case. Imho, BG is intimately familiar with that bridge and the land.

There is no doubt in my mind that this isn't a drifter who just happened to be there or some SK playing around on the internet looking at YouTube or hiking sites and scouting out remote places where young girls might be. And it's not some catfishing guy from far away.

That bridge walk is horrifying. I cannot believe CMX left that attractive nuisance to stand. I cannot believe there are not any "no trespassing" signs. I cannot believe Carroll County actually set up a trail system to encourage people to walk over to that bridge and tempt them to cross it without clearly posting private property and liability warnings. But maybe that's a whole other topic.

After watching those videos, there is NO doubt in my mind that BG is a local, or former local, with his own set of reasons and compulsions, IMHO.
