My stomach is just in knots over this, it has been for months!

In the worst way possible I want this to be him, I want some kind justice for Abby and Libby and anyone else who has been murdered. I want some kind of closure for all of their families unfortunately nothing will bring them back.

As badly as I want these cases to be solved I have no idea if that is going to happen anytime soon. Truth be told we don't KNOW much more than we did in the following months Abby and Libby were killed. We have no idea of there was DNA or not. We have no idea how the girls were killed. We have speculated so many angles of this case.

Now at this point one MSM link says he is the POI and another says he is NOT. [emoji52]

With that being said I am going to go outside and talk a walk and reflect on things and say some prayers for answers for their families. At this point that's the only thing I can control, because my brain is on overload sleuthing someone who is and is not a POI.

Well, duh.

I asked if they've said in what manner? How? Stabbing, shooting, strangulation etc. Following this case closely and I've never seen it leaked.
You mean cause of death. No it has never been released or leaked to protect the integrity of the investigation.

new poster alert: just stopping to add this tidbit: I looked him up on mycase.in.gov - he's been arrested in numerous indiana counties since 2014. Interestingly, new felony charges were filed against him yesterday out of Johnson County (for failure to register as a convicted SO)

May be completely unrelated...

Interesting, maybe trying to secure his extradition back.

Welcome to Websleuths!

I have been following this case since the beginning although I have only been a lurker on their WS threads. When I saw the news last night about a possible connection to Delphi, my heart skipped a few beats. I cannot get over the similarities between the BG sketch and one of DN's earlier mugshots. It's truly uncanny. I am praying that they finally have their man.

I am cautiously optimistic that there will be an arrest soon. There are definitely numerous things that point toward an actual connection.

Here is a timeline from Fox, if that is helpful. It is very thorough, and maybe could be used for timeline for this case if one doesn't already exist in the 67 threads.... http://fox59.com/2017/02/16/timelin...iberty-german-and-abigail-williams-in-delphi/

With one glaring error:

"5:30 p.m. The girls fail to show up at a predetermined location to be picked up by a family member. They’re reported missing."

They were to be picked up between 3 and 3:30 (IIRC). The way it is written is confusing. They were reported missing (to LE) at about 5:30. moo

Haven't seen this link posted, there's a pic of him being led in jail garb. Colorado has him on several charges in multiple locations apparently. (Disable your ********* or you can't see the article.) ETA: That censored part is supposed to say a d b l o c k e r. )

Nations was in court in Teller County on Wednesday for the weapons case, and was back in court Thursday in Cripple Creek for an unrelated hearing. Colorado court records show he also has a pending misdemeanor charge out of Georgetown for a false identification/false reporting charge from July.

But have they released the manner of death of the two girls?

As LE is looking for a killer, it's a given that manner of death would be homicide.

Well, duh.

I asked if they've said in what manner? How? Stabbing, shooting, strangulation etc. Following this case closely and I've never seen it leaked.

Many of us get confused by these terms. They are actually quite specific in their definitions as legal terms. For instance Manner of Death ( MOD) Which is what you asked above, is classified as 1) Natural 2) Accident 3) Suicide 4) Homicide 5) Undetermined or 6) Pending.

Early on, yes LE released the MOD ; "It wasn't until Wednesday afternoon that the bodies were positively identified as the missing girls. Their deaths are being investigated as a homicide. "

If this helps -
<snip>
"In order to properly complete this document, they must determine three things: the cause, the mechanism, and the manner of death. There is often confusion about which is which."
<snip>
"The cause of death is the disease or injury that produces the physiological disruption inside the body resulting in death, for example, a gunshot wound to the chest. "

BBM;
It hasn't been leaked not even to the family. All we know is the Manner of Death, not the Cause of Death nor the Mechanism of Death.

"Investigating - its mixture of chance and skill, bluffing and forthrightness, ... We can play our cards close to the vest, tip our hand, lay our cards on the table. Or just bluff. ...Each is a strategy with a purpose."

Just an anecdote someone shared with me.

Someone was asking about the shooting of the cyclist. This bit of info from this article talks about the weapon. Media info is not confirmed by El Paso Co. though....:
Gazette news partner KKTV reported that a gun recovered from Nations' vehicle during the stop matched the caliber used to killed Watkins, but El Paso County spokeswoman Jacqueline Kirby said "none of that has been confirmed."

And this about his criminal history:
Nations' criminal history would prevent him from legally owning a firearm. He was convicted of domestic battery in the presence of a child, a felony, in Indiana in 2016. He also has a long history of lesser offenses, including a 2015 public indecency conviction in 2007 and a slew of traffic violations, records show. He is a registered sex offender.

Hmm...what's with the July false ID/false reporting charge? I'm assuming Georgetown is in CO?

No "duh" about it.

Manner of death is what category the death falls into (i.e. homicide, natural, suicide, misadventure, etc)
Cause of death is the actual thing that happened to cause death (i.e. stabbing, gunshot, etc.)

Cause of death has never been released in this case.

ETA: West Coast just catching up here this morning. I see this has already been thoroughly addressed by veteran WSers. :)

We got dis Sillybilly!
