"First time he's had a picture of the killer." Non plural.

JMO but there' only one person in the photo so even if there are 30 killers, he would only have a photo of one of them. JMO but maybe it can't be read into quite like that? I'm not convinced they know how many killers there were based on their own statements to that end. JMO

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks and no arrest :(.

I posted this same info. with the same type of logo several threads ago and my post was deleted.

The entire geocaching angle was taken down back then, so your post was perhaps part of that action. I am glad you had a similar thought. Perhaps you can chime in with it?

"One Flora, Ind. resident said he doesn’t know why, but police asked if they could question him Thursday.

He told 24-Hour News 8 he agreed to a cotton swab test and let police search his phone before they let him go."

Wonder what they are looking for on the phones?

i have always thought it is his shirt tail too

Jmo - if there was only the one pic, where his hoodie is up (imo) I could probably believe he has a "fanny" bag. I do see something kind of squarish & brown, but seeing the other pic..it looks like just the bottom of a brown or rust colored shirt, laying flat against his jeans. This makes me think the "squarish" brown thing was possibly just his shirt tail bunched up. Unless, he has a fanny bag and in the one pic it's under his jacket and in the other it dropped down.

:dunno:

What's so odd in the first photo it looks like the shirt he has under his jacket.
Then in the second photo it really does look like a fanny pack.
These 2 pictures are so odd we seem to see different things in each

Geocaching logo patches can be purchased and sewn on. MOO

Yes, any logo could possibly be purchased and sewn on, even peel and stick. Most men would not be likely to so this, IMO. However ..., if what little I can see on the thing around his waist/fanny pack, the logo looks to me to be imprinted, not a separate sewn item. Am I mistaken ... do others see it differently?

For the record, I am completely unfamiliar with the geocaching angle or hobby. The first time ever I checked that symbol was in another case in Texas (MB) due to the similarity of a monument sign with that symbol(..). When I processed the image of the POI again a couple of days ago, I used another algorithm and saw immediately, what it could be.

Now, I am saying this is this or that. I don't even claim, there is a logo for sure. I am just saying, I processed it very lightly (!) and this is what came out. Some programs have great dynamic ranges and previews and let you fine tune to a t.

Same goes with the shirt design. I have no clue, what it is, could be something completely different. I can only go, with what I see.

I don't know, if the victims were geocaching. I don't know, if the BG was geocaching. What I do know is, that it would be a great "excuse" to be just anywhere in the landscape IMO.

Thanks, Nin

Isn't it unfortunate that RL seems to be wearing nearly identical clothing to the BG???
No wonder people are suspicious!
Sure hope the police just come out and say it is NOT him as there are a lot of horrible things being said online right now.

I don't think there was any casual banter.
I do believe he had one girl by the arm and told the other get down the hill.
Jmo
I agree.
From the vid still...he was rushing towards the girls at that point...I think it escalated quite rapidly from that point on. The "down the hill" was a command. I heard it as get down the hill myself

From that article

Saturday night a local man known to investigators was arrested on a probation violation, and there have been several arrests of suspects on drug-related charges during the investigation.

“There’s been multiple arrests based on this investigation of people who have had nothing to do with it,” said Carter, “and I’m sure that will continue.”

Thank you for pointing this out.

Thank you for pointing this out.
To me they are stating he is innocent of this. Just wish they would spell it out as some people still are not getting the memo and I feel terrible for this man

Agreed. I think something like him rushing toward them is what made Libby hit record, sadly. And I also hear "get down the hill." All MOO

Maybe LE, because they've seen more of the video (we've only seen two pictures snipped from the video) has been able to discern what he's wearing better than we'll ever be able to.

They have the day wrong but there it is.

perhaps they are doing a dna sweep? i don't know the legalities of that. would work though to round up people who didn't 'volunteer' samples.

and it only takes one of multiple arrests based on this investigation to identify that one person who may have done it. (if they can legally take their dna).

Question here re this violation.

If this was an older violation LE would have arrested him when this all happened. Correct? Once they run his name they would have found it.
Sooo. This has to be new or it was old and felt the need to take him into custody.

Indeed. If he is totally innocent of this crime (and I think he is), he has been put through hell for his other choices in the past.

I was wondering if the perp could still be traced if he used his phone in airplane mode during the attack but I discovered the gps could still be tracked. I wonder if they feel the perp could have taken images or recordings during the attack as a trophy. It's too horrific to think about.

Or possibly they want to see how closely they have been following the case.

At least we know now from the police that the land owner appears to have been arrested on an entirely unrelated charge.
