We have no info from LE regarding COD.
To add to that, we don't know time of death of either girl. Many people have run with the different death dates in their obituaries to speculate that one lived longer than the other, but those could just be a mistake.

If they had split up and run in different directions, they may have had a chance. What they didn't know is that they needed to hold their ground, because going with a stranger, even one who is threatening them with a gun, is so much worse.

I saw a guy on TV who said make noise, scream, fight and don't go with them. If they're going to kill you there, you're already dead anyway and it might scare them off.

agreed ... I intend to have this very serious conversation with my two nieces - I've already told them this but I'm going to use Abby and Libby's story to reinforce it and hope that they are never in a position to have to remember the advice

Yes I agree that the sleeves will be similar. It's a dark navy, with a black stripe down the sleeve for sure. I had this one saved, but it's not quite a match either.

You just reminded me of the blue and black Mountain Hardware Epic jacket my son has. It's at least 12 years old. It has a zipper but also snaps which matches the front of this suspect's jacket and the way it looks zipped yet open. Found this photo on an eBay posting.

From GH's video. Is this old or new? I don't recall seeing this area blocked by crime tape in earlier video and photos.

If LE has the info or can confirm or deny a hat on or hoodie up it would open the door for new tips IMO. If we started to consider a full head of hair it IMO would put the suspect in a younger age bracket and would cause more people to think about men they know that are younger. MOO. I know they said he's wearing a hoodie but I've never read that they say he's wearing a hat or that the hoodie is up all the way. If I am incorrect please tell me.

I have considered this as well.

As an adult in a group, I would likely make a break for it. I'd believe if one of us gets away we at least have a chance of getting help, but if we both get captured...than they have almost total control. BUT, that said, if my kids were involved, forget about it. No question I would rather go to my death trying to save and comfort them than separate from them.

God be with anyone who finds themselves in these situations. It's a tragic world when vulnerable people are faced with these types of choices.

For parents out there: My dad, like everyone's, always taught me to run before they get close to you. And to give up my possessions when asked, that nothing was worth my life.

And he always said if they did manage to grab you or turn a weapon on you, to scream and fight like you never have before, because that gives you at least a chance of drawing attention to them and them abandoning their mission. Once they get you in a vehicle, my dad always felt your chances diminish and it is too late to fight. I am sure there are different opinions on what to do, but this rings true to me still.

Heartbreaking what happened to these girls. I pray their killer is brought to justice today!!

The best chance to survive is to avoid the chances to meet with those psychopaths. I am not sure facing a planned SK with gun, even 4 girls may not survive. Imagine if he kills one immediately I guess all the other three will be terrified and comply. So said for this world!

BBM..As far as I'm aware I don't think they've ever stated whether the hoodie was up/down, only that he was wearing one and a hat wasn't included in their description at all, at least not in the description I remember reading, so I don't believe he had a hat.

jmo.

To the best of my knowledge they have never specified. But, they also never suggested hair is visible by stating a color. IMHO, no hair is visible.

It looks up to me. I don't see the supposed white bag or knife either, so maybe I need glasses.

In the gif Nin did I thought it looks like the hood is up in one and down in the other. Sure wish we could see the missing frames in between those 2 grabs. I was trying to see what else looked different between the two. I have glasses but think I need cold eye compresses :/

I don't get taking two times the risk in unfamiliar surroundings in broad daylight in small town middle America. I'm not a murderer, but is taking risk part of the thrill,as the actual killing? Was he prepared to kill someone with that gun people see if anyone happened on them? I guess it's all possibilities but probabilities?

As someone else stated, if there had been three young girls then, perhaps, we would be searching for the killer of three young girls. We cannot allow the taking of two of our children, at one time, to become a trend.

The area is secluded from town where the banks and businesses are located yet connects that area by way of the Highway Bridge. The Monon High Bridge and Deer Creek would be my favorite hang out if I was a 13yo living in Delphi. Not everyone gets to have that natural treasure tucked away in their backyard.

 Can't think. The video has blown my happy little mind into fragmented pieces.

Hah! And a glass or 2 of wine & 3 Tylenol..

I hate to bring this up, but can you see glasses on him? I think I do.

It's seems like LE could release the video Liberty took (Slocum mentioned last week they got pics of BG from her video and enlarged them) of BG walking even if from a distance, it may help to recognize his walk. Also early on a video stated RL's neighbor followed footprints when he located the bodies. If they have footprints, wouldn't they know what shoe size BG has? These pieces of information might be helpful to public and not harmful to investigation IMO. Time to release more information, 6 weeks today.

No my eyes are bleeding. Really though I can't tell. I need to check this out on a bigger screen but then I'd have to get up. lol

The animated gif is not supposed to show the gait, it really couldn't. If I estimate app. half of a second between the two frames, we are missing app. 10 to 12 frames from in-between based on 24fps.

I made the animated gif initially to present my theory i.e. that Libby (if she took the video) was either moving herself or her hand, basically saying, that she may have been in motion. This may have caused the poor quality - blurr etc. - in addition to artifacts possibly due to compression etc..

The animated gif is a practical way IMO to directly compare details between the two images, not the gait.

I should have probably pointed it out to begin with, so I thank you for mentioning it.

All IMO

Nin's description of the gif.

It is a shame the image of BG is so poor. Reminds me of bad surveillance video from bank robberies. I imagine it has to be the clearest they have of him and they hoped somehow it would be enough. But just reading weeks on end of what people are seeing and how many countless variations have come up, it would surprise me if the image has anything to do with finally (hopefully) identifying him. More likely, in my opinion, a tip may come in saying they can't tell from the pic but have an idea of a man who might do such a thing who was unaccounted for that day.

The police said a hoodie and jacket.
Police also said the two photos of BG which they released are the best they have; so, theoretically, our guess as to what BG is wearing is as good as theirs.

Wow, just wow. That was scary and intense. Down the hill.

Watched GH's latest video (good job, GH!!). The first drop going "down the hill" was truly terrifying. Said drop was so very, very steep. The sense of isolation I got as the camera caught the descent was overwhelming.

As a kid, I grew up with a river basically in my back yard (very rural Wisconsin). Our property was 20 - 30 feet above the river; to get to it, we had to go down steep gullies. Once down by the river, we were very isolated from neighbors. This video emphasized that isolation.

Scary . . .

I agree, this is what I see too. One shot, the hood is up and the next, it appears to be down and he has a different hat on under the hoodie.

I wish there was more positive and some type of news that was helpful to being closer to catching this . My heart hurts for these girls... and makes me even more paranoid to ever hike in the woods than I already was.
